Space Invaders Press Release.
Just a few hours ago Space Invaders, Zombie inc and Valkyrie invaded the so called NVA claimed space and attacked a fortified position inside 6NJ8-V.
The fleet, comprised of 9 capital ships met surprisingly large resistance. It did not discourage the brave pilots from jumping into what seemed to be certain death. Scouts reported 4 Battleships and 7 Cruisers staging the drop in point in 6NJ8-V with numerous combat drones launched.
Once inside the system the invading fleet found themselves in the midst of the lions den. Ships sitting at least 50 kilometers from the fleet acted as ECM warfare ships and supposed to target jam incoming ships while gunboats sat a little closer to the Invaders.
These ships did not last long and were utterly blown away.
A brave Megathron class pilot of the NVA was to be the first Battleship casualty of this incursion. Receiving torpedo after torpedo into his ship, the massive hulk of armor soon gave way and revealed the pod which instantly got podded by numerous stray cruise missiles and torpedos.
Cruiser pilots fought as best as they could but were no match for the superiour skills and equipment that the fighting force brought with them. One by one they lost their life.
Next on the killing list was an electronic warfare battleship, Caldari Scorpion class. Although trying to speed his ship to safety a brave sole pilot from the ganking force MWD'd towards him, spitting out missiles and salvos as he did. The scorpion pilot did not last long after that and we cannot imagine what thoughts went through his mind as the ship crumbled and exploded. As before stray missiles made sure he did not live.
The status of the invading force was considerably good at this point, compared to the forces opposed and only 2 ships took armor damage. This did not stop them in destroing a Dominix battleship that had been left behind and stayed to fight. This trapped pilot met his maker in the end.
When the last weapon had discharged and the last NVA ship had warped out, the victorious fleet looted the remaining containers and drones.
Every pilot on both forces were civile on the local communication channel, until Trap from SPVD forces entered the system a short while after the fight. We apologize for the inconvenience it caused.
The NVA soon gathered around their main base inside 6NJ8-V with the remainder of their battered forces. The Invaders had gotten reinforcements and decided to meet them at the station. Once out of warp, NVA forces saw that they were clearly outnumbered and either docked at the station or warped away. 2 Caldari Blackbirds got killed in this run and one frigate.
Once the Invaders realised that they were dominating the system they turned their attention towards the neighboring system, Y - 4CFK.
Once inside the system, attention was turned on the single station there.
Awaiting at the station was a considerably large fleet but they had no chance against the oncoming armada. Dominix battleship downed along with 2 cruisers. Attempting to hug the station in order to get splash damage from the torpedos failed and it did not last long until the Dominix was destroyed and the station secure.
Uninterested and bored, the band of murderers and brigants leave the system and go to 6NJ8-V for some well earned rest.
We respect the courage the NVA pilots showed. I do not know how the morale in the NVA camp is now, but I believe it has to be at an all time low.
I will not post the names of the fighters and victims out of pure respect for them.
The totall losses tonight are staggering - 4 confirmed Battleship kills and at least 7 cruiser kills, probably some more as the containers at the first fight were 7 and alot more of them blew up. We will never really know how much damage we really caused.
Through superiour tactics and coordination we achived great victory and hopefully more is to come.

... Just to clarify: "9 capital ships" as in, 9 battleships... or does the cruisers count as 'capital ships' as well? o.O;

yeah, we got utterly slaughtered
ah well, it was fun. nothing like suicidal odds to get the blood going... i wasn't doing too badly until i started to jam indigo sequi, then it looked like every si in space targeted me and blew me out of the sky 
good going guys, you dealt enough damage in about 5 seconds to put me in a pod. and your organisation was so far above the nva's that we pretty much deserved to be slaughtered... thanks for making my evening more interesting

Was fun, I lost a blackbird at the 6nj JIP and another at the station. Morale is good though. I mean I had a fun night and made about 1.5 mil profit from the insurance so it beat the hell out of mining. If you build blackbirds out of spare minerals you never care how many you lose.

Just as well somebody knows how many people die in these engagement, as when you're in the thick of it (or in my case, fast asleep  ) it gets hard to keep track of.

For the record, I have since been given a more accurate assessment of the NVA fleet numbers in battle with the SPVD invaders last night and given that we were actually outgunned by battleships my question to Mastema was based on incorrect understanding of the situation.
I believe NVA pilots were rattled and seeing "exploits" where there were none.
I apologise for even suggesting this might have been the case in a private conversation with Mastema.
My own preference was that this question should have remained entirely private.
As you can see from the chatlog, my only intention was to settle my own mind so I could advise the NVA pilots to settle down and cease unhelpful speculation.

Its obvious in retrospect m'dear, ... but last night when i logged on to update skills it was all "OMG OMG Space Invaders have hired the martian tripods to attack Venal with "UBER HEATRAYS OF DEATH" -
Before I spoke with Mastema I had been given the impression we had lost like 20 battleships to no reply against a fleet half that number.
In the cool light of day it turns out we were actually outgunned, so the result isn't really much of a surprise.
But since I acted on flawed information in establishing coms with Mastema I did owe you guys an apology.

But on a little more serious notes I think the skirmishes on the past days have cost the NVA a disastrous amount of money. The day before the assault you lost 3 scorpions. And before that alot of money in industrial ships we ganked and more battleships. I've totally lost count of how many ships we've gotten but I have a question for the NVA now.
How's your wallet feeling?

The NVA war against Biomass has not gone well in terms of fleet losses. We have taken a hellova lot of casaulties ... but guess what? We are still playing and still fighting and we haven't yet descended to stabbing each other in the back and stealing the family silver.
And in my book, loyalty and courage in adversity is something too be proud of.
Of course a reptilian parasite like yourself has very different values ... I imagine if it doesn't involve petty treachery and dirty money very little makes you proud.
And a last note,
We have done badly in fleet battles but we have more or less owned you consistantly m'dear.
I guess that makes you worse than crap.
Who would have thought it?

This is Rohann reporting live from FREAKING WORK as to tell yet another story of thread hijacking by the one and only Jade Cu.ntstantine. Yet again she has proved to be the biggest hypocrite the game has yet to see. She can flame on the boards but not go down in flames in her ship in the game.
What is more pathetic? Every time Venal gets raided Jade logs off.....Am I the only one to notice this? Well maybe the NVA should take that into mind when they choose their "PR" personality......
I would rather have Agent Sheild as my "PR" person miss Jade....atleast he has more guts than you and actually backs up his w0rds in the game rather than only on the forums. Soooooooooo M'dear I really hope you are hanging around tonite I CANT WAIT TO F'NG DANCE!!!!!!

Yes it was a good fight. I believe i was the only person in a Dominix Battleship at the warp out point. I was able to put major hurt on another battleship before i was jammed and fired upon. I did however, escape with 14% armor left. (good thing i packed 2 warp stablizers)

I nkow a person who wanted to explore venal but didn't want to go all the way up there in his ship, so he made an alt. He's flying around nia noob ship and ends up getting chased by several NVA members 1 in a BS and 1 in a BB for sure that we can verify because they actually met up with him at a gate and were still unable to catch the stock noob ship...
Nizzin was in the BS and BEGGED for him to stop so he could just shoot him and be done with it so that he didn't have to keep chasing the noob around...
as pathetic as it sounds it's true... i lost a lot of respect for NVA that day.
the only reason the noob ship was caught was because he went back to where they were stationed and self destructed, and then they podded him (he wanted a quick trip back home anyways

Just for the NVA folks...
When SI and Biomass were at war, I got podded at a jump point by most of SI. I swore revenge and all that carebear stuff.
Well, since the time that we have kissed and made up, I've gotten a chance to see SI fight up close on personal, this time on their side. And I am happy to know that I am on their side now.
Don't scream about exploits, they aren't using any (neither is BioMass, btw). It's all about teamwork. SI are probably the most efficient team in the game right now. Their kill ratio confirms this. When you keep a corp small, tight, and elite, you can do amazing things.
So, kudos again to the peeps in SI, Valk, and Zombie. While Biomass reorganizes, we need you to keep the NVA in line

There have been some good fights i took 14% armor damage today ......... we would have sunken your Battleship (Raven From KIA) but 3x of our ships got stuck at JIP ......... However we still romped on 3x cruisers and the Raven warped out when he realized his certain death.......... At least KIA has the guts to fight......... Cough cough Jericho Cough Cough

Alas im not sure if its the whole of eve, but 6NJ8 seems to be broken :( so there woont be any more fighting tonight I dont think.
Examples : "We have a few bs at the jumpin - triniton" so i jumpin and the guys in the system warp to triniton, now when i got there it was all good, however im not sure if we were fighting on the border of a grid or something? but the guys that had warped in couldnt see us and we couldnt see them, leaving it to a 2 vs 2 bs fight (which we still won - no losses either side)
I think (not sure) about 3/4 members of our got STUCK jumping into 6nj8 earlier today.
And just now, to end a dodgy night of eve for me, both me and trap were summoned from playing FFXI to help out with an NVA force that had built up, alas he "White screened" and all I got was "Loading Sub-Space Frequency...."
Sux, CCP need to updgrade their servers or summint.

Sadly though it just empahsises to me some facts of combat and defense at the moment. Organised pirates like SPVD (with team speak) are always going to have the drop on a defended position.
1. Because the defenders dont know when your coming so are not prepared to the same degree
2. The defenders are not using teamspeak
3. The defenders are from varying corps and therefore generally not used to fighting with each other and taking target leads etc. This normally leads to less concentrated fire per ship and more of a general attack all then flee mellee type scenario on the part of the defenders. As opposed to the precision targeting of the attackers. Of course these factors at the moment give the attackers like SPVD etc great advantage which they use to the hilt (tips his hat)
As a solution to point 2 My company is prepared to support the monthly rental of a teamspeak server for the NVA :) Perhaps Jade would like to mail me with details of the NVA`s prefered service and I can set it up. I did find this one (looks ok) but am not sure if its the best. This way battle leaders can better communicate with the defending force.
I guess about a 40 player server would suffice?

ROFL Oh I know that all to well from my Clan quake days and GR lol.
It is however the way to go if you want to be more effective in battle. It does also come down to actually knowing what your doing and why :) It amazes me when I hear players consider PvP to be point and click combat ha ha A lot of my PvP is spent with pen paper and a smoke :) I know you spend a lot of time on tactics etc etc as do we.
I was chatting with io and I came to the conclusion that I have that many options my head hurts sometimes.
1. A loadout if I know whom im hunting (what ship or ships) I even have one called Lianhaun rofl
2. A loadout for taking on two battleships at a jip (1 scorp and 1 raven) :) much testing it works nicely..
3. A loadout for Empire space gates (my "im so ****ed at getting pwned by gate guns" loadout)
4. A loudout for Close combat (less than 3km)
5. A loudout for 20km combat
6. A loudout in case I dont have a loudout ha ha
I think a large percentage of PvP players do not perform much if any testing and experimenting with differing loudouts for their ships. Not forgetting matching their skills to the ship they are flying. This is why ive always enjoyed hunting you as I know (as do the other cult members) that we will get a good battle :)
The only thing that limits us is our small corp size, as superior pure firepower does play an important part (depending who your fighting) of course..

To the Alt! I never consider anyone who has command of the game to be Losers as you so eloquently put it :) Indeed by the very nature of games they are actually winners!

Speaking of set-ups, I didn't want to mention this as NVA are already suffering :\ (sorry) but ive been pressured into..
After the jumpin fight, we began looting the can of destroyed ships, as you do however we found something rather disturbing in one of the cans and i think Leitari got a screenshot of it.
Thats right, I can confirm that in one of the cans we found a CIVILION SHIELD BOOSTER (I **** you not).

Mastema it wasnt a 2vs2 from our pov, first we only saw triniton, but then after a bit 3 more appeerd, i saw 4 of you guys in me threat window at wich point we dicided to warp out, 2(BS) of us vs you 4, doesnt take a rocket scien**** to figure out how that ends .
About the loot you got i am sure you will use it sirious, its probably from one of the frigates you shot down, but still with a alliance you have a mix of players wich includes new players as well. its very differnd then in a corp like yours.
Archain , exelent vid again, you clearly out gunned us there, any way this is what eve is about, to bad some always act like 13 old priks
Oh and crise corp stop shoting of ya big mouth and hitching a ride on SI backs.

Sadly though it just empahsises to me some facts of combat and defense at the moment. Organised pirates like SPVD (with team speak) are always going to have the drop on a defended position.
1. Because the defenders dont know when your coming so are not prepared to the same degree
2. The defenders are not using teamspeak
3. The defenders are from varying corps and therefore generally not used to fighting with each other and taking target leads etc. This normally leads to less concentrated fire per ship and more of a general attack all then flee mellee type scenario on the part of the defenders. As opposed to the precision targeting of the attackers. Of course these factors at the moment give the attackers like SPVD etc great advantage which they use to the hilt (tips his hat)
As a solution to point 2 My company is prepared to support the monthly rental of a teamspeak server for the NVA :) Perhaps Jade would like to mail me with details of the NVA`s prefered service and I can set it up. I did find this one (looks ok) but am not sure if its the best. This way battle leaders can better communicate with the defending force.
I guess about a 40 player server would suffice?

Quite aside from the flame fest of this thread, I have to agree 100%. Venal generally is highly "broken". The ammount of lag I get for simple in-station tasks is stupid, and bears no resemblance to spots/regions I've visited in other areas this week. We had a system "stuck" in Venal last week-end, with only maybe 20 people in local (ie. the whole "its the highway that's the problem" excuse doesn't work)
Nice that one of the more interesting areas in the game right now can't be played properly :(

We had a few good skirmishes outside the station in 6nj this afternoon :)
0 losses on either side however the NVA were forced to retreat in every attack we made upon the station...which seemed odd.
However we did have a rather funny event involving a RONA corp member asking for an NVA member (in local chat) to come pick his cargo up, as he had just lost a cruiser to npcs. We found the guy in a pod, at a belt, using the scanner, so sent 4 bs to deal with the sole pod... lol he died :/ and we got some free loot :)

Nice going on picking those skills at char generation time, but CCP need a kick up the arse for changing the skills and not detailing it anywhere. However now that they have "moved the goalposts" I'd hope you would agree these skills should now be released onto the market?

Kiana'tre, Agrizla wasn't calling it an exploit in the game sense. He was congratulating SPVD on another nice tactical manovuer. Re-read what he wrote.
If English isn't your native language (and I know it isn't for everyone in the game) then get one of the other spvd guys to explain the exact meaning of exploit outside of the eve sense of the word.

It was clear enough for me first time, agrizla. But like I said, 'exploit' is a dirty word around here. I didn't want people getting the wrong end of the stick. (which is also a national pastime around here).
As for the skills, no I didn't know. And to be honest, if it is just 6% extra shield for the team, I can't see how it would really help, as 6% extra shields is nothing. And even on a scorp, that works out to about 240HP more shield. *any* BS gun will take 240 shield with a single shot.
The only person from our 'fleet' that I know that has this skill isn't even in SI. If one of our members also has it, then he's not online now. I asked the guys tonight, and they don't know who.
What's most impressive is that you are aware of it. And I'm not accusing you of spying, because spying will not give you that info anyway.
I'm gonna check these skills tomorrow on a fresh alt, see what they do.

The fully functional gang skills came as a total surprise to me, and I must say, I really hope CCP to put them in the game as buyable skills as soon as possible. Its not reasonable that only on creation skills are haveing a significant outcome in important battles really.
Congratulations are of course in order for Space Invaders discovering a game technique to deliver them a decisive advantage in battle.
You guys are certainly sharp!

Um. Flamefest about tactics/ "[dirtyword]exploits[/dirtyword] aside, thanks SI for wasting several hours of my life tonight. If all we are going to do is take turns docking/logging/safe-pointing based on who has best numbers then this war is going to be more of a snooze than anything else. Good thing most of us have or are developing mission alts so we can do something while you lot ****/troll/flame.
Respect to Rual who keeps himself busy and amused raiding you guys at the times when you actually bother to log more than that one spy who keeps your TS updated. Sad I think that you guys didn't come that once or twice tonight when we had equal numbers and a fair few of them BSes. That could have been fun.
Respect to SI for being the best co-ordinated, organized, disciplined and patient rats in the game. We learn something new every day.

Yes, 240 more hp on one ship justifies the 25vs9 odds. Clearly a decisive advantage. I dont know how the NVA ever thought they had any chance to fight against us. the horror. the horror *yawn*

You've got to be frigging kidding me right? We sat there in your system waiting for any action for hours. Every time local grew a bit again we were like, "Ooh they might finally be coming to fight now guys! Woohoo!", but it just didn't happen. Local grew to freaking 35 and still nothing happened aside from rual and his blackbird jockeys harassing us from a 120km distance, so we decided to just log and see what would happen later on.
Yes! Lo and behold, a few of us log in and we actually see some battleships orbiting the station. We are scrambling to get into the game, but by the time we get our squad on theres only a measily 2 battleships left that warp out the second we enter their sights (understandable).
And no, we aren't going to fight you if you bring like 25 battleships (which happened like the night before yesterday or so - amazing feat though), that's a bit silly as you'll understand. But if you want to fight a 10 on 10 or something like along thse numbers, we're game, we're always game....most of the time you can just warp to the station if you want to fight and we'll see

Jericho's role in the New Venal Alliance is as a MLC* corp Indigo. We fulfil a vital logistical need that allows our comrades to get on with trying to build something in the environment of eve.
While MLC duties take up a fair bit of our time, we do manage to squeeze in a fair bit of fighting ironically, and we have had some pretty active corp members these past couple of weeks.
But you will appreciate fighting the Space Invaders is very dull. There are literally 2 states to engagement.
1. We have the advantage and coordination = you log off.
2. We are in a pathetic muddle = you "own" us and gloat about it on the forums.
But at the end of the day, Jericho is a smallish trading corp. We can't stand against pirate alliances and megacorps on our own.
And while we appreciate that you guys are still following the deadman's orders (ie ragnar's dictate) to the letter, you must understand we are not that eager to die for your pleasure.
So, I hope this explains matters.
And yes, I suck at PvP .... I am utterly crap.
Today I got reduced to a pod 3 times before I even got near a battle.
I am so embarrassed, maybe I should shoot myself?
Or maybe not.

Warping to you lot is one of the things that we would not be smart to do, given some broken aspects of the new patch. Apparently our last gang warp to you left us coming out 1 at a time (not much of a gang warp) so we were easy to pick off, one of those massive ship losses trumpeted here.
A LOT of people have noticed over the last few weeks of fighting Biomass and now yourselves that you guys rarely if ever attack unless you are pretty much sure of success. The game still gives a tie to the guy who is defending (although first it goes to the most organzed and together unit, which you lot are good at proving). Don't expect us to continue to do things that you lot are too smart to do.

The problem for you guys is Jade, that there has been only one time in the past week that you have had a clear upper advantage and that wasn't just "an advantage", it was 12 battleships more than we had. We might know our stuff, but those odds are not worth it, we're still pirates y'know
And regarding Ragnar, I honestly couldn't care less about him. Like I said, we were just looking for a fight and Venal was conveniently close, we're not revenging TTI or something *** like that.
Kick us out or bore us out, we will be gone probably sooner than later.

If we're sitting there with 10 and you guys have roughly the same, it's very hard for us to know that. Scanning and stuff works ok most of the time, but when local is at like 30, we can't be sure what kind of surprises are going to be undocking on top of us midfight.

Indigo, I honestly believe you have no axe to grind, but just the same, I do think there are a lot of people in SPVD and the Foresaken Alliance that are dead set on "paying us back" for beating Ragnar and the NA.
There is a lot of hate amongst your allies. A lot of people with crazy feelings and bizarre thoughts. People that take things too personally and become very bitter.
Take the Rohann guy this afternoon in Foresaken channel ... he sounded about 10 years old, stamping his feet and almost bursting into tears at his inability to make adult conversation.
I think the game has become quite real for a lot of the foresaken players and they toss and turn in fevered dreams imagining the fall of the venal and the humiliation of Jade etc etc.
Its incredible really the amount of hate there is.
I don't even blow people's ships up!
And pretty much everyone I speak to in-game finds me polite and accomodating I think.
So what is this really about?
I mean, I have literally dozens of alt cowards stalking me (hello captain masochist) ...
I've got right wing loonies like Bill of B-ollocks talking nonsense.
I've got numpties like Tehel Necrona coming out of retirement (having given up the game apparently) simply to join the organised flame parade on corp forums.
All because of one simple fact.
You guys lost last time.
Mainly because Ragnar was a poor warleader leader, and TTI made unwise decisions.
He tried to bully me and small VA corps and it bit him in the ass.
All I see at the moment is an endless tide of revisionism trying to undo what happened.
You guys say you are bored of the game.
Well guess what? you are more or less continually listening to the same stuck record because you are continually refighting the old war.
And the way this refighting is happening is boring.
Because of game mechanics and glitches it frankly sucks.
Sure you guys only fight when you know you can win. It makes a lot of sense.
Just like it would make perfect sense for us to not fight you.
Because seriously?
What can you do?
Nothing.
You can't occupy stations,
You can't destroy corp assets,
You can't really interfere with corp moneymaking ... everyone has empire assets ... when there is a blockade or occupation we all go elsewhere to make ends meet.
If I was the uber dictator that asshats make me out to be I would have ordered NVA ships to not engage SPVD a week ago.
Why?
Because there is no point.
You have an endless supply of ships.
And you are good at bringing the odds into your favour.
But by us not fighting ... it doesn't gain you anything ... boring you to death is by far the best option.
The war is pretty much a farce

Its wonderfully enjoyable to post about achievements in Eve, victories and defeats, but good grace should come from both losers and winners. The problems with these forums is 99 percent of the people who post on here don't have the maturity to engage in adult conversation. The Gank CEO thread is a prime example of this. 200+ replies, 1 person actually understanding the original post. I sat there after seeing all those replies and thought "what a bunch of *******s".
It would also help if, as DB pointed out, certain individuals actually bothered to read posts properly and not continually misconstrue them. Brains people, thats all I'm asking for. If you don't have them (which is clearly evident from some posts on these threads) then I apologise, and hope that one day in the future you will get some.

The issue here is lack of maturity. Clearly there is a great deal of immaturity in Eve. I don't know how this can be addressed, but it needs a firm hand. The people to administer this firm hand and to ensure that people do not take things out of context, are corp CEO's. But that doesn't seem to be happening.
DM, if you actually think that not imposing any control on corpmates is somehow good for the wider community of Eve, then you have less smarts than I previously gave you credit for.

There weren't 14 Battleships at tanks killing. There were about 6 or 7 ships, mostly cruisers, I was in a frigate. The rest of the fleet were camping gates.
The post was a joke, that sadly the Eve community didn't get. My bad for crediting people with intelligence they clearly didn't have. I won't be making that mistake again.
After we killed tank, we all sat around discussing what to do next. Someone said we should post it on the forums cos tank will definitely cry "exploit" or "bug". We decided it would be good for a laugh so we posted.

Doesnt make sense, but then again you are in Jericho so that could be reqired from everyone in your corp
And it was a simple question and yet you could not give a straight answer.

You are not your corporation.
The fact you personally annoy someone for whatever reasons to the point they drop the pleasantries when dealing with you, means just that. You annoy that person. Not the corporation you belong to.
(although lame personal behavior may affect how people think of the organization you are associated with. But that's secondary effect, and normally people have enough brains to keep these two separated)

If that floats your boat, fine, so be it.
But don't try to impose your morals/ethics/principles on me, or my team.
SI/SPVD have ONE rule. The guys know what it is, and they abide by it. Anything else is fair game. Even if that includes winding people up on the forums.

there is no need for gloating about killing peeps, i didnt make a post about ganking narayan diesel the other day (blatant drop but its just an example). its a shame that some people feel the need to do this. it shows a proffesional person who will sit there and not start to brag about this and that "i am an uber pvper" "i ganked 17 peeps last night". war is a hell of a job, the real "soldiers" get on with it with as little fuss as possible.
for me peeps who dont say a word if i get ganked are worse that the ones who sit in local saying "another ship bites it" or "DIE N00BIE!!!" those who shout in local make me think "ok we have a realy mature one here"

As for gloating/reporting kills: Personally, I like it. When I was a 'good guy' I enjoyed coming on to the forum to read all the smack about alliance battles, RUS/Stain/FA/Curse/m0o/etc. kills and suchlike. It keeps people abreast of current affairs.
Do you think England isn't gloating about winning the Rugby World Cup?
Anyway, if you don't like them, then don't read them. And if you have already read them and don't like them, don't bump them.
I'm pretty sure that if the NVA knocked out 3 or 4 of our ships, they'd have something to say about it. And I won't hold it against them.

i do read em, i just dont comment, im not flaming, just making my feelings known. no offence is intended as with 90% of my posts as flame wars are not my forte as i prefer my arguments mano-a-mano, not typed in a forum, spoken debates are more ad-libbed and not quote this and that (i contradicted myself there )

I mean, I have literally dozens of alt cowards stalking me (hello captain masochist) ...
I've got right wing loonies like Bill of B-ollocks talking nonsense.
I've got numpties like Tehel Necrona coming out of retirement (having given up the game apparently) simply to join the organised flame parade on corp forums.
All because of one simple fact.
You guys lost last time.
Mainly because Ragnar was a poor warleader leader, and TTI made unwise decisions.
He tried to bully me and small VA corps and it bit him in the ass.
All I see at the moment is an endless tide of revisionism trying to undo what happened.
You guys say you are bored of the game.
Well guess what? you are more or less continually listening to the same stuck record because you are continually refighting the old war.
And the way this refighting is happening is boring.
Because of game mechanics and glitches it frankly sucks.
Sure you guys only fight when you know you can win. It makes a lot of sense.
Just like it would make perfect sense for us to not fight you.
Because seriously?
What can you do?
Nothing.
You can't occupy stations,
You can't destroy corp assets,
You can't really interfere with corp moneymaking ... everyone has empire assets ... when there is a blockade or occupation we all go elsewhere to make ends meet.
If I was the uber dictator that asshats make me out to be I would have ordered NVA ships to not engage SPVD a week ago.
Why?
Because there is no point.
You have an endless supply of ships.
And you are good at bringing the odds into your favour.
But by us not fighting ... it doesn't gain you anything ... boring you to death is by far the best option.
The war is pretty much a farce
You know it, we know it.
Ragnar who? If we hate anything...it's you.
You are fighting a 'war' with us. We are just having fun at your expense.
In this game there is no capture the flag or anything like that, but if there was we would have more flags than you.
None of us really care about Venal Jade. It has to be the worst real estate in Eve right now. It was decent real estate before TTI etc. Now Venal is just burnt out. So...
...we didn't lose the last war. All of us just didn't care to fight for Venal anymore simply because there is nothing to fight for.
Jade don't play the victim. You have asked for all this attention including these recent conflicts. You NVA beat your chest, put us on your all-mighty KOS lists, and said "DON'T COME HERE---THIS IS AN AREA OF SPACE YOU SHOULDN'T EVEN THINK OF BEING IN! THIS IS NVA SPACE NOW! DON'T COME HERE. YOU GOT IT?" Of course it was in triplicate and flowery Jade prose.
Well we couldn't have that now could we? Especially after you guys did your little fleet movements down our way. I could hear you all now "Tee-hee! We are gonna get those evil pirates! Tee-hee! That silly Tank mining in our space, we will teach them! Oh-oh...they got a fleet too.."

Its the fact that things are accelerating out of context. Its the fact that player hatreds are starting to manifest in rather over-blown and worrying ways.
People, everyone needs to get a grip and calm down.
The amount of hatred directed towards people like Jade, is ridiculous, lame, pathetic and totally uncalled for. Ill say it again because I understand now that I need to penetrate some pretty thick skulls out there it seems, but ITS JUST A GAME
The issue here is lack of maturity. Clearly there is a great deal of immaturity in Eve. I don't know how this can be addressed, but it needs a firm hand. The people to administer this firm hand and to ensure that people do not take things out of context, are corp CEO's. But that doesn't seem to be happening.
DM, if you actually think that not imposing any control on corpmates is somehow good for the wider community of Eve, then you have less smarts than I previously gave you credit for.
To borrow a quote from Douglas Adams that I feel is appropriate here:
