Space Invaders Press Release.
Just a few hours ago Space Invaders, Zombie inc and Valkyrie invaded the so called NVA claimed space and attacked a fortified position inside 6NJ8-V.
The fleet, comprised of 9 capital ships met surprisingly large resistance. It did not discourage the brave pilots from jumping into what seemed to be certain death. Scouts reported 4 Battleships and 7 Cruisers staging the drop in point in 6NJ8-V with numerous combat drones launched.
Once inside the system the invading fleet found themselves in the midst of the lions den. Ships sitting at least 50 kilometers from the fleet acted as ECM warfare ships and supposed to target jam incoming ships while gunboats sat a little closer to the Invaders.
These ships did not last long and were utterly blown away.
A brave Megathron class pilot of the NVA was to be the first Battleship casualty of this incursion. Receiving torpedo after torpedo into his ship, the massive hulk of armor soon gave way and revealed the pod which instantly got podded by numerous stray cruise missiles and torpedos.
Cruiser pilots fought as best as they could but were no match for the superiour skills and equipment that the fighting force brought with them. One by one they lost their life.
Next on the killing list was an electronic warfare battleship, Caldari Scorpion class. Although trying to speed his ship to safety a brave sole pilot from the ganking force MWD'd towards him, spitting out missiles and salvos as he did. The scorpion pilot did not last long after that and we cannot imagine what thoughts went through his mind as the ship crumbled and exploded. As before stray missiles made sure he did not live.
The status of the invading force was considerably good at this point, compared to the forces opposed and only 2 ships took armor damage. This did not stop them in destroing a Dominix battleship that had been left behind and stayed to fight. This trapped pilot met his maker in the end.
When the last weapon had discharged and the last NVA ship had warped out, the victorious fleet looted the remaining containers and drones.
Every pilot on both forces were civile on the local communication channel, until Trap from SPVD forces entered the system a short while after the fight. We apologize for the inconvenience it caused.
The NVA soon gathered around their main base inside 6NJ8-V with the remainder of their battered forces. The Invaders had gotten reinforcements and decided to meet them at the station. Once out of warp, NVA forces saw that they were clearly outnumbered and either docked at the station or warped away. 2 Caldari Blackbirds got killed in this run and one frigate.
Once the Invaders realised that they were dominating the system they turned their attention towards the neighboring system, Y - 4CFK.
Once inside the system, attention was turned on the single station there.
Awaiting at the station was a considerably large fleet but they had no chance against the oncoming armada. Dominix battleship downed along with 2 cruisers. Attempting to hug the station in order to get splash damage from the torpedos failed and it did not last long until the Dominix was destroyed and the station secure.
Uninterested and bored, the band of murderers and brigants leave the system and go to 6NJ8-V for some well earned rest.
We respect the courage the NVA pilots showed. I do not know how the morale in the NVA camp is now, but I believe it has to be at an all time low.
I will not post the names of the fighters and victims out of pure respect for them.
The totall losses tonight are staggering - 4 confirmed Battleship kills and at least 7 cruiser kills, probably some more as the containers at the first fight were 7 and alot more of them blew up. We will never really know how much damage we really caused.
Through superiour tactics and coordination we achived great victory and hopefully more is to come.

Cool, apparently you got a couple of Reikoku Cruisers from reading my logs.
Just keep blowing up my corp, they get bored senseless unless they are doing kamikaze manouvers

Was a very good fight on both side¦s, i know i had lots of fun.

... Just to clarify: "9 capital ships" as in, 9 battleships... or does the cruisers count as 'capital ships' as well? o.O;

yeah, we got utterly slaughtered
ah well, it was fun. nothing like suicidal odds to get the blood going... i wasn't doing too badly until i started to jam indigo sequi, then it looked like every si in space targeted me and blew me out of the sky 
good going guys, you dealt enough damage in about 5 seconds to put me in a pod. and your organisation was so far above the nva's that we pretty much deserved to be slaughtered... thanks for making my evening more interesting

Was fun, I lost a blackbird at the 6nj JIP and another at the station. Morale is good though. I mean I had a fun night and made about 1.5 mil profit from the insurance so it beat the hell out of mining. If you build blackbirds out of spare minerals you never care how many you lose.

Yeah, I'll give you that one.
Just as well somebody knows how many people die in these engagement, as when you're in the thick of it (or in my case, fast asleep  ) it gets hard to keep track of.

OMG i didnt talk any smack, i was just a little bitter i missed the initial fun and was hoping they would come back to play :)

Word I'll get on it right away Crice. I would love to hand over ammo built by our corp for the NVA's destruction to such an outstanding and I mean OUTSTANDING corp as Space Invaders.
