Indigo, I honestly believe you have no axe to grind, but just the same, I do think there are a lot of people in SPVD and the Foresaken Alliance that are dead set on "paying us back" for beating Ragnar and the NA.
There is a lot of hate amongst your allies. A lot of people with crazy feelings and bizarre thoughts. People that take things too personally and become very bitter.
Take the Rohann guy this afternoon in Foresaken channel ... he sounded about 10 years old, stamping his feet and almost bursting into tears at his inability to make adult conversation.
I think the game has become quite real for a lot of the foresaken players and they toss and turn in fevered dreams imagining the fall of the venal and the humiliation of Jade etc etc.
Its incredible really the amount of hate there is.
I don't even blow people's ships up!
And pretty much everyone I speak to in-game finds me polite and accomodating I think.
So what is this really about?
I mean, I have literally dozens of alt cowards stalking me (hello captain masochist) ...
I've got right wing loonies like Bill of B-ollocks talking nonsense.
I've got numpties like Tehel Necrona coming out of retirement (having given up the game apparently) simply to join the organised flame parade on corp forums.
All because of one simple fact.
You guys lost last time.
Mainly because Ragnar was a poor warleader leader, and TTI made unwise decisions.
He tried to bully me and small VA corps and it bit him in the ass.
All I see at the moment is an endless tide of revisionism trying to undo what happened.
You guys say you are bored of the game.
Well guess what? you are more or less continually listening to the same stuck record because you are continually refighting the old war.
And the way this refighting is happening is boring.
Because of game mechanics and glitches it frankly sucks.
Sure you guys only fight when you know you can win. It makes a lot of sense.
Just like it would make perfect sense for us to not fight you.
Because seriously?
What can you do?
Nothing.
You can't occupy stations,
You can't destroy corp assets,
You can't really interfere with corp moneymaking ... everyone has empire assets ... when there is a blockade or occupation we all go elsewhere to make ends meet.
If I was the uber dictator that asshats make me out to be I would have ordered NVA ships to not engage SPVD a week ago.
Why?
Because there is no point.
You have an endless supply of ships.
And you are good at bringing the odds into your favour.
But by us not fighting ... it doesn't gain you anything ... boring you to death is by far the best option.
The war is pretty much a farce
You know it, we know it.

just so you know, im the guy with the gang skills. i only have the two available on char creation, speed and shield cap. its 2% per level each, and both at 3. i must have had to explain it 20 times on ts this week. i wish i had the tracking and damage ones, but i dont  .

SI never lost any war before.....
This isn't a war now........
We are just beating the living crap out of someone who thought they could consider the viability of out memebership in a allaince a long time ago........ Once the allaince disbanded, we never really fought after that. So this is not some sort of way to get back at you for any war. Just simply you are close to where we were located one night and there was no traffic so we went down. Now we are ****ing all over you stupid allaince and you are all cring exploits and all this old crap. Make any excuse for it you want...... Today we dropped 6 battleships and many cruisers...... SUCK ON THAT ONE TIME

Its wonderfully enjoyable to post about achievements in Eve, victories and defeats, but good grace should come from both losers and winners. The problems with these forums is 99 percent of the people who post on here don't have the maturity to engage in adult conversation. The Gank CEO thread is a prime example of this. 200+ replies, 1 person actually understanding the original post.  I sat there after seeing all those replies and thought "what a bunch of *******s".
It would also help if, as DB pointed out, certain individuals actually bothered to read posts properly and not continually misconstrue them. Brains people, thats all I'm asking for. If you don't have them (which is clearly evident from some posts on these threads) then I apologise, and hope that one day in the future you will get some.
Follow the yellow brick road or something...

as for the gloating, there's not much I can do about it.
But it's not like we're the only corp that does it.
Should you ever kill a couple of our BS's, then I'm sure you would gloat too, and you'd have every right to.
As for keeping my members in line... No.
I don't run SI like a classroom. If someone has something on their mind, then they are free to say it. I don't insist that I proofread their posts, and I don't tell them *not* to post.

Drunken - I think things are getting out of hand and your unwillingness to curb the somewhat childish aspect of some of your corpmates is both disappointing and spineless. I do my utmost to try and make the people I play with understand that such behaviour is demeaming and lame. If your happy with that then fine, but I expected you to have more guts and brains. We all need to play within a set context and boundary, and I'm afraid the "we all do it" excuse is spineless *******s. Sort your own house out and you'll find that if everyone does that, alot of problems will disappear.
The real issue here, which no-one yet seems to be able to grasp (how surprising is that?), is not the fact the SI are freely killing NVA ships. Its all the bull**** that goes with it. Its the fact that things are accelerating out of context. Its the fact that player hatreds are starting to manifest in rather over-blown and worrying ways.
People, everyone needs to get a grip and calm down.
The amount of hatred directed towards people like Jade, is ridiculous, lame, pathetic and totally uncalled for. Ill say it again because I understand now that I need to penetrate some pretty thick skulls out there it seems, but ITS JUST A GAME
The issue here is lack of maturity. Clearly there is a great deal of immaturity in Eve. I don't know how this can be addressed, but it needs a firm hand. The people to administer this firm hand and to ensure that people do not take things out of context, are corp CEO's. But that doesn't seem to be happening.
DM, if you actually think that not imposing any control on corpmates is somehow good for the wider community of Eve, then you have less smarts than I previously gave you credit for.
To borrow a quote from Douglas Adams that I feel is appropriate here:

Ok, just for you:
There weren't 14 Battleships at tanks killing. There were about 6 or 7 ships, mostly cruisers, I was in a frigate. The rest of the fleet were camping gates.
The post was a joke, that sadly the Eve community didn't get. My bad for crediting people with intelligence they clearly didn't have. I won't be making that mistake again.
After we killed tank, we all sat around discussing what to do next. Someone said we should post it on the forums cos tank will definitely cry "exploit" or "bug". We decided it would be good for a laugh so we posted.
He cried bug.
We all laughed.
The eve community has **** for brains and didn't get it.
You still don't get it. You have **** for brains.
I have explained all this in previous posts but nobody reads them properly cos they have **** for brains.

Doesnt make sense, but then again you are in Jericho so that could be reqired from everyone in your corp

You are not your corporation.
The fact you personally annoy someone for whatever reasons to the point they drop the pleasantries when dealing with you, means just that. You annoy that person. Not the corporation you belong to.
(although lame personal behavior may affect how people think of the organization you are associated with. But that's secondary effect, and normally people have enough brains to keep these two separated)

there is no need for gloating about killing peeps, i didnt make a post about ganking narayan diesel the other day (blatant drop but its just an example). its a shame that some people feel the need to do this. it shows a proffesional person who will sit there and not start to brag about this and that "i am an uber pvper" "i ganked 17 peeps last night". war is a hell of a job, the real "soldiers" get on with it with as little fuss as possible.
for me peeps who dont say a word if i get ganked are worse that the ones who sit in local saying "another ship bites it" or "DIE N00BIE!!!" those who shout in local make me think "ok we have a realy mature one here"

As for gloating/reporting kills: Personally, I like it. When I was a 'good guy' I enjoyed coming on to the forum to read all the smack about alliance battles, RUS/Stain/FA/Curse/m0o/etc. kills and suchlike. It keeps people abreast of current affairs.
Do you think England isn't gloating about winning the Rugby World Cup?
Anyway, if you don't like them, then don't read them. And if you have already read them and don't like them, don't bump them.
I'm pretty sure that if the NVA knocked out 3 or 4 of our ships, they'd have something to say about it. And I won't hold it against them.

i do read em, i just dont comment, im not flaming, just making my feelings known. no offence is intended as with 90% of my posts as flame wars are not my forte as i prefer my arguments mano-a-mano, not typed in a forum, spoken debates are more ad-libbed and not quote this and that (i contradicted myself there )
