I just got a Worlds Collide Lvl 4 in Dodixie, which is very high sec.
Is this new since Revealations?

No, the mission came in with RMR about a year ago iirc.
It's hard, yet it's not. You can use the gates without killing the ships, but fight-wise it's harder to tank than an extravaganza.
Good bounties though.

No, I mean in high sec. As far as I know the mission only comes up in low sec and I've never gotten it in a high sec system until today.

It is almost exactly the same as the old mission that came in with RMR except the rats dont respawn. I think it has been ammended for high sec and came back with Revelations. -----------------------------------------------

Got it 2 times in 0.5 Caldari zone. Weird, I thought it was low sec only.

Pretty sure when the mission first came out it wasn't supposed to be in hi-sec. They found out that only the Angel version was being excluded from hi-sec and so removed the rest. As I'm in Angel territory I'm seeing it now for the first time - and it crops up quite often.

I can confirm it spawns on the dod agent, had it twice myself.
It did indeed used to be low sec only, aside it being bugged at one time, which i think got fixed in the end.
Mmm don't know for sure, but id imagine the high/low sec thing might have been changed when they stoped it respawning, didn't the outposts come to high sec when they changed the highend drone drops?
In truth one of the reasons it wasn't allways a good idea to farm the mission in low sec anyway, was the fact it could be scanned down... whole world of hurt could have come tumbling down on you ______

I think it was in Revelations patch notes under 'missions', that Worlds collide is now less farmable and so is back in high sec. I have got it something like 3 or 4 times after patch in high sec.

I have been along on a few of the new WC missions
The Gurista side I now dont like. Followed a corp mate in, he got agro from one spawn & upon shooting one of his rats I got the rest agroing me. Had to rely on my logistics friend to boost me 1000 every 4s on my shields to balance the damage & that was with 80%+ resistance to them.
It has changed abit from the old WC missions so be carefull. ----

Shame some people have yet to connect them.

Drone aggro I think they get too close to the other groups and they attack your drones first which is a good clue.

Erm... AFAIK only a few small things changed.
1) Rats don't respawn (Yay for salvaging!!) 2) The gates on stage 1 are closer and you can get to them before the rats get to you. 3) On both second stages, there are 2 new frigates (Spies), instead the previous version where they were random, and was just 1 Angel frigate, and 1 gurista T1 cruiser.
Other than that...um... not noticed any changes. (Serpentis Overseer has spawned twice so far...both times a Domi, but bounty varied) Love doing this mission in my NH, nice ISK, and now not too much reward for the risk of the initial DPS of the 2 stage 2's.

Are there any tips for the final stage as I seem to push my hull to the limit on the few times I've done this mission? I'm petty sure that all the rats are angels (they all aggro on warp-in) but I'm pretty sure one of the little sods fires thermal torps rather than explosive
Between all the activity from the npc's and the profusion of collideable objects round my ship it can be a little difficult to plan my exit strategy

You can make only one group (1 BS + support) aggro you in the last stage. At least that worked when I did it in my nanophoon. Get out of the swarm fast and shoot only rats that lock you. You don't even need to kill all the rats to loot the heron. ------ No ISK, no fun |

Its been FOREVER since I've done missions. Literally years, but I have stupid good standing.

That's cool, I finally had a chance to try it the other weekend with some friends. Lost 3 out of 6 ships... but it was cool to have a difficult mission that required teamwork.

Done last week, in high sec, and the dammed heron wouldn't open until a friend and I had killed all the enemies in the last room.
The angel version is almost impossbile for a Gallente as drones are high risk, as the easily aggro other groups switching tatgets at wim, even when the target is alive and in easy range, and the 425 rail do insufficent damage to break the Angel battleships thank.
Maybe a blastership has a chance, but again it i dangerus as the short range risk to aggro the wrong group.

I have done it 2 times by using Serpentis gate. Drones are OK inside but you have to be very very careful. Don't let them to scratch 2x Angel Spies. If you attack/nos/paint/web/etc.. those, whole zone will aggro. I kept them alive and killed as last. I never moved away from jump-in spot. No problem on pulling other two groups, both came alone without aggroing other group. Just don't attack Angel spies if you can't tank the rest, and believe me it is nearly impossible to tank whole pocket, they do nasty damage. Broken heron room was soo easy, leave 3x BS group (50km orbit) as last. Kill others first, 3x BS group don't even aggro you when you get close to them by 100 meters

Any hints about how long faction ships take to spawn and if better to stay in space rather than leave it spawn after 20 hours ? Any good bounty ones ?

I've done Guristas/Serpentis worlds collide about 6 times since Kali, and usually I don't bother waiting for any overseers to spawn.
The one time I did kill a Serpentis Overseer it spawned whilst I was half way through cleaning out the Serpentis stage --- Sig removed, please keep it within 400x120 pixels, email [email protected] if you have any questions - Xorus |

By less farmable do they mean it vanishes after DT if you've killed all the ships in all the rooms?
Because yesterday I got it, Killed everything with the intention of doing it again today. I warp to the mission bookmark and there is nothing there. They've deconstructed the gates and left :(

Necro, but still a valid question. If you kill the all the initial agro ships in the last room it will not respawn (as it makes the mission complete) otherwise it will after DT.
As far as the overseer spawn time on the guristas/serp version the serp overseer usually spawns within 30-60 minutes. Haven't seen the gurista one, but I don't generally hang around since my luck at getting a commander spawn pretty much sucks.

it should still be there after DT. By "less farmable" it means the spawns dont continually respawn (ie sit there for 5 hours killing battleships non stop gets you a LOT of money)

Warping in - no.
Taking hostile action against the already-agroed spawn - yes. I helped a corpmate do WC, the Guristas left me alone until I shot one of the Serpentis rats, at which point the whole spawn agroed me. It's the classic buddy agro bug, no different from any other case of a buddy-agro-bugged area.
Also, agro was a little weird in the final area of the Serpentis side, but I think that was my fault for moving too close to a second spawn. ------------ Ezra Cornell

If you've played that long then you should be able to use command ships, if so then why would you use a Cerb over a Nighthawk? If not then why use a Cerb over a Drake?

for sansha vs angel wc4, both lvl 2 stages will aggro on drones as long as the spys are alive. so kill spys first, then release drones ...
