Add me to the list.
A common denominator from most of the people who I have spoken to about this issue has been that we were all in the Essence Region.
I'm not sure if that's a coincidence or a symptom, or if there's even multiple general areas that these leaks are starting at.
I can sit in Placid and play for hours on end, but I'm moving stuff from Everyshore to Placid and each trip through essence causes a drop from an average 60Fps to 6.

Add me to the list stay in one place go no where fine... make 3/4 jumps... fps goes from 75 to 2/3...
tried doing bits to the graphics etcetc... no help....
In 4 weeks of game play graphic issues have just got worse, crashes FPS etcetc...
This is not good for a player who is new to the game... much as they games is nice there is no point paying or a game you can't play no matter how much you may or may not enjoy it...
i have to be honest i have not experienced a compondingof issues in any other MMo over such a period of time.
Hope you fix it soon CCP.

My Name is Rymker and I have a low frame rate... Clearing the cache does not solve the problem. Rebooting only clears it up for a few minutes. I thought the problem was a region but 4 regions later it is still happening. What a bad day to decided to move my mission running operation 30 jumps away...

add me to the list. only just noticed it now, but i had an operation last friday and havent been playing much eve, tonight i think is one of the first times i've travelled out of station since friday and this "travel lag" is unbearable.
there has always been a problem in eve with jumping to a new system sometimes caushing graphical lag, but ALT+ENTER to switch from windowed mode, to full screen and back again, always fixed things, however tonight, it does not and the only cure is to restart the client. 90%+ cpu usage is nothing new for EvE, but i noticed that my mem usage climbs to 300mb and over when this is happening, however its not like the black screen mem leaks were mem gets eaten at a rate of 20mb per 4 seconds or so.
dont see how a server alteration could cause such a bug in the client without a new client patch, but this sure is annoying and a cure would be much welcomed. --

3 FPS gives me headaches, I can't play like this. I don't know when this started, sounds like today, I haven't played since Friday evening and it was fine then.

/me signed,
thought it was some updates to gfx card and other stuff i had fiddled with but seems like we are all suffering. FPS fine for about 10-30mins and then its awful. memory usage for the eve.exe process is running way higher than normal (bout 4x!)
Hope ccp is keeping an eye on this thread!

quick update, i took a log, i restarted my client after this bug caused a slideshow.
i was docked in Amarr, and set destination to Niyabainen, between logging in and undocking, i opened the market tab, a browser and a channel.
Undocking and setting AP i then opened task manager and hide all menu's in EvE and minimised it.
Start: 45 mb usage. 30 FPS 1st Jump: 160mb usage. upon maximising EvE and showing menu's, 190mb usage / 19 FPS. 2nd jump: EvE left maximised. 195mb usage / 14 FPS. 3rd jump: EvE left maximised. 195mb usage / 9 FPS. 4th jump: EvE minimised again. Drops to 30mb usage, upon jumping it eats its way up to 90mb usage. Remains there once opened and is running at 7fps. 5th jump: EvE left maximised. starts at 100mb usage but eats its way up to 200mb before jumping and is running at 6 FPS. 6th jump: EvE left maximised. starts at 207mb usage, but very slowly climbs. 5 FPS drops to 4.5, and settles at 4 FPS approaching the next gate. 7th jump: EvE minimised again, drops to 30mb but upon jumping climbs to 90mb. 3.5 FPS. 8th jump: Im at my destination, a final tally of 104mb in use and a whopping 3.3 FPS.

Same story here, i'm having to restart the client after every 7-8 jumps to maintain decent fps. Just started today, otherwise i never have even a hint performance issues.

thats about right..... it has to do with jumping... if i mine for 2 hours in the same system.. im fine.. but if i jump around.. my FPS goes to like 3-4 FPS.

2 accounts on 2 separate PCs
Before today with vsync=on 60fps on both
Now after a few jumps 2-6fps on both. Restart fixes until I jump thru next gate or two.
I've tried all the usual (cleared cache, effects off, drop resolution, turn off AA and AF etc etc etc) nothing helps

Originally by: Grez 100% CPU usage has nothing to do with it. EVE is a CPU dependant game, and will use as much CPU power as it can. If you're having problems after a certain time, it might be to do with your page file. I suggest making it bigger, or clearing/defragging your page file to see if you get any improvements.
You keep spouting this garbage, eve has never ever used more than 48-55% of my cpu and runs fine same on my friends pc. yet obviously there are people who are having this problem of eve using nearly to 100% cpu and it having obviously detrimental effects to there gameplay. im not saying it is or isnt the eve client or there machine i really dont know what the problem is.
Hope you guys get it sorted.

Even with the crap FPS, my CPU usage is maintaining around 50%, but I did notice my virtual ram is getting gobbled up rather quickly. It's as though it stops using system ram and jumps over to virtual, although I doubt this is the cause but more the effect. /shrug, I am no expert.

It seems to be tied to jumps or how many systems to visit. Cache clearing does not help, rebooting the client does.. so long as you stay in the same system. But for us mission runners or rat hunters, 2.5 fps is horrible. Seems to be a resource link or memory leak because it's happening on ONE of my clients but not the other one.
One client I am jumping around gathering items for production, lag gets horrible regardless of system count and memory useage hit 500+ mb for that ONE client.
Second client stays in hanger, remains fine, minimal memory useage and smooth FPS.
Notice there is a extended down time tomorrow. Hope CCP fixes this as it seems to be a server side issue. Anyone got a fix?

I'm playing a game of 'how low can you go' atm while hauling crap around empire. Ever jump seems to knock around 20% off my FPS. Down to 1.5fps now :D
Sadly I've gotta hit low sec in 5j so I'll probably relog but it's a good little eve minigame __

I won't say this is THE solution, even for me. But so far it seems to have solved the problem (made a 26-jump trip and no fps loss).
After rebooting the client, I turned off "Chat logs". I'm still not sure if that did the trick, will have to test it some more. But give it a try and see if it works for you.

After Ctrl-Q noises dissapear. Logging back restores fps to normal for some time

Same thing here. No problems till yesterday, also in the Essence region. Oh well, let's hope it is indeed a server-side issue and the extended DT takes care of it.

I also have not experienced the problem, until I got home from work on 18th 7pm EVE time. I run two clients on one machine, one client lagged down to a rather chunky 5 fps, when it normally runs at >40. The other client was totally unaffected. Both chars were hauling across The Citadel region, following each other no less, doing EXACTLY the same thing, in the same ship type, configured the same way !
