You don't play video games but the next sentence you do play video games. The most expensive paid option is $14.95 a month. That is $3.74 a week. Not exactly a kings ransom, even a street panhandler could afford it.

What's the difference playing a game and playing with a video editor? You're still not making any money either way. One is no better than the other. I've never used a PLEX, have always paid, and when I open an editor I usually do it to make money. A day or a weekend of work, be whatever the work is, but pays, pays for an entire year of EVE in most Western nations. Spend a weekend playing EVE to pay for a month, meh, that's just working below slave wages imo, not even a hobby but a second job, not even as good as using an editor as a hobby. I'd rather spend those hours and hours of farming for PLEX instead in an editor, then just play EVE when I just want to play EVE.

Don't know if CCP has any control over plex prices. Player base has dropped and people aren't buying plexes like they use to. What exactly do you want CCP to do? Offer deadspace mods or geckos as a gift bonus per plex purchase?

CCP would incur so much wrath if they interfered in PLEX prices again.

There is no difference. I am saying I am busy doing my thing and doing the modeling that I do not have as much time to make 1.6 Bil. but I hope I can bring you guys and myself some nice Eve videos next summer and I will learn a lot by doing it.

Well the difference is then you have two hobbies, and you may need to pick one between the two if you don't have time for both. Or you have it backwards where you make EVE into work and the editor into a hobby which doesn't seem to work as the hobby will always win. And yes I know the learning curve of 3D modeling, thousands of hours of repetitive practice to even show intermediate work quality. That is your own set priority, putting other things and even learning your editor over EVE, and something only you can sort out if you don't want to manage a balance. Getting good at modeling takes years, and can be a burnout just as much as playing a game if overdone obsessively.

CCP can do nothing regarding PLEX. They have only slowed down steep increases, but there is no way to bring prices down other than making EVE suck. The Chinese server pays over 3b a PLEX last I heard, and with far lower PCU than we do. I find it more than likely TQ will hit 2b in coming years or even months possibly depending on circumstances. I welcome it, as there will likely be less people farming which does pump ISK into the system. It's claimed by some that PLEX doesn't effect the game, but I see it as a carrot for players to farm ISK where they would have not otherwise. Now they get spoiled on it and just leave the game feeling too entitled to pay, where as they may have not done so if PLEX never existed.

When you say farming, do you mean people using bots to auto-print isk or people just PVEing with multiboxing chars?

It always felt a little dirty using PLEX to me. Why play a game if you can just use real life money to achieve things in it? I'd rather just pay the subscription and feel like I accomplished something...
