For me I found 2 fittings that seem to work pretty damn good:
High Damage
4 x t2 neutron (void, null, antimatter) 1 x t2 electron 1 x small nos
MWD small cap booster (100 charges) web/scram (for solo fit scram of course)
t2 rep / corpum-a type repper (yeah expensive but its worth it! reason is in the rigs) RCU 400mm rolled tung plate DCU/EANM 2 x mag stab II
auxiliary nano pump anti-explosive pump
I get 11.7 dmg mod (only HAC lvl3 atm) with about 3sec ROF for the neutrons.
Medium Damage
5 x t2 ion 1 x med nos
MWD small cap booster web/scram
t2 / corpum repper RCU 400mm plate DCU exp hardener eanm
auxiliary nano pump anti-explosive pump
Dmg mod is 7.2 with my current skills. This fitting requires AWU 3!
Both fittings perform especially well against battleships and still good against well tanked battlecruisers like Drake (the pilot had good tanking/misile skills, so dont cry noob). I survived easily the MWD approach to a maelstrom that was 70km away. He was using exp missiles as well.
Weaknesses are cap but tell me one turret ship that does not suffer from that. If you see its role as a main damage dealer in a gang or even as a solo ganking ship for a maximum of 2 BS its a great ship! So stop whining and use it!
And then a brutix comes along and kills both those set ups for about 1/6th of the price

Please not always the same discussion. We all know HACs (EVERY HAC) is overpriced. All I'm saying is that people here tend to adapt the oppinions of others that were mostly based on pre-kali whinings. Statements like "Cant take damage", "Does everything worse than ship X" are wrong and do not refelct the current situation. And as with any ship/fitting there will always be a counter fitting/ship because thats the way the game works and its called "balance". My posted fittings do work but of course do not work in ANY situation. Ask an Eagle pilot how he performs in close range combat when he fitted rails. In turn, ask a deimos pilot how he performed when he was not able to web its faster target. I hope that make my point clear.
Still, Deimos is not as bad as most of you are saying.
BTW: I heard some "too expensive" stuff, yeah true all HACs are. But i think 140mil Deimos is still better than >200mil ishtar.

Dont buy hacs for a while.
I'm about a hair length short of being able to invent a t2 ship BPC from a t1 ship BPC so i'll soon find out if the runs you get out of it are relative to the runs of the orrigional t1 BPC.
If they are (and since you can reuse the interfaces which are the hardest to get) then i'd expect HAC prices too fall through the floor (because i WILL base my prices directly off the cost it takes to make however i will only sell 1 unit at a time over the forums through personal contracts to prevent people from reselling at the high price). Pirates and alts cannot buy them from me.
However i will NOT be inventing a demios, i will be inventing an Ishtar which outperforms the demios in every area.

Look man, im not really arsed about the cost. But when i come to fit my deimos, i just cant find a set up, where another ship wouldnt do the job better. Your set ups are just a way to lose money, cause trust me, they will die o so easily to most other HACs, BCs and BS.
The problem with the deimos is the fact that the game has been more orientated towards tanking now. Deimos is better for ganking. In PVP if a BS has a heavy nos or 2 the deimos is out of the equation. It wont be able fire its guns or tank. Its guns are very cap instensive. The fact is , as much as you want to find a use for the deimos, it just aint there. The only way i would fly a deimos now is as a rail platform in gangs, Its useless with blasters atm compared to other ships.

first of all why 2 small reppers? it's equal to 1 medium repper on hp/sec seems like a waste of slots to me, which i could very well use on other things in your case. I'm sure it's ok but you prolly have focused medium pulse fitted aswell and the dual small rep tank I really don't get...

I don't really do this but I am gona have to flame.
There are some shocking stupid/crap setups here for the deimos some people suggesting a 1600mm plate and light guns!!!!rolf
I am not supprised some people say a brutix tanks better than a Deimos with some of the comedy 1600mm plate!!! lol small rep lol!!! setups posted here. I was gona post my setup... (its pretty logical) but is clear people are brain dead these days and can only fit caladri ships. Erm I had a small fleet of tech 1 criusers engauge me and they could not belive I ripped them appart I am not supprised they think this now seeing some of the setups posted!!!! I murder cerberus' ******* murder them.
Here are some clues about gallante in general. Clue 1 : The differance between elctrons and Neutrons is 10% differance in damage with a 5% from either with ions. So with small exception for PvP... fit electron! Don't think of this as a trade down cause electrons track much better so you will problaby make that 10% up as you hit more after coming out of MWD. Don't think of it as a trade down from say a 250mm rail to a 150mm rail or a Megapule to say a dual heavy. Blasting works on falloff! optimal range is a meaningless number loading any other primary ammo other than a high damage short range one is also a meaningless idea. Falloff is what blaster need and its waht the deimos gives it extra.
Clue 2: Its really not ok to tank a deimos like some have suggested with just 1 ENAM 2 that is insane.
Trust me. Although CCP ignore broken ships at times for a while they eventually fix them. Trust me the Deimos is not perfect....but is is fixed. I can do some very naughty things in one.
I don't really want to correct some of the idiots here as this is good for my PvP outlook that these monkeys exsist. *****************************************

PS I still see people breaking there necks to fit ion over electrons or neutrons over ions with RCU's and PDU's I got news for you... the damage increase is better if you fit the lower tier weapon and fit a magstab! Am I the only one who experiments with the numbers when fitting these days? Only time RCU's can be used in PvP is on sniping non tanking setups or NOS setups where the ability to fit more nos is like a Nos-magstab:)
but again, a brutix a domi or a myrmidon will do the job better for cheaper. Seriously, atm the deimos is ****e, and i hate to admit it as it was my 2nd fav ship(enyo 1st )

1 Heavy NOS... my Deimos won't notice and if that's all the BS has, it will die.

This post almost makes me cry of relief, finally someone with a brain. This thread is meant for deimos setups, not about telling people to buy a brutix cause it can do everything so much better. If people want to buy a deimos for 140M it's their business, ok? Head over to the other BC threads and post your HAC-killer fittings there so we at least can see what we're up against!
I'm buying a deimos tomorrow and i'll go for electrons because of the tracking. Then i'll head to 0.0 and gank ratters until a vaga comes and pwns me, then i'll just buy another one!

Edited by: Ebodhisatva on 22/01/2007 11:53:51 edit: 22.01.2007 forgot to put in the rigs I blast my way thru level 4 missions with this setup:
5 x t2 heavy ion blasters 1 x medium named nos
1 x AB II 2 x Cap recharger II
1 x Corpum a-type repper 2 x Mag stab II 3 x rat spec hardeners
1 x cap recharger rig 1 x anti-thermic hardener
5 x rat specific drones
The only moment I have no mag stabs and might just warp out is when running a 'Pirate Slaughter' mission with explosion damage and that is the only mission I sometimes think - nah better warp out... the tank won't hold it because of lack of distance... (Forgetting to turn on the ab)
The repper runs 24/7 -1 for dt

1. Pray that CCP fixes the Deimos and keep it in your hangar till that happens. 2. Repackage, sell...and then buy 7-8 Brutix or 1.5 Astarte

Better train for amarr T2 and fit a Zealot with mwd, 1600mm, dual small rep tank and pulses. Gives 8k+ armor (with slave set over 10k), good resists, good dmg and 1650+ m/s.
I fly a zealot extensively and I'd love to know how you get 8k+ armor good damage and nice resists with what you named
Well i've never used a twin small rep tank on a hac and doubt i ever will but won't knock it as never tried it.
i use 800 plate and with my slave clone i get 7k armour and they're only lg slaves so 1600 plate 10k+ easy i would think and resists are pretty good on mine.
And the best deimos setup i can think of is a repackaged one in the hangar. i'm not selling mine in case they get boosted again in a decent way as i'd love to fly it well but not gonna use it until it gets up there with any of the HACS.

my current fit, does 650-700 dps somewhere with void and hammers but the cap is terribly fragile. feel somewhat suicidal flying it
