Edited by: Tsurako on 07/12/2006 19:22:23 Found this on Digg
Quote: This is why you don't try to price gouge people who work for you. A particularly ambitious EvE Online player who was dissatisfied with the upper management of his corporation stole around 17 billion ISK worth of assets from his in-game employers, probably worth around $12,000 USD!
Ignoring the fact that Digg were a decimal point out ( ), this sounds like an interesting tale. Can anyone confirm or deny it?

Aye, but if AAA can take advantage of it and put a dent into AXE... then this Corp theft would have had a real effect on balance of power. |

Edited by: Klagan Cornaels on 07/12/2006 20:20:50 The money wasnt the worst part.
SOLST was the production backbone of the AXE Alliance. By Crippling SOLST, he pretty much just doomed the alliance to death.
The corp has no bpos, no way to mine, no cash reserves, nothing. Its like taking out the bottom three floors of a eighty story building.
aAa and BoB immediately swarmed on SOLST terrority. SOLST had all of the Alliance POS fuel.
I think you can see where this is going.
This was probably the 2nd biggest scam besides the Bank when you consider the fallout and potential loss that these AXE corps are going to lose.

Classic!
I leave eve for a year+, and I see the same-ole, same-ole happens...
Sounds like the shyt that happpened to FA years ago, before POS's...
But let me get something straight?!
if they are putting a bounty on this guy ( only rumored, from the vine I hear there is one ), and they are out 25b isk. That equals How much?
Tactics: this could be a huge re positioning in controlled space, but I haven't seen much movement yet.
That is a Huge chunk of change for them to absorb. If they dont get hurt, and the isk flows like wine, perhaps he was right?

Awww now, you may have hurt us but there's no need to spread lies :)
Each of the axe corps have their own industry, especially the big players like EOG and DDC.
You actually didn't get all the bpos ;)
We had our own fuel, the rest of the alliance has there's.
Plenty of cash too, and to top if off, it meant nothing to the aaa war .. since the towers were onlined before aaa even noticed, despite your warning.
So in the grand scheme of things, a greedy person got away with a pretty big haul, however the corp goes on and it wasn't even a ripple in the river that is the alliance.

I wish it was me who had the 25b isk, but alas, I'm not that lucky.
However from the massive screenshots that have been posted around showing CEO/Director chats about how "We are totally ******" or "He got all the fuel" or my favorite, "I hope the server reverts". I highly doubt you guys would be going to such great lengths to make this seme like a minor incident if it really didn't bother the alliance.

Its not minor to us, but it is minor to the alliance. Why would you think we would hold the alliance fuels or materials? Don't you think that is kinda silly?

Well the thief certainly does raise an interesting point in his description (regardless of whether or not it's true).. If a corp is having miners slave away for them, shouldn't those miners get something in return?.. If a corp doesn't take care of it's employees can you really be shocked or surprised when they turn on you?..
