Hi,
I have been discussing this with some people here and as I understand it then this is by design. These systems were never implemented to be mining areas, I understand that these are wastelands inhabited with rouge drones that can be hunted for minerala that can be refined into high end ore and then shipped out to production sites.

If thats true, I want the drones to drop some alloy which refines into a load of low-end minerals... Almost all corps that I know in the new regions are having huge trit/pyerite issues...
But this cant be right, can it?

This does not seem right. If it is right, then I think that CCP has made a mistake in their thinking. Why even put asteroid fields in there? Why populate the moons with materials? The moons were messed up at first and then fixed. How is a corp supposed to support itself out there with the amount of ore that respawns?
There aren't many ice fields that I could find in 7k. If they don't want corps putting up pos's then why have materials in the moons? If they put materials in the moons, but dont have ice fields atleast give us ore to support the fueling costs of the POS's and to support the corp activities.
It just all doesn't make sense and I think that a dev response would be apropriate seeing as this is the main supporting activity of corps generally.

I dont understand why we should not post that:
The GMs words r contradicting themselves, it sounds to me they dont know what they r talking becouse i got 2 totally diferend responses within 1 hour. It is just not posible to be like that and i do belive we finally deserve relevant anwswer! And what is more u see here and on other forums all this ppl saying stuff about roids - and nothing was done.

I know you have a lot going on but I would like an answer to this as well, as it will dictate the future direction of a corp, is this something thats is not right and being fixed (low ore anounts in new regions) or something that is planned. I could care less either way but would like to know as soon as possible so we can get on with things. This is not anything that I can find out for myself, the answer must come from you. CCP are snowed under. There are more bugs in eve than ever before and they are having trouble coping, thus the lame petition responses. I emailed head office in Iceland got the same 'we're working on it' crap back, non-commital and very vague. Eve's been faulty for months now : /

....2 months, still not fixed....
Even the low end roids are to small to make mining worth while, yes the drones give great drops....but no hauler spawns, no sizable low end roids....takes for ever to mine trit.

... still not fixed .... how long this will take? Wich corp could survive a greater war with such a mess? I'm taking the way back to the empire. Its worthless with 0.0 Pirate on one side and no minerals on the other side.

sure theres plenty high end mins in drone alloys, but not evryone is hunting all day long. no one can produce and supply a corp just from high end ores.
why not boost the roids a bit? why not let some drones hauler some mins and let s blow them? why cant there some leftovers from gallente in form of faction or officer spawns? some drone bosses?
and pls do anything with exploration up here in new regions! evry system only holds either a hidden belt with even less ore than in the here usual belts or a unknown signature leading to a drone complex no one can see a sense about. theres not much sense in exploration if we find all day long evrytime the same useless stuff...

I wonder if we (the players) are the only ones reading this? Did CCP intend the new regions to function this way? Im starting to think so given how easy it must be to make a database table change, and increase the seed/growth rate of roids.

If this is intended, then its a mess to build new ships in new in the new regions. And what should miners do?

The small drones drop alot of alloys that can be refined into trit, etc, which may mean that CCP intended us to exploit the drones in our regions alot more than we do. Most ratters leave the little drones, and only loot the BS...
I am not saying this is the case, but given how slow CCP has been to react to its users (especially given how trivial this fix should be)I would not be surprised if it was an intentional bug....

Wow it took a while b4 anyone alse then DMC complained about all - and i guess it will take much more b4 CCP will do something if anything.
Exploration is really great - we have complexes nearlly in each system - but scan probes worth more then u get reward for doing it and they r 1 time complexes
Low end ore cant be get in new region anyhow. Not in ratios fro building BSes or biger stuff.
I love G5 region :)

I think CCP should set a sign for the players. Below the Section Patchnotes exists a listing of the known issues. The problem with the roids in new regions is NOT listed.
It seems CCP is ignoring this the described problem in this thread.
Please CCP don't ignore your players. Put the problem on the known issues list and pleas fix it asap.

It would be nice if they would at least state their intentions for the new region. If they want the new region to have low roid ore and want us to just mine rats the PLEASE TELL US. Then we may understand.

Now - it is 100% sure this roids things was not meant to be - its definetlly a bug;
why - let me tell u why!!
I found deepspace signature and warped to it and got into dead space plex with minable roids; arkanor, bistote, crokite; guess what the ammounts was; 17 in each
So reward for scaning out is around 150 oure units amount for all that scaning. Thats broken as all ore amounts in all roids.
Fix plz! or the finger - it was long enought

It is near impossible to make isk up here, low end minerals are scarcer than high end minerals.. too many pirate chokepoints etc etc
But the roids... :( I am seeing this HUUUUUUUUGE veld roid here, and it was gone after 2 minutes or something...
Any update?

i remember a time when belts respawned daily... and roids being bigger or atleast they seemed to be, was a long time ago, over a year ago, but i'ld like to see those days return.

I'm pretty sure the devs don't get in here much, but I'm pretty sure bug reports get read. Everyone in the new regions should file at least one bug report concerning this issue and others. If you already have cool, if not get to it. Several hundred bug reports describing the same or similar issues will most likely be noticed. Include screen shots if possible. This situation should not be a lingering issue.
