Entering Game as KIAEddZ....
Just seem to be totally stuck there... doesnt matter what system I am in when logging in, it takes about 10 mins to clear that screen.
My bms have been deleted by the game, i dont have any anymore... anyone have any ideas why?
I have cleared my cache etc.

Same problem here ... At least I only appear in space after the "Entering Game as..." disappeared

Having same problem. Seems to be related to having a lot of bookmarks prior to the patch, even though they appear to be gone from ingame.
When you open pnp do you see nothing on any tabs?

I had 20k+ bm before patch, my friends/agent/places tabs are all empty, and I have no "add bookmark" button at the bottom of my places tab.
also, I am not seeing and sec ratings in local.
though, others that I had copied my entire set for report that there pnp works fine

I'm getting the same issue with this character and only this character. I've cleared my machonet a few times now and have used two different client installs to no avail. My other character however has no issues logging in.

I have the same problem
Got the standart answer from devs, "delete cache"
I know it isnt the cache, its the bookmarks i dont have but still have.
And as long as i have them but not having them i cant delete them cause i havent got them :)
And deleting the bookmarks IS the solution, but hey, GM cant deklete them cause they say it take as long for them as for us, but i cant delete them so wtf shall i do then?
In space i have no bm¦s what so ever, in ppl and places i dont have them either and cant make new ones.
My buddy list cant be opened either, cause i dont have it. But i still see when ppl login and off.
Right now im reinstalling eve, will update if i see any change.
Heard thet if u reinstal and then open ppl and places for a long time the bms will show up as before but ALL in same folder.
It takes about 1 second per bookmarks, so for me.... 3k seconds...

The GM¦s told me that it would take them ONE MONTH with server OFFLINE to delete all the bookmarks that got stuck in patch.
Some of my friends stil have their bookmarks and they have no problem opening the folders.
They even have the insta jump bookmarks left.
It looks like CCP screwed up when they deleted our insta jumps and now we cant play the game or login for between 10 to 40 minutes cause we get stuck in "entering game as"
They will NOT shutdown server for a month just to delete the stuck bookmarks, so i realy hope they get a better fix soon. Cause i will NOT start a new character cause of this ****up :)

I don't know if it's bms either. This character had bms that weren't deleted but my other character has just as many BMs and no problems. I do have issues when opening my P&P though, but it's more along the lines of my buddies aren't being displayed.

Got this from my petition (nothing new):
"At the moment, we cannot delete those bookmarks for you. We are working on some kind of a fix for this issue, but cannot currently give out any sort of ETA for that fix."
Hope it might get fixed on tuesday, it's really cutting into my gametime.

I feel the pain; now feel mine.
Two fresh installs, one of them on a clean drive. New cache & saved cache tried countless times; with various folders in cache being removed/replaced.
To no avail. After nearly 3 1/2 years CCP have finally dropped the ball. Never thought liked quitting before.
Warp to 0km, great, when I can get in after literally a 15 minute minumum wait. Exactly like the OP, no bloody make bm button - wheres my 3 1/2 years of saved safe spots gone you ******* nobs; exactly the same on my other account.
This is definately not a constructive post, but this should not have happened.

Having the same problem myself with 17k+ BMs. Once i get into the game and i try to goto people and place there is nothing there at all. My alt has some instas and his P&P is just fine. But my mains has nothing in it. Not in buddies,agents,corp members or blocked. Even the bookmark section is messed up.

Same problem, had loads of BMs before. Trouble is, although I can log in *eventually*, I don't have a "Add Bookmark" button in P+P (actually, under the places tab, it's totally empty). I have bug reported it, and I am downloading the full client to try a reinstall (have tried renaming the cache folder, see if a fresh cache folder would fix it- it didn't)

Devs have replied on a couple of threads in General Discussion. No known workaround and Kieron's feeling is that you deserve to be killed with fire for not deleting them like CCP apparently asked us to do in the patch notes.

I see. Killed by fire for not reading a line of text in a handfull of pages of text in one of multiple links in a news entry about a patch made 3 days before the patch. Maybe I shouldn't be trying to save CCP some workload and be reading the forums to try to solve my problems if that is the kind of attitude they have about me.
I can say with a plethora of certainty I now know why I am paid the rate I am to work on real large scale non-game clusters and am highly sought after in that task. I can only imagine the alternative attitudes and practices my competition must have.
I will go into work tommorrow and ***** a nice joke about how we should try rolling out a change with 3 days notice and go insult the users for not reading one line in a volume of sublinked text as they try to get the rest of their daily work done. I am sure we will roll it out as part of our Standard Operating Procedure policy.

I think CCP wanted you to delete them before the patch. This is what I did (6k or so instas) and I dont have any problems logging in. Takes about 10 seconds.

I have 2 characters, one had >10k bookmarks, the other one had less than 5k. The one with >10k instas could log in fine, and i deleted all his instas after patch.
Guess what, the one with fewer instas is stuck/cant see p&p :/

The 'patch notes argument' response:
It did not read in the Revelations patch notes - it was edited in there after the first publishing. I and others read the notes before the edit. And even then, what about players and accounts that were not active during that short period of time?
Given this issue was fully known to CCP already in SiSi before the TQ deployment, as it reproduced there the entire time, you'd think they had the "month needed" to fix it already.  |

It usually always takes me upto 10 minutes to log in the first time i log in after a reboot or somthing, just browse the web while you wait for it to log in, thats what i do, no biggy. 
EDIT: Its pretty much been like that for the whole three years ive been playing, even when i was on dial and switched to broadband, no change ive just gotten used to it

I'm experiencing the exact same problem. Its not the login delay that is the problem, its the login delay combined with the P&P window not working. If I only had to wait 10 minutes to login, but then could delete the offending BM's I would be running at 100% by now. As it stands I cannot fix this myself no matter how many times I reinstall/clear cache/rename the Img dir. The posted workaround doesn't work so I am stuck with 10 minute logins everytime and no ability to use any tab in my P&P window nor use any can/roid/ss BM until this is fixed. With no posted ETA on the fix, I don't know when I'll be able to play EVE again. It certainly doesn't look like it will be anytime soon.
Oh, and a single line:

Oh no, we were ment to delete our bms before the patch... crap, i cant log into EVE during the week as i dont have access to a pc to play EVE on, only at weekends so i didnt have a chance to delete mine

Got a reply that ppl said worked.
Rename your /program/ccp/browser/img folder to someting else, ing2 or something.
login to game, play.
Delete the folder when done and then rename it again when u want to play again..
This is the 5ths response i got, the first was delete cache.
second delete this
third, delete that
and so on.. u see the pattern?

IF that was so frikking important, why didnt we get a real message about it instead of som thread in a forum.

only ppl that HAS problem with this is the onec that had their bms deleted by the game, the onec that has ALL their bm+s left has no problems to login.
Anyway, i hope they fix this cause 10-20 minutes login is a bit long for me :)
ps. Great patch otherwise, i just love the new stuff /when i finaly get ingame and just hope that i wont crash :)

I really don't think our instas have been deleted. There were likely some database "tweaks" in code that have changed the way instas are synced with the local settings information and those with too many instas are timing out.
If this is anything near the truth, they should put a temporary limit on instas to say 1000 and their code can stop processing anything after that. This would allow us to login and see the first 1000 instas and we could start deleting them. It would obviously take a bunch of login cycles for us to get them all, but atleast we could do something about it instead of waiting for an eternity for a patch that will fix the issue.
Please CCP, give us something that works...

Both my chars with 15k bookmarks have 10+ min wait to get in.
Don't see crap in P&P.
I'd happily delete them now that the 0km feature is in.
But noooo. A known bug is keeping me from doing so, and making my login times sad.
CCP fix it.
I am a software developer, I know how stuff can get shoved under rug when you are in a deadline week. So just get it fixed already. Heck if it helps, wipe every bookmark I have, I'll make new ones of those I need to keep later.

Yep got same issues.
All my chars except my main instantly login
My main takes about 15-20 mins to login.
When i open my people and places the places tab is completely empty.
Now this is just a gues but i think its related :p.
CCP did something to people with a lotta bookmarks for punishment , 15 mins to login..

Have the same issues
1 account has problems with the P&P window and takes 10 minutes to login.
P&P window is empty. My other 2 accounts are running fine.
I can login 2 accounts on the same computer and only 1 account has the trouble and the other one is running fine. even switching the EVE program to login the other account does not solve it, seems the fault is in the character.
Even reinstall did not solves the problem, must be server side.
I'm hope CCP will not delete my bookmarks, I'll delete them myself when I can, because some bookmarks (safespots, tacticals) are only on this account not on the other ones.

...and some others didn't get the opportunity as they were busy in RL. And others still didn't truly believe Warp to Zero would happen, and having invested hundreds of millions in BMs, didn't want to end up with egg on their face.
In my case, I didn't play Eve much before the patch, so had no opportunity. Don't tar everyone with the same brush.
In the meantime, we can't make any safespots or new BMs as we don't have the Add Bookmark button.

I am having all the same symptoms. Sadly, the GM gripe about BM effects on database performance and their whiny attitude seems to have carried over into continuing to blame players for owning BMs. This is not the players fault. Apologise for failing to provide ADEQUATE WARNING, and then apologise for failing to take effective action to protect PAYING CUSTOMERS from known deficiencies in the Patch Deployment process.
Very few people get to read all the Patch Notes, As a single father of four children who also has a full time job, I certainly don't get a lot of time to browse.
Just fix the issues please. I just added someone to my address book, after taking 23 minutes to get into the game, and now the whole P&P folder cannot be opened... not our fault CCP.... it is your fault.

I have the same problems and only on this account. I cant see my bookmarks and all my buddy's. They are there cause i can see when they are log in. Even i cant make SS and now i cant find the POS too.
These are my problems:
 All my settings are changing every time i login (after 15 mins).
My pc disconnect many times when i click on a portrait or eve-mail, i cant rat in low sec anymore cause the risk of disconnecting is too big.
PnP doesnt work anymore, bookmarks are gone, cant make SS or new bookmarks to POS cause the ADD Bookmark button is gone too.
reinstall the game is not solving the problems.
If CCP doesnt fix this, im giving up my two chars cause this is not fun to play anymore!!

I also take 10-15 minutes to log in on my main account, I'll give it untill my next subscription date for it to be fixed if it's not improved at all by then I shall be canceling my account! I have never let my accounts expire in almost 3 years but this "bug" or whatever you want to call it is making EVE unplayable.

OK, they added new Ram-San, new blade servers and more internet connections yet I have been in a log in queue for over 15 minutes. I love this game, but the performance issues are slowly driving me away.
When I did get in yesterday, the lag was so bad that right clicking in space and choosing a station to dock in was difficult.
How much longer do we have to endure performance issues? It is soo laggy, I have given up for the time being on flying through gates or mining.

na does not matter what system they are in or what they do to they computer, some chars are just screwed of somthing that happened to people and places in kali. hopfully the patch on tue will fix it and not screw it up even more

Burn in Fire (think pope making that comment about the muslims)!!!??? I say we take him and leave him in a Populated Sector with a negative 9 sec rating so we can pod his *ss non-stop till the next major expansion. Or have him flown to each major city so we can all get in 1 good slap...
Something like this going into production untested (READ QA) with the devs relying on players to delete their own BM's when they may be away on vacation or otherwise is a blunder that should have those responsible losing a hell of alot of sleep till a work-around/fix is adopted.

Hi Serenity- no, it's nothing to do with where we are, it's to do with the fact that we didn't delete our BMs ourselves before the patch went in (for whatever reason). Symptoms are:
1. Major log in delay, stuck on "Entering game as" screen
2. P+P doesn't show anything, not even "Add Bookmark" button, which means we can't create any safespots. Dunno about everyone else, but this is a major problem for me
3. Not sure if this is related, but when I log off, all my settings are lost and everything resets.
I can get in fine with an alt that had no BMs before the patch.

Having the same problem. Takes me 20m to login, people and places are stuck. If i try to jump, it takes me one to two minutes to load and then i emergency warp. It's like this since the patch on two of my chars, completely unplayable.
Partly our fault, cause we haven't deleted the instas before patch.
But as far as i remember there was just a advice in the patch notes, saying it could take a long time to login the first time. I saw that and thought i can wait some time if it's once. No one said anything about having two chars stuck for a week.
And one question. I have no idea how the DB structure is setup and the indexes and relations... But how long can it take to delete entries in a database? Or dropping the whole "bookmarks" table and create a new one? Isn't the bookmark database on the RAMSAN?
And how hard can it be deleting instas related to a char on request?
Who will give me back this days that I'm stuck?

I have only just installed the game for the frst time and have exactly 1 bookmark in Jita and am encountering the same problem...

Yesterday i lost my Raven by a 10 mens gang, i couldnt jump to a SS cause CCP stole it and after several warps they found me-----> BOOM!!!
If i had my bookmarks i could jump to POS or SS!!
It isnt safe for anyone of us anymore.......

And me, my character is a day old and i have about 3 bookmarks.
As of this morning im just getting
"Entering game as Vukile", doesnt go any further than that.

I have 3 BM and have that problem every so now and then. For now i stop playing and hopefully i can loggin tomorrow. I can play and relog for hours and then all the sudden i am stuck at the loggin screen.....takes upto 20min + before i logged in, mostly i just stp and check a few hours later.

I've been #1 in Que... for the last 10mins... I'm like 10 jumps from Jita... why am I logging in .. CTD after warp gate..
And before you ask, i've followed all the directions given in the fourm ..

i cant logg on to one of my chars on the same accounts, i can logg on to the 2 other chars on the same account...
i am (like all are) paying for this game. i am loosing alot just becouse we dont get an answer.

Well, let's just see what tomorrow's patch does. If it doesn't fix it, we may need looking at on an individual basis which will be a pain in the neck for both us and the devs.
