The Warmongers will be participating, as long as a GM reads my petition.
I say allow everything, just like ordinary PVP is. Maybe 5-6 players max per corp, with 2-3bs tops.
Make sure to announce this inside the EVE-News or the little logon-box as I didn't know this existed until I read the Alliance tourney post.

Allowing implants and podding gives the advantage to those who can afford to replace the implants. If the objective is to make it a low-cost tournament, then 'no implants' is simple, enforcable, and in accordance with the spirit of the tournament.

Anymore updates on this?
I think corp tourney's would be very good...or possibly an ongoing league.
I'd expect the manpower to run such things would be quite high, but would be great fun and another aspect of the game that could be marketed. Maybe you could recruit players to help run certain aspects.
Maybe you could develop pvp Arenas! :)

Hi guys,
Sorry for the long delays in getting back to you on this. The ideas been bouncing around the big chaps, and while its agreed that we all think the idea has great potential its been put on the back burner due to the manpower considerations of it. We'd like dedicated arenas and the such, but that requires programming time which is needed elsewhere at the moment.
However, were not forgetting about it by any means, its a cool idea and we hope that it will appear in the not so far future. Thought it best to keep you up to date.

Yup.. much more important to feed the big alliances with stuff, who cares about the smaller corps.
How about scrapping the next alliance tournament instead?

Sorry, I just don't see the sense here. a HAS costs the same as a faction cruiser and is generally inferior, an AF costs only slightly less than a faction frigate.
Only faction battleships are vastly overpriced, but then as there are no T2 battleships a comparison isn't possible.
As for the idea of dedicated arenas, that really does take the fun out of it. If someone wants to crash the party, surely there'd be enough folks about to hand them their ass on a plate?
EP0CH would compete in any such event though, regardless how the rules turn about or the timescale :)
