My opinion - total B.S. Irregardless of 'Game Mechanics' and legal scamming, to have a corp member behaving like that and making a total ass of himself in that manner should, IMO, equal a nice boot out of 0.0. And it's pretty damn embarassing to wear a tag when you have random asshats doing acts of stupidity like this.
When I've ran groups of 200+ players in other MMO's, if someone was a scammer (even on an alt), they were out. Period. Regardless of their post in their organization, or how many kills they had.
But since I'm not one of the guys in charge, my only suggestion would be to post all relevant info on the EDF forum and see if that accomplishes anything.
My opinions are my own, and not necessarily those of my corp or ASCN.

Man, sorry about the scam but unfortionately, as they say, it's game mechanics. Honestly, try to do what you can in working within the perps corp structure and see if that provides anything. Considering the attitude you've received here, I doubt it will result in much. There's so many things I could say to rip on ASCN for their lovely response but, well, I guess it says it all by itself.
Also, bearing a full story with all the details and the things you've done to try and let ASCN save face(sending corp emails, time frame, etc) would be of better benefit to you.

....ive never dealt with contracts yet, but this has got to be at least as stupid as someone falling for an escrow scam where someone puts up a shuttle for 1 bil and calls it a dread, and they dont bother to inspect.

Hey, Mr Sin.... that is precisely what CCP has said. As far as the creators of the game are concerned this is 100% legal and legit and in fact has happened to all the major alliances and corps in the game (although I haven't heard of it happening to BoB).
As to BoB getting all high and mighty in this thread and railing against SJ and other ASCN posters: Why are they hypocrits and you guys are literally "just using game mechanics"? Now that ASCN has swallowed CCP's Kool Aid regarding "game mechanics" shouldn't you be afraid? I expect some very mysterious POS offline incidents up north in the not too distant future, maybe even ASCN destroying a Pilotless Titan. Then they will truly be able to finally carry BoB's jock. Either that or all the CCP alts have moved to ASCN and left BoB :P

- vinnymcg (eXceed Inc. / Ascendant Frontier) implicitly acknowledging the scam, and supporting it. (This guy says they cannot control everything, of course they can't, but he doesn't say that any action will be taken). 3.

In fact, you are so focused about saying how much the OP sucks, that the majority of readers will understand your post as "the OP deserved to be scammed". Wich is supporting the scam versus the OP as he sucks so much, even if in general you say you don't support scams.
But I'm not interested in knowing if the OP sucks, if I suck (sure, anyone can say so if he wants), if X/Y/Z suck.
I'm interested in watching how the targets of this accusation will react to it.
Are they going to deny the scam happened?
Are they going to publicly support this scam?
Are they going to say they'll investigate this but do nothing and let the story be forgotten?
Are they going to bring evidences about the scam never happening?
Are they going to acknowledge the scam and take actions against it's author?
OR : no one will talk seriously. They'll just let the guys have their fun, and let this 'incident' be forgotten. And it will be forgotten. However, a few people, like me, will perfectly understand what this would mean about what kind of people they are. Of course in this case they don't care about what I, or any other basic EvE player, thinks about them.
You see, the real question here is not about this scam. It's about how much ASCN and Co value what others think of them. Why? Because this tells who they really are.
I promise I won't post anymore on this subject.
I'll just watch, and learn a little bit more about a major figure of the EvE universe ;)

As someone who was once in EDF and who would rather delete my characters than deal with John McCreedy as my ceo again, I will state that EDF are not scammers as a whole and will not tolerate this sort of thing. This looks like an alt (note the lack of agents) and if the main is known they would be booted. John McCreedy for all his flaws, wouldn't let a scammer tarnish his corps reputation.
With ASCN in panic mode, the EDF home system lost, and John apparently out of the game, someone, most likely a new member, decided to scam a fool not caring if he were to get kicked out.

I am totally appalled at the abuse I see people throwing at the OP for his lack of proper spelling and grammar. He has stated he is Dutch. You can't expect him to have perfect English.
I also saw some utter moron post something that essentially stated "speak the game's language or get out". What a completely stupid thing to say. This is an online game. Just because it was developed in the English language doesn't make English it's language. The servers are in London, the developers are in Iceland, and the players are all over the friggin' globe!

Not gonna find to much sympathy here, especially given the warning pop up provided so kindly by CCP.
Sorry you got scammed, but I'm sure it won't happen again. Everyone learns their lesson some way. Some by getting scammed, some by hearing about scams, and others by scamming themselves.
