Effective pirating, yes, but try seiging one of our outposts and see how far you get.
Triumverant didn't exactly siege an ISS outpost, but they did put up a POS in EC-P8R if I recall correctly. ISS then in an assault on said POS lost what 3 dreads and ended up having to call in MC to take down the pos?

I seem to remember Tri attacking their POS but NEC showing up to help out ISS in their defense. We even managed to keep the tower from going into reinforced mode.

huh? what if they fought back?! wouldn't that turn the whole 'pirating' into 'fighting'?!
ps. Yeah, ISS never seize to amaze me. They won't fight unless they can gank, they won't fight unless they have carrier support, they can't fight so they just call on mercenaries. (me still remembers the days back in ISS when ISS had to call some mercenaries cuz ISS couldn't get things done :P) ------------------------------

Just a little comment about ISS model (neutrality, or non-political).
I understood that ISS main concept was to deploy outpost in some 0.0 region with region owner agreement. Idea being to provide a neutral industrial background. (I personnally liked that idea).
However, i see 2 issues with that:
- By deploying some industry in a region, you recognize region ownership to the guys that claim to control it. Almost every pilot constesting this claim would see ISS as an hostile entity. - Some time to time, region ownership changes, and the new owner may not want to allow you to use the 0.0 region. Unfortunatly you cannot unanchor an outpost and move it to a different region. It mean that you act as a force willing stability, and you may appear as hostile for any new conquering forces. Time going further, you find ISS being hostile for more and more conquering forces (military forces i'd say).
Without trying to convice anyone but me, i'd say that neutrality would meant recognize new claims fast, and to give outposts whenever previously installed forces are not able to protect your POS agains invaders. You might then offer your services to the new owners (like pos fuelling, industry backbone, ....).
Economic point: Some time to time the new owner may not want to use your services, and the outpost construction cost is loss. A good investements analysis should allow to set outposts in places which are stable enough to ensure that, taking all outpost into account, losing an outpost from time to time due to region instability doesn't break your economic model.

"Someone needs to communicate to us how to get them then. I have been sitting in a shuttle in ISS Marginis for two nights with no ships I can fly available. When I asked in ISS Marginis channel there were 85 pilots in channel and the only response I got was a suggestion to try another region." "its basicly like this for most northerns:
YOU ARE ORDERED to come south to assist in the war !
North player: right, i'd better head down there...
North player: ok im here and ready to help South FC: you are too young - we dont trust you
North player: ok im here and ready to help South FC: North player: hey guys! im here as ordered where do you want me South FC:
North player: ok im here and ready to help South FC: no ships around - get one from empire / another region
North player: right, back to PB where im wanted and apreciated" " have to agree with the post above. I've tried hard to help one or two out but there are no T1 frigs available, nobody will give them comms info for fear of inviting a spy in, so they are on their own and the next thing is you see a KM and they've died.
TBH it's a wonder any have stayed down south as long as they have.
Correct me if I am wrong, but I am pretty sure that most pilots will pass one or two vendors of tech 1 frigs when travelling from the north to the south...
Surely!

We have lost quite a few T1 frigates, and did think of disbanding the alliance as we couldnt maintain the logistics, but we struggle onward!

Can someone please update on the f4r status, I am very intrested.who and what parties are now involved and will this be the end of MC (no NSN or TC) as a relevant 0.0 deciding force? Will we see more alliances coming to join the slugfest and can we see if we can break the eve server (over 400 in local from other threads promising to climb way beyond jita!)

That's not giving any credit to IAC. You guys have lots much more than just frigates and you know it. It looks poorly when you go on about iac bship losses while not acknowledging the fact that before mc showed up ISS fleets were wiped out quite easily.

Digitalwanderer in an alliance?
Hard to believe I missed that one till this post of yours, and it seems you left the scope since 3 months already.
You were so fond of being a vet in an NPC corp I never thought I would see this happen.
So, better late than never, I say welcome to 0.0 politics, digitalwanderer.
Best of luck to you, VV

Actually, just to clarify, it wasn't being posted about IAC, but rather RISE, who love to gank solo ISS ships. IAC has accomplished more in the first 10 minutes of this conflict than RISE has since they formed.
