You can't host it on Chaos simply because its a test server, and a lot of the changes they do there are simply for testing and not what it would be in permanent gameplay.
Not only that, but the server bogs down with more than 15 people on, and as of late, 30-40 people logged on is more appropriate.
Skills are also out of date by about 1mil points, which could mean lots to some people who have increased their frigate combat effectiveness.
I also understand that many don't want to lose their clone and implants on Tranquility, like the m0o team. However, if Miso does things right, and puts up the appropriate punishments (punished by miso?  ), then people won't even think about it.
Overall I just think m0o hasn't bothered with their frigate skills, so them even coming out of this in the top 3 is highly unlikely.

Also, I'm not sure how you are gonna set it up, but you could make a corp strictly for the combatants to join so we can shoot the crap out of each other without fear of security rating. Therefore, we could do this in say Pator or Yulai and not have to worry about pirates.

Well, most pirates don't give two licks what anyone else thinks of them. They would attack the frigates because they can plain and simple. This would garuntee safety for all. I don't know about any one else, but I've got some implants in me head and don't want to lose them anytime soon.

Thanks for the response people.
Ive got a website sorted, thanks to Shintoko Akahoshi, and we have about 4 referees. I'd like a couple more but thanks to everyone who has volunteered to make this work.
Im not sure on team numbers yet, but I think its going to be nearer 20 than 10, which is excellent.
It looks like I'll split the teams into 2 divisions, with playoffs.
Should be fun.
Keep checking back to this thread for updates, people, and thanks again.

I would go for it Miso and get a team from Oracle but not if you are doing no EW.
Why are you making this rule ? EW is an integral part of combat in EVE and I dont understand why you make this decision ?
EW can be countered as can any other module. You are basically limiting peoples tactics so lock target and F1, F2 F3 , close eyes and pray for best
Regardless I hope it goes well and well done for doing this.
So HMV consider Andy Williams and Dean Martin to be "easy listening" do they? Tell that to my mate Dave, he's been deaf for 20 years.

Well, its for the same reason that we've banned any missiles bar rockets and lights - everyone will be in griffins or kestrels if we allowed heavy/criuse missiles and EW. The med slot frigates would rule. At least with this rule, we will get a variety of ships. I have extensively tested no-EW frigate fighting with corpmates and friends in Eve, and its a blast. It works, and EW will not be missed.
Please Oracle, rethink and submit a team

I personally have arranged one of these for our corp and although its been held up in actually occuring I had given it a lot of thought.
My rules stated no missles heavier than lights/defender/light fof to stop as you quite rightly point out folks using cruise missles.
I however said EW was a viable option. Its your idea so by all means use whatever rules you like and if you have tested it then cool. I personally think you are missing a tactical area of team work but hey ....
Where do I make my application ? Here or shall I contact you ingame ? (apologies Im in rush to leave work and see if patch arrived? so havent read the application details)
