Some scan probes are so short lived that there's no point in even launching them if your skills aren't up to par. When attempting to launch a probe, I would like to see this error popup if the launcher's scan time is less than the probe's flight time:
The xxx probe has a flight time of xxx seconds. With your current ship and skills, you will not have time to complete a scan cycle of xxx seconds before the probe expires.
The same error should be generated when attempting to start a scan with one or more probes that will expire before the next cycle completes.

Use a recon launcher mate... also if you have covops skill hop into one. If not hop into a Heron, Imicus, or Probe.

I agree with you. No player who has not read every single thread and post that was posted on the forum should be allowed to play. Should reduce the lag quite a bit.

You don't have to read all threads but there are probably 10-20 threads started about more or less the same things with regards to probing just in the last 2 days. For us who have tested probed and know the answers it starts to become very tiering to answer the same questions over and over and over and over again.
But I guess we could just ignore the questions if that would make you feel better...
