What was the problem?
No farking clue.
How the server works:
Winamp (plays music) -> Shoutcast server -> Intarwebs -> You
The Winamp player on the server was stuttering horribly for some weird reason. Stopping the play and restarting it fixed the problem.
This meant that the audio input to the server software was stuttering--so the server was working perfectly fine. It just was transmitting music that was stuttering to begin with

From how it sounded, I believe that the stuttering was because winamp wanted to play the music faster than it was playing (it sounded the way it should, but skipping forward slightly every now and then).
A very odd error...

Has anyone had any success using players other than Winamp or iTunes? So far those are the only ones that I know work.

Try Winamp then... its an AAC+ stream, so not as compatible as an MP3 stream (but uses less bandwidth, which is more important on my slow connection).
I was told by someone in D-C channel that it worked on their iTunes though.

Doesn't seem to be working with audacious (or I'm just missing the codec).
I can connect with vlc, but the results are... well... not good...
mplayer works  (and so does totem player)

I've been listening for a while, and you've got some good tunes dude. I've tried setting up my own now and after wrestling with my router for a bit I've got it working.
171hrs worth of trance ftw.
Now I don't have to spam ventrilo any more.

Are you aiming for pure trance (which is fine by me hehe) or a good mix of other kinds of electronica too? I dunno if you have any of it yet, but some Marco V, Tiesto, Dogzilla, Deep Dish, LCD Soundsystem, Lady Tron, Chemical Brothers, Basement Jaxx, DAFT PUNK!!!, ORBITAL!!!, err sorry, and a bunch more of the like?

Eh... Daft Punk... not really trance. Don't know all of the others except Tiesto, and already got some of him (though not enough!)

A 64 bit gentoo installation to be specific, but it should work on all the others aswell.

Trance matches the new Zen of Trading, Warp to zeroing around systems picking up stuff without conscious thought. This I like.
If you want a picky preference, more Vocal Trance please.
