So far I am quite pleased with the experience I have had with my upgrades to Win10. Started with an older Win7 system as a guinea pig and worked my up to my other machines fully expecting something to go amiss as I went but so far it seems everything went smoothly. *knock on wood*

Running windows 10 on a spare hard drive with Eve works fine and ran fine with the beta win 10 as well

Windows 10 is now supported for use with Eve. Some Windows 10 users have reported an issue with unacceptably reduced frame rates when they run Eve from a non-administrator account. Running the Eve launcher as administrator should resolve this issue, if it should occur.

Same here, Windows 10 has been nothing but smooth for me so far. It's a top notch OS and is right up there with the quality of Windows 7 and Windows XP. It's a huge step up from how Windows 8 and 8.1 turned out. Don't be too afraid to make the switch though I do recommend installing it on a separate partition or on a computer that isn't important for you to get work done on just in case you don't like it or aren't able to be as productive with it at first. It certainly isn't perfect and it needs some updates to include some key features but I'd still say it's a pretty good upgrade from Windows 7. |

After the initial upgrade my R9 270X card was no longer detected. The PC hangs on "shutting down" and didn't shut down even when left for over 8 hrs and there were crashes.
The Win10 recovery feature could not fix issues so in the end I had to use the Reset to factory win10 option and whilst it has removed pretty much all my games and other programs its working pretty well. Except that after shutting down it mysteriously boots back up......
Seems smooth but has far to many compatibility issues to be an official release. I would advise people to wait a while until programs etc are properly compatible before doing the upgrade.

Upgraded the windows disk on my Mac Pro 12 core to Windows 10 Professional.
Upgrade went smoothly, no problems with it running in native EFI mode on the mac. I did need to reload the apple bootcamp hardware drivers after the update, and also had to reload the nvidia geforce driver.
Those of you that upgrade, and will NOT be backing out to your old windows, can use Disk Cleanup (type it into search) to remove all the junk upgrade files, including 18+ gig of the previous windows files. After cleanup, defrag C, and your golden.
So far, EVE works perfectly, I'm averaging 180-200 fps in station or undocked on high quality at 2560x1600 resolution. Not bad for an older GTX 680 2gig vid card.
Very happy with Windows 10 so far, hope everybody with older versions considers it, its a worthy upgrade!

Remember after the upgrade your video drivers will be disabled and running in default basic mode. You must download and install the newest win10 video card drivers from AMD or Nvidia after the update is finished.

Upgraded two nights ago from Win. 7
No probs with the install and is running smooth as silk. All my programs are good to go including EVE.
I'm really liking win. 10 so far. I'm really liking the app based UI but having the familiarity of the old UI makes things less agrivating.
Two thumbs up so far. |

Just got Windows 10 and tried EVE. Game seems to run fine, but the sound is incredibly quiet. Youtube videos have correct sound, have not tried any other games yet to see if those are quiet as well.
Also volume mixer shows EVE as being set to the same level as everything else.
[Edit] Tried Luftrausers on steam, and the sound worked normally for that. EVE is still very quiet. |

Eve works just fine under windows 10.
The upgrade process was relatively painless and the only 'technical' thing I needed to do was reinstall my video card drivers.
Aside from that it kept everything just the way it was on my win 7 and win 8 machines right down to the browser bookmarks and settings. |

It's exactly what i experienced, very poor fps if launcher is not run as administrator.
Eve is installed on a second partition.
Thank's for the tip :)

I decided to go for it, I had Windows 8.1 so it can't have been as bad.
Install went fine, everything works, no bugs or issues as of yet, I like the design, prob the best Windows upgrade I have performed.
I am actually pretty happy with Windows 10 :-) |

I would advice anyone not to adopt Windows 10 yet, mainly because of forced updates, but partly also because of privacy concerns. |

Great experience with windows 10. Eve runs without any problems. I am liking it much more than windows 8 and the ability to record in game with simple windows key and G is great :)

THANK YOU so much for the tip about running Eve as an administrator. After installing Windows 10, I was getting a frame rate of 1.8, yes 1.8. Completely unusable. I just ran the launcher as an administrator, and started the client. Now I'm getting a frame rate of 54!!!!
Thanks again!!!! |

After a couple of days with windows 10 and playing EVE, i want to say it feel smoother and it looks like objects load faster. Overall im having a great experience and my computer isnt the newest of sort.
Windows 10 seems to be able to squeeze more juice out of my PC then windows 7 could, and i can feel that in EVE. In fact ive felt it so much i havent played anything else since i formated the harddrive :P So cant really speak about other games, but ive seen lots of posts, on other forums, that claim the same as me.
