Edited by: Protunia on 29/11/2006 08:50:31 The constant checking rechecking and them not closing at all after looting was old after the first mission.
I know there are supposed to be skills to salvage them, but cant they close when the loot empties? or is there a small problem with that part because the can still be salvaged? Some of us wont have the skills for awhile.
If the changed color after they had been looted that might help some and some how were flagged as opened.
I know ;) just was strange to see SOOOO many wrecks all over the screen sitting there after i did a dead space complex a couple times.
A Couple of other thoughts as well.
Are these wrecks flagged as criminal if someone accidentally shoots someone elses?? because if thats the case I see more people dieing to can death while in groups etc.
They seem to stay tooo long if they are going to never go away too. If I ran through a dead space area 5-6 times there would be hundreds of these things floating around.
The only thing that can save you is a tractor beam as you can spread them out as your collecting them by moving at the same time. My Character Stats

Several people complained about it. you can actually blow up wrecks. Although it's somewhat time consuming..

heh I cant imagine having to blow up everything two times.
hopefully there is a way to at least let someone know that they have searched them or that they are emptied. My Character Stats

If i look in a dumpster and its empty, the only way for you to know its empty also, is to look in it.

When looted the name changes from "X wrack" to "Looted X Wrack".
When checked the name changes from "X wrack" to "Inspected X Wrack".
Now there's an spectacular idea!
I'm a flippin' genius! A grade A++ stupidity filter!
CCP should hire me before someone else does! If they do I can guarantee that underdeveloped concepts like this don't make it past QA.

Actually if you just retry on the wreck a few times with the salvager, it disappears on a 'success' (although might report 'there was nothing to salveage'

Salvager steals a high slot I used for the tractor beam. No thanks.
And it takes time, it is more mouse clicks (RSI anyone? ) and it is simply annoying having to click even more just for an almost worthless item (you need hundreds of them for a single production run).
Again: no thanks.

Users should not have to compensate for poor design.
