I've spent the past day or two fiddling with a new radio station, but now a friend of mine has given me access to a 300-user relay server... so I figure I'll stress test the network and see how many people we can get on here. (so I've posted it here)
Check it out with Winamp at http://207.150.187.3:8080/ and enjoy streaming trance music to accompany your EVE experience  .
I don't intend this to compete with EVE Radio or the like, as its a totally different genre, nor is it finalized yet in any way, but its a start! At least now we'll have an EVE trance radio station

All the trance fans are fine with pretty much everything in my playlist, at least from what feedback I've gotten so far. If you have a beef with a specific song, say so and I'll consider dumping it.

Its a mix of all types.
European-style, American-style, euphoric, heavy, light, Japanese, whatever.
If there's a particular song you want me to zap, tell me. The only Japanese/Eurodance-style song that I will refuse to zap is Re-Sublimity because it is so awesome.
By the way, would anyone here lynch me if I added "Anna Boten" to the mix?

Actually surprisingly good  I'm not a Trance fan, but this really reminds me of the radio stream a guy in my first corp ran. Always quite enjoyed that.
I'm usually pretty pickey about music so its quite an achievent that I haven't switched it off by now.

By the way, I was wondering what people think of my use of the IBM Text to Speech voice for announcements on the channel. I like it because its really easy to just queue up an announcement without having to pull out a mike and worry about people being able to understand my voice

Sounds good, quality is suprisingly good considering the stream bitrate... but then again I'm listening to it on laptop speakers.
I considered making a radio for metal and the such, but my torrents demand my upstream.
