SirMolle	Posted - 2003.11.15 20:18:00 - [1] Evolution Notification of Intention With immediate effect, the following points now apply. o) Evolution hereby withdraw ourselves from the FA membership and consider our membership terminated. o) All military, business, protection and other such relationships with the FA are deemed terminated. o) Evolution now considers all corporations within the FA as neutral parties. To pre-empt those asking "Why?". Because we want to and that is the only reason needed. The emperor, who was a devout Buddhist, invited a great Zen master to the Palace in order to ask him questions about Buddhism. "What is the highest truth of the holy Buddhist doctrine?" the emperor inquired. "Vast emptiness... and not a trace of holiness," the master replied. "If there is no holiness," the emperor said, "then who or what are you?" "I do not know," the master replied. In what seems like ages ago, a roving band of warriors came into Fountain driven by a need for rare minerals. They did not come in unopposed, Fountain rallied the largest fleet ever heard of at the time to oppose the invading forces. However, the battle was not joined: Fountain had been measured, and it passed. The opposing forces met and an agreement was outlined. What could possibly have been the biggest battle in Eve turned into the newest alliance in the outer regions: FA. This did not come without a price. Evolution, a band that had been accustomed to always acting alone, had to sacrifice independence and commit itself into assisting in defending the alliance from the looming pirate threats. We made Fountain's battles our own, their foes became our foes, their aspirations our aspirations. It was a transformation we had to make. One must adapt to the currents of the changing winds. Now we look back and see all that we have achieved so far and we are pleased. The Alliance has grown, the members have prospered. Fountain has defended itself from its foes and chased them across Eve as they fled. All threats have withered away such that the alliance is now occupied with external events. We have come to a point where we have realized that we are no longer needed in Fountain. It is time for us to reclaim the independence that we sacrificed. Henceforth, Evolution is no longer part of the Fountain Alliance. We leave without outstanding debts or responsibilities. We thank the Alliance for allowing us to meet and work with kindred spirits: individuals who have since joined our band. We are, at heart, wanderers, ones that can never be at peace for long by staying in one place. We return to what we were before the fateful encounter that gave birth to the Fountain Alliance. This is a transformation we choose to make. We adapt to the currents of the changing winds. Let it be known that any and all who enter where Evolution dwells dance with Death. Let it be known that the only boundaries Evolution recognizes are our own. Evolution has begun.
