People talk about warp to zero like it's a bad thing, sure it means we don't get "easy kills" But it also means we can travel everywhere without the use of instas. Which in my opinion is a good thing. I can go into high sec and get skillbooks and mods (in a shuttle) in outlaw status easier than ever. I don't need instas, I just go

Think you should change that to Sys.. Because, To know who is the best Pirate corp in to Eve.. You have to meet another Pirate corp.
For like Hor and Erila.. I would have to say This corp :) because we pirate around it alot and im sure people who have got ganked by us, Would say other wise.

I guess the first thing to do would be to define what a Pirating corp is?
Most cash ransomed? Most pods killed in low sec? Operates in lowsec exclusivly but not in o.o? Most shuttle kills? I mean, what makes a pirate corp a pirate corp and a small gang of friends ganking simply something else?

Snigg and Veto I'd say.
Got the opportunity to watch Veto do it's work against some goons and RA in YPW recently, great small unit tactics (Kessah, vonakaNBuster & crew). Whether that makes them good pirates too is another matter, but they definitely can fight.

I have NEVER posted a loss or a killmail on battleclinic...
And I have 52k points with 6k loss points...
Searching For Fate. its similar, about 53k kill points and 7k loss points.
Deathrow (our old corp) has just under 3400 kills on that site, without ever posting a killmail there. (246k points lol)

Id say best pirates are the ones that make the most isk, whole point of being a pirate is making a isk not killing everything. On this note i would say TDG, dont get killed that often, make lots of isk.

As a pretty new piratecorp and now only 3 of us in it atm i would say that it's impossible to catch up to the other that has been hanging around for a long time.
But thoose I have been seen around since I started 2004 is infact TDG so =)
There is many ways to Pirate, gate camps with 15+ but i love to go alone and try to gank some almost impossible cases and are so lucky when I achive that. That's for me the thrill. Just ganking in fleet is boring nor sniping with unlimited power.

In any case there is no point arguing with the trolls on this section of the forums.
Those wearing blinkers generally cant see much outisde of one narrow tunnel of vision.
The facts are Octobersnow has more kills than any other pirate corp in EVE and that is unquestioned.
OFC most are noob ships that we undock with our alts and sniped.
But like I said those who read this actually believe that the world is still flat too.

sorry to dissapoint u but we have over 40k kills, ~30k is not pvp - its all sniping but still kill is a kill we did it for isk :)
since i dont feel like nominating my own corp from the rest i prefer sniggs (they rock) and fzn (old school :))

I just couldn't resist rubbing the fact that the self-proclaimed 'Best PvPer in EVE' got caught by a Crow with an afterburner and a gang with a couple t1 cruisers and a battleship. Especially right after we killed his corp mate 2 systems down.
Let's face it, Ginger. In a gate camping Carrier you can kill Battleships, but when it comes to REAL piracy you can't do a thing.

i have no respect for Burn Eden, you guys have no idea how to fit your ships
you only fit Warp stabs and sensor dampeners
i remember a while i go, i was in a gang with Heinky and i asked him how his Raven setup was, and he told me that he had 3 stabs in low slots and 4 remote sensor dampeners

Burn Eden FTW hands down, no competition.
All the others are without form or substance. Eve is full of low life gank squads that call themselves pirate corps, Burn Eden is the only real pirate corp in this game.

BE is a gank squad. The difference though is they do it with fewer people and with more tactical planning than just insta gate to gate kill everything. They also fight out numbered where others would flee. Think of it as fighting fire with fire.

The founders of death row inc are currently in Fate. They are very good pilots, but I think they are inactive, and I also don't really think you can call them pirates.
We are in Fate. atm. We aren't sure whats going to be happening in the next few weeks (WoW expansion + Phonix = ghey) So we aren't really playing all that much or really recruiting or doing a whole lot. (A few ganking runs and whatnot).
I don't have a WoW account so I'll probably stay in EVE this time around. We technically aren't pirates, in that we kill for fun, not money. Occasionally we'll ransom a pod but usually not.

Can't really say who's the best since I don't really encounter many pirates anymore (out in 0.0 the distinction blurs anyway) but my favourite pirate corps would be...
Snigg - Top guys, <3 Shamis and Rasta.
Veto - Same as snigg really, made a good name for themselves.
Tundragon - Alot of respect for a corp that still attempts ransoms despite all the changes in Eve that discourage it.
The Establishment - Mainly for having the rocks to be one of the first to deploy a mothership on the front lines consistently.

why are every1 here talking about PVP all of the sudden
piracy and pvp is not the same
pvp = 1 vs 1 fights or 2 vs 2 fights (close to fair fights )
but piracy, you dont have to pvp and you get to blow up ships and laugh real hard when they go boom...
pirates never fight fair...

We've had quite alot of noobish peeps joinging lately, but we got a few good pvpers, arma pwns. I'm getting there... =) But yeah we're not as good as Snigg etc but we're getting there. Yeah the dread incident was funny, cos like everyone in the Genesis area was finished.... which we weren't Now got 2 dreads a Thanatos. =D But a really bad pirate corp though are Legion, they're nothing what they used to be. A guy sits at a stn in docking range in a Revelation adn when we go to kill it he starts smakcing how we're rubbish even though he docks when he got a hit a bit and when he got 1 kill he was like he just wtfpwned a whole fleet and was like we suck... idiot. Also now when Legion see us they run for their lifes. YARR

*BUZZZZZ* Wrong, pvp is a common term which means "Player versus Player"..regardless of the circumstances that a fight occurs in between two or more players, it's always PvP.
Fairs fights are pvp...unfair fights are pvp..piracy is pvp..even dueling is pvp.
As for pirates who never fight fair? speak for yourself...I know of numerous that do. Myself included.
As for OctoberSnow..theres nothing impressive about this corp. Apart from their own ego that is..it's impressively huge.
Oh well..if they themselves think they're cool and uber, fine by me :)

I would like to take this opportunity to point out that every corp nominated here has its merits, though obviously there will be different opinions on this sorta thing. However NO-ONE has mentioned october snow. You guys are a joke. Wana prove me wrong? you know where the button is.
I am saying this, nice and slowly so even you can understand, that my corp is infinately better than yours benz.
And trust me, I have no illuisions of grandure, I do not presume to be the best pvper in eve, as such a thing does not exist. I'll take leon 026 as an example. I think I can safely say, while leaving leon's feelings intact that I would kick the crap out of him in a battleship fight, probably even if he had the same SP as me. However he knows more about interceptors that most players twice his age. So once and for all, stop your crap, because you arn't fooling anyone. October Snow was a joke, now its just an embaressment.

I would also put Loot up there as one of the best. How long have you guys been at it?
And of course Snigg. Regardless of whether or not they pirate, they are an awesome pvp corp.
Respect to Burn Eden also. Although many people don't conider them pirates, i'd say they are. Killing for the loot (and fun) sounds like a pirate to me. They just don't say yarr enough, thats the problem!

Well, its hard to take this thread completely seriously. There are alot of Corps in this thread named/voted that aren't even Pirate Corps. I see alot of Merc and Bear corps listed.
I'm sorry, but when half your members are positive sec stat its hard for me to believe that you're pirates.

I never saw the thread in question. It is not my job to find out what my corp mates are doing on the forums. And frankley I don't care. Our corp is not a corp where we care what one does in their free time.
My stance is that if you're not -10, or working on getting there, then you're not a pirate -OR- you have a lot of time on your hands to NPC hunt. Which is fine, but it happens to bore me personally. I think people confuse pirates with merc corps who occaisionally practice piracy. Veto for instance. A case could be made for SNIGG, as they pirate in 0.0. But they have a lot more in common with 0.0 alliances than they do with lowsec pirates.
The problem is that people have such a broad definition of piracy whereas most lowsec pirates are much more specific about it. Piracy is killing or ensaring people for profit, true, but an important factor is that they are breaking the law. In 0.0 there are no laws. Therefore one could make a case for someone that has identical tactics to us, only in 0.0, are not pirates. The only way someone could have a positive sec status and be a pirate is if they NPC hunt as much or more than they pirate. Would that then not make them an NPC hunter who practices piracy?
It all comes down to personal opinion. Arguing about it is senseless because changing someone's opinion, when it's based purely on perceptions and not facts (as there is no factual definition for piracy in Eve), is one of the hardest things one can do.
I am not playing Eve right now. I am at work. If I were playing Eve I wouldn't have time to post here.
And it's not my fault people travel AFK. If I had my way I wouldn't have to kill anyone because they'd be at their computer to accept convos and pay ransoms. I actually get a little sad when someone is AFK and I have to resort to blowing them up to profit. I'm a businessman, not a cold blooded killer.
Lastly, I'd say that anyone who resorts to insults and name calling during a discussion has more issues with intelligence than I. But again, that's just my opinion.

Well if you want to get technical deathforge, PvP = Player versus Player and is defined any time a player engages/attacks another player whether its consensual or not and whether one or both are attacking/defending.
A fair PvP fight rarely happens in Eve. Its tremendously rare in fact. The only way it can be achieved perfectly, is if you had two players that were cloned from the same person, with the same playing ability, same ship type with same fittings, with same skill points (edit: same skill points as in same point distribution among the skill categories).
To win such a mirror match would be very difficult. There are many 'near equal' fights and engagements in Eve. But if you think 5 BS vs. 5 BS is truly fair, you would need to conduct a test on many factors to determine how equal it really was.

Bug abuse? They didn't abuse a bug. They were able to exploit something that CCP thought of as somewhat of a non-issue. Nobody else had done it, or thought of it. Then when a GM went into Yulai and told them to stop, they said, "no, I don't think we will."
As stated above Piracy in Eve is measured in nothing more than infamy. Take a look at the so called "top pirate corps" in Eve. m0o did more ISK damage fighting against alliances than they ever could have hoped to have done with actual piracy. But they were the first pirates, killing people almost instantly after release. This makes them infamous. Which makes them "top pirates," even though as far as generating and destroying ISK with piracy, they probably weren't in the top 10.
