I'm hoping that this is an oversight on CCP's part when they changed the speed penalty from a set speed amount to a percentage on this module.
BEFORE the Revelations patch the Expanded Cargo Hold II was 29%.
AFTER the Revelations patch it is 27.5%.
Talking about getting shafted... yet AGAIN! __________

I logged in to my Bustard not moving anywhere because my Beta expanders no longer gave the same bonus I guess. I don't remember what it was before, but its 25% now. And I had to eject a giant container to actually warp into game, basically losing cargo space. Grrrrr!

And in semi-related news, the Shield Power Relay II was reduced to 24% from 27.5%, as well as having the PG bonus removed. Though I'll admit that the original version would have been way overpowered.
As it is, I can't help but think that the T2 rig for reducing shield recharge time is too good. 25% for only 75 calibration points. Passive shield tanks are going to rule small combat. |

I'm hoping this is a mistake too. After waiting all that time to finally get the expander 2's, saving for them and then... "Revelations backhandedly set them to the same benefit as the local hull expanders I sold and replaced? Come on guys, this is definitely not cool or fair. Please fix this or give one heck of a good explanation.

It's not a mistake... It was posted long before the patch came out. I kinda feel sorry for you if you blew several hundred mil on T2 expanders, but at the end of the day a polite T.S. is going to be the response.
They seem more balanced to me but hey, whatever.

it needed to be done as now each hauler can add 3 expanded cargo hold Rigs to there hulls which will alow for you to come out with more capability on aggregate

Sure, the amount was nerfed, but did you even look at the other stats?
This change transformed my Impel from 'kinda/sorta' being the best industrial to being the ultimate pwnage mobile(as far as cargo space AND being able to move goes...).
There are also cargo expander rigs....with 2 of the TECH 1 cargo rigs and a full rack of EC II's, my Impel has over 33k cargo space AND it does over 300 m/s with a MWD!!!
One last observation...the speed penalty on expanders follows the same kind of stacking rules as damage mods, resist mods, etc..
This change rocks.

Most T2 modules in the game have the same stats as best named - so it's hardly surprising that the T2 expanders have changed to match locals when they are all rounded to better values.

I don't know.. I still don't buy it. I could take off one expander before and increase the speed just fine.. then add it back when I needed more space. What is the reason for the necessity of this nerf again? Rigs?
I'll withhold judgement a little longer.. I didn't get to play with Singulary but I thought I was paying attention.. I saw no warning. :O) maybe I wasn't on the warning mailing list. I probably wouldn't have spent the money if I had known.

Interesting information about the Rigs. I'll have to look into getting those for my Occator to boost it's cargo carrying capacity further.
Yep, I wasn't aware that the Expanded Cargo Hold II's were getting changed to the same specs as the best named expanders. Should have paid more attention on the test server. __________

I think one of the prime problem was the simple fact that T2 expanders had -15m/s penalty, for a total of -105m/s on a Impel. Now, the Impel has 80m/s making a base speed of -15m/s! With Navigation V and Indy V it'll go 23.4m/s BACKWARDS!
Also, Interceptors as crusader with 4 low slots can get a rather decent cargo capacity (330), and those -60m/s wont hit very hard, but a -15% speed will. (dont know the new percentage value)

set to "%", like they did now will do the trick, i dont see the point why they have it changed from the 2 year old 29% and now after this patch its 27.5%?!? as i can see in the eve item list it was 29,5% before
WHY it cant be just 29% (29,5%)?!?!? CCP?

Yes.
Ha. Ha. Ha. Ha.
I haven't even bought one yet.
I tried telling all the people I know who were buying them, but they were turning merchant's ears at me.
I shouted at them when they tried to whine afterwards.
Quit your *****ing, its 27.5% and 10% speed penalty and its staying there. ----------------

Becayse 29% superpasses the best named in a way mods don't usually do?
T2 is generally equal to best-named.
