You won at EVE coding. May plexes drop in your cargobay untill it's full.
Also, any chance to have an "easy installer"? I don't mean a damn clickme.exe but at least something that doesn't require setting up a db, a web server and maintain them? Or at the very least a wiki with detailed informations and possibly something preset for general use that people can tweak if they want but that can kinda work out of the box? |

As i said, there is an auto-installer, for the DB, coming with the next release. If you have some kind of "shared-hosting-webspace", you should not care about web server/DB config. All you need (for Apache) is the *.htaccess in your /www/root dir which is part of the repo. For Nginx users, I-Śll add a server config to the repo as well. But you still need some knowledge about setting up CronJobs etc.

A wiki and installation guide is already available here. I would recommend wait for the upcoming RC. The installation process will become much simpler. Check out the wiki for the "new" installation process when it is released.

Are you saving passwords in plain text? If so, that is really risky. Also, can you make an input field for the destination when adding wormhole sigs? |

He doesnt. Just installed it and checked the first user, its encrypted.
Although I also would like to request an SSO type of login style instead of the whole "create your own user with an api" thingie. That is kinda outdated (no offense).

It is encrypted by a "BLOWFISH to hash" algorythm (wiki). Probably one of the strongest and most secure ways to encrypt in real time. The excrypt function is of cause not written by myselfe. you need a "salt" generated out of the users PW to de-crypt the PW.
- Framework bCrypt (doku) - Code base for DB storing (set_password();) L160 - Code base for user verification (verifyUser();) L203
IMPORTANT: Even if the PW is save, there is NO guarantee that Intel is 100% save! This is just a general warning. Nobody can guarantee, that the code-base is not changed or manipulated on any third party installation. -> If someone has access to the server/code, manipuattion is not a problem! This counts for any software in the world.

v.1.0.0RC1 deployed (issues):
This is not realy a "feature release". This is the largest "technical update" since first BETA. The Setup process has changed completely. DB-Tables/Columns/Indexes/Keys/... are now automatically generated by their Model-Classes. This will help to automatically update your third-party installation on further releases (very cool!). It includes a full "DB-diff ", "update scan" and comes with a new admin UI (Setup Dashboard).
I moved my installation from a Shared-Hoster to a brand new and dedicated VPS environment, running Nginx v1.9.9 and PHP v7.0.2. We also switched to MariaDB v10.1.10.
- NEW project URL (https://www.pathfinder-w.space) (moved from "shared hoster" to VPS) - NEW: Setup Dashboard screenshot (#6) -- New install/update process -> check the wiki -- Visual UI for DB setup and configuration "www.[YOUR_DOMAIN]/setup" (new route added) -- DB tables are automatically created out of their model classes -- PHP and MySQL settings are checked automatically -- DB update will be easy for upcoming releases (full DB diff/update functions) -- Indexes/Unique Keys are automatically set and named correctly -- Foreign-key-constraints are automatically set -- Basic Configuration is shown on the dashbaord (see pathfinder.ini) -- No "crtitical" DB functions on this board (you cant break/delete anything) - NEW: Added support for Nginx Servers (v.1.9.9) - NEW: Added support for PHP v.7.0.2 - NEW: Added support for MariaDB (v.10.1.10) - NEW: Added "favicons" folder to project - NEW: Added "lazyloading" for images (login page) (reduced page load time) - NEW: Added "laziloading" for Youtube videos (login page)(reduced page load time) - NEW: Added *.gz compression for static sources (*.js/*.css) to Gulp "production" build-task (reduced page load time) - NEW: Added GitHub Developer API support (Version history available on Login page) - NEW: Added "Youtube" verification code to index.html - Changed DB-column naming for map sharing settings ("sharing" -> "shared") - Changed deprecated SVG animation bars into CSS animation keyframes - Improved *.ini config file loading (added include instead of loading each file) - Moved DB connection credentials into new "environment.ini" - Updated "readme.me" - Updated project wiki (installation guide) - Updated main SVG map drawing lib jsPlumb (v1.7.6 -> v2.0.5) - Updated IconFont "FontAwesome" (v4.4.0 -> v4.5.0) - Removed registration mail (#80) - Fixed redirect (#79) - Fixed IGB-Header bug on Nginx servers - Fixed "Shatterd Wormhole mapping" (#73) - Fixed "Connection sometimes deletes" (#78)
Next steps:
- Implementing CCPs SSO - Implementing Ship-tracking by CREST - Dropping IGB support - This gives us the chance to add WebWorker support which will increase the performance massively!

To find Routes, you need to import the SQL file (which is not automatically imported with the DB setup process):
https://github.com/exodus4d/pathfinder/tree/master/export/sql
Ill update the wiki with that info sorry.

I'm having a small problem with fresh install, Pathfinder itself is working, setup dashboard shows everything green (apart from some empty pathfinder db tables) But system info shows all wormholes as shattered with no statics.
Example : http://i.imgur.com/w1jXqtX.png
Any fix/anyone had that problem ? |

When a user tries to register, pathfinder is doing a MX lookup on the email address. This prevents users with email addresses without MX records from registering.
See RFC 5321 (https://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc5321#section-5.1) for delivery of email without MX record, or find a TL ; DR at wikipedia (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MX_record#History_of_fallback_to_address_record). |

Being able to edit the system name in the map is paramount to our success, we are considering adopting Pathfinder, please say that we can! Or, if not yet, that it is a planned feature in the future, I can get behind that all the way to Hek and back. Or possibly adding a system nickname that is displayed with parenthesis (although that sounds more code crazy to me than just renaming the system, but I'm a pleb); something so we don't have to name our corporate bookmarks J######.
Which, this gives me an idea; is it possible to have a list of "known holes" with names that automatically update if we connect to them? So that, say we roll into the famous Nova, I'd like to know its Nova without having to look it up (just an example). Just wondering aloud without any frame of reference.
it looks amazing and the development process is spectacular. We look forward to putting Pathfinder to great use!

I gave pathfinder a try and while it looks really nice I wish you can make the system boxes bigger. Had an issue where it's really hard to grab the box to move it or even drag the connection vines out. In fact now when I look at it, everything needs to be larger. Signature list is so tiny you need to really focus on it when you want to see info.
It's really responsive in browser but really sluggish in IGB. This is the biggest issue I have atm.
There are no sig filters for the time when i want to hide anomalies.
Following two things combined together make sig update very hard. You basically need to compare every single sig by hand and click on each one you want to delete individually. Where most of us are used to copy all the sigs in mass sig reader and marking "delete missing sigs" for the list to update. New ones appear, old one delete and one with data in them stay intact.
You can overwrite the scanned sig with pasting empty one over it. This is reported/requested already here https://github.com/exodus4d/pathfinder/issues/81
There is no option to delete the sigs not in clipboard table when you add multiple sigs Requested here https://github.com/exodus4d/pathfinder/issues/95
I also had some API reading errors but page refresh solved it.
Oh and there is no enemy POS intel anywhere. It's really good if we can add that for each system so everyone in corp can access it straight from there.
In the end I want to say great job with Pathfinder, it really looks promising! |

The fact that I cant add out of corp players to a corp map is crushing this tool for me everything else is great. Should implement like tripwire. If you are logged in with a corp api then it tracks your location and you can see corp map, even if the character your logged in as is not in corp.
I can log in with my corp account but then it doesnt track my player location, just says no player found |

Hello, you can start it with
docker run -p 80:80 -e HOSTNAME=http://HOSTNAME -e SSO_CCP_CLIENT_ID=CLIENTID -e SSO_CCP_SECRET_KEY=SECRETKEY vivianmeally/pathfinder
Before run, you need to create a application under https://developers.eveonline.com/applications CALLBACK_URL is http://HOSTNAME/sso/callbackAuthorization
if you pass -v /database:/var/lib/mysql to it, you can safe the db to a host
With the next release of Pathfinder, Exodus 4D will change env variables, and i will make use of it in next release too. |

Cheers on the 1.0 release Exodus!
I ran into a problem during the database bootstrap, all the checks pass but the "setup tables" button simply refreshes and doesn't actually touch the database
some basic info on the setup:
FreeBSD 10.3-RELEASE nginx 1.10.1 php 5.6.22 running as php-fpm pcre 8.38 mariadb 10.1.14
I also noticed visiting the main page creates a sessions table, so clearly the database connection is working.
Can anyone provide a mysqldump with just the tables? |
