got me a new comp, pre patch running 2 accounts no sweat worked like a charm, after the latest patch (the small one not revelation) when i boot up the 2nd account the screen goes into snailmode... unplayable.
It's also a core 2 duo (E6300)
tried setting both clients to a different cpu but that only had minor effect, more like snail with turbodrive on hehe
oh well, gonna wait and see if they gonna find a solution Resized tag... hope this pleases the tag ninjas from ccp :p

I, too, suffer from this problem, but I have found a fix. Took me long enough to find it. lol It's clearly something wrong with the coding of Revelations. This problem first surfaced on the test server no more than 2 weeks before Revelations released. I can fly around 0.0 all I want, but if I fly around in empire with any char or any account, I CTD left and right whenever comming out of warp at a gate or station.
The fix I found was deleting my cache/browser/Img folder AFTER logging in, when I'm at the character selection screen. Well, I don't exactly delete it, I cut it and place it on my desktop. I can play the game crash-free. But if I close the game and reopen it, I CTD before I get to the character selection screen. Before I login, I must replace that Img folder, login, then remove it again. It's a damn pain in the ass, but at lease I can play Eve again.

Well, the patch worked for about half a day for me. Now I'm stuck at the same point at a warp gate and none of the previous fixes work. Hooray for CTD before I even have a chance to get away from the gate...
And now I sometimes get them at the character selection screen too.
I hope I don't have to wait another week just so I can get half a days worth of playing in with the next fix.

Deleting the folder is sufficient for getting around the issue, no need for renaming or putting files elsewhere to clutter things up. Also, it seems that as long as it's after you start the Eve client up, deleting the folder works - doesn't necessarily have to be after login.

S!
I got the crashes to desktop, but that was fixed with help from here. Now EVE decides to reboot the computer after a few minutes in the game. Pretty frustrating, but at least it stays up long enough so I can switch a long skill on My system is an Intel Core2 based one and all drivers, BIOS etc. are latest certified ones with mostly default settings. -----------------------------------------------------

I had this happen to me for the first time at 2am this morning while warping to the Vylade gate, just as i was coming out of warp. Logged back on and it happened five times in all. After logging in again for the sixth time i was able to dock because previously i could not cancel the warp the ship would just head for the gate again and i'd CTD. I quit the game after docking and gave it 30 mins and logged in again, I undocked and warped to the gate. What was weird as i came out of warp i found myself floating in space in Vylade and hadn't jumped through the gate. Did a couple of test warps to gates after and all was ok.

I'm using Intel Core 2 6600 at 2.40 Ghz, 1.00 GB of Ram, on an ASUS mainboard (P5WDH Deluxe), Intel 975X chipset, with onboard audio (Realtek). VGA card is Nvidia based (Geforce 7800GTX)
Fixed the BSOD by disabling audio.

yupthey stil didnt fix it i petitioned it awhile back, seems like ccp aint looking at this page if you ask me.
deleting the Img file is stil the only way for me to not crash at a gate.
but they really need to fix this its abit annoying.

I'm still playing without sound myself, no more BSOD's.
I don't think the issue has gotten ANY attention from CCP so far, has it?
I must say that while i do think battles are not so bad at all with the sound turned off, i don't think this should be the permanent resolve to this problem.......

Dual core here also, Core 2 duo 6400, pair of 1 gig ram dual channel. GeForce 7600GT, Realtek on board sound. Haven't crashed on Jump gate, but did get my first reboot in combat.. This is a brand new comp, 3 day old. Hehe. Kind of noticed a lot of people having problem have the Realtek audio.

Edited by: Alex Marche on 11/01/2007 11:39:40 I had this problem a few time last week, I was getting BSOD when I was being targetted by NPC rats.
Ended up checking the dump log thats found in:
c:\windows\minidump\minidump.dmp
I had to use the Debugging Tools for Windows to look at the dump file.
Debugging Tools for Windows
The Debugging Tools, will look through the dump file, that was created when your machine BSOD'ed, and tell you what the problem was caused by.
My machine was crashing due to the Realtek Sound drivers, so I disabled sound within EVE and it has stopped any BSOD's I was having.
Thought I would tell you all my experiance with this. :)

CCP is saying the same thing (except that they are saying use the Task Manager to set to single core).
How can you set the process to single core when simply starting Eve causes the computer to crash.....there is never enough time to access Task Manager and the running processes to even see the Eve Process let alone change any settings for it? At the moment, its start client.....crash, full computer crash and restart...
This problem first appeared seriously in about February (I think it was when Vivox was turned on for corps and alliances to test it on Tranquility). Before that the brand new Laptop happily ran the game during December and January. Unable to solve the problems for the Laptop, a desktop has been filling the gap in the meantime......but its monitor has just died...

iŠve read through the whole thread and tried anything (but the dual-core-stuff, because i donŠt have one...but i tried to raise the process-priority...but that didnŠt help)
My game CTDs often...very often. IŠm just a trial user and play for around 4-5 days now...but i had already...40 CTDs? (maybe more...but for sure not less)...
I donŠt know, what to do...tried every solution posted here...deleted the img folder after logging in...copied the index.dat...disabled sound...played in window mode...lowered sound acceleration...even tried various drivers for my Grafics Card.. (with proper uninstalling of the old with driver cleaner...no pc-noob here ;) )...
My system specs are the following:
Athlon XP 3200+ 1024 MB DDR 400 Abit NF7-S 2.0 Nforce 2 Ultra 400 Board Ati 9800 with 128 MB VRAM...
Sound comes from the NVidia Soundstorm Onboard solution...
I run Windows XP Prof. SP 2 with latest patches and drivers... I decided to use the Catalyst 7.1 after testing, because it gave the best result in most apps (running 3D Studio Max so i have to be carefull wich driver to choose ;) )...
All tipps donŠt work for me... My client CTDs when warping...after warping...while in combat-missions...while looting wrecks after missions... But...and this ist the strangest part of it: It does not crash at Stargates very often...only sometimes... But warping is a no-go most of the time...

First off i would like to mention that, even though i would like do, i didn't read all 6 pages of this thread.
I am Running a 4600+ X2 Duel core and i haven't had any of these crashes on jumping but i have installed a patch from AMD, Duel core optimizer, from this link "Click Here" please let me know if this helps of not.
If it has been mentioned in this thread i am sorry. Also if you would like to go t the page to find the utility instead of just clicking on that link "click here"
This patch if for AMD only.
Hope it helps Tell me IÆm pretty |

itŠs me - again...
i worked my way through the logserver...tried something here...and something there...
did a search with google about 0xC0000005...here is what i got:
0xC0000005 means an Access-Violation...almost everytime i found a prog with 0xC0000005 error it was about access-violation...
So i fired up the logserver and searched the logs of the last 15 crashes...the last action before the statement "Crashed 0xC0000005, minidump being written in" is differs from case to case...sometims it is "Space::IndicateWarp" and sometimes itŠs "Calling <NO CONTEXT>::ScatterEvent_OnStateChange::seamlessmap""....but all actions do have something in common... they use the bin\blue.dll.... Now i donŠt understand, while warping - which utilizes the blue.dll - does work sometimes and sometimes not...it is at least a point to start from...one similarity of my problems ;)
I will test and try a bit more...but i do have one wish: Could someone with a working client, that does NOT have the CTD-problem, send me his blue.dll file (upload it on Rapidshare or send me a PM...i will give you my email...) Maybe this helps...if it would help, i could not explain why...but...who cares... if that doesnŠt help...letŠs see what else i can find :D
