Hi all,
Im looking to organise an Eve Team Frigate League where 5v5 teams of frigate pilots battle it out in a league based system. I am looking into the viability of the league and so I need responses posted on here.
For the league to work, I need at least 10 teams to commit to the league. If I don't get enough, then it won't run.
Basic outline of rules:
No podding
No EW
No missiles bar lights
No drones bar light drones
If I get a decent reponse and level of interest, I'll post the full rules. Their aren't that many actually.
There will be a prize fund also.

I also need people to referee the bouts. Volunteers please!

Dreamscape are up for this. I can't give you the names of the team members as this will decided by internal competition, so I can't even guarantee that I will be one  .
We are mostly European players with a healthy sprinkling of North American adddicts.

I'd love to attend but with the situation as it is in Curse/Stain right now I don't think I can attend any frigate tourney.
I would've been good too - got a 230.6 wrecking hit with my Rifter.

Well, I'll happily join an aussie team that wants me (no-one else in my corp is in my timezone)
Alternatively, I can ref a few matches for ya.
As for looting - let the ref (in a crs or bship)blow the looters ship up

oooh finnally a realistic sounding frigate tournament that wont be taken over by kestrals and vigils, i rekon i could drag out a few members of Enigma to go test out some toys that are sitting around

Great idea Miso
Have you considered doing this on that Chaotic Alternative Universe...
Pros
- Looting wont matter
- "Situation in Curse/Stain (insert whatever other names" wont matter
- Module/ship cost wont matter - might allow more crews to take part?
- Just about any Module/ships is available - thus making this all about skills/strategy and not about who is best at getting together rare modules etc. (again - might allow more to take part)
Cons
- Well... It wont be 'as real'...
But if its about showing who has the best skills - does it matter?
Anyhow - Just a suggestion.
Theres a chance a BIG team might show up no matter what.

What sort of safety thing would there be? Example: Your corp has me on its KOS list, would I be able to participate and not worry about you trying to kill me? Not in an official tournament fight that is, but you see me and are like "Must kill him!!" and I get shot up in my little rifter before I have a chance to do anything.

I think the idea behind this was to have friendly fights - i.e. no prior wars/enemies/prejudices were to be brought to the fight.

To register for the frigate league, please evemail me the following details:
Team Name:
Team Members Names:
Team Captain:
Timezone:
This open to all corps, and players are asked to leave any corp rivalries out of this tournament. If you're not capable of doing that, then don't bother applying.
Fixtures will be arranged ad hoc, at secret locations. The location will be mailed to the team captains only and the ref. There maybe an additional person present to video the bout.
Could anyone that has evemail me previously on this matter do so again as I have deleted all my evemails.
Also: Could potential referee candidates and sponsors also evemail me too.
