I have to agree with my Corp mates here a bit.
My 6 month subscription is also running out on the 16th of December, and it feels like their holding a carrot in front of our noses.
Maybe I'll go for a 1 month only subscription first, if they haven't got a decent amount of TechII in, that's about it I guess.
If they do, let's go for another 6 Months

When all cool contens are in the game and all weiners have quit the game becuse it took to long time then...
Eve will be truly great
If every thing were in from the start there wouldn't be much to look forward too, right? ----------------------------------------

"Whaaaa! Gimme gimme gimme! I want it now or I'll cry!"
Some of you people drive me nuts. On one hand you CONSTANTLY ***** about bugs in the game, and on the other, you whine about new content not being out fast enough because they want everything to test everything smoothly. Like a bunch of spoiled kids. Do you think CCP is just toying with us? Do you think they are not developing and testing content and Tech 2 as fast as possible?
If you cannot find anything at all to do in this game until Tech 2 comes out, your mommy should have helped to develop your imagination when you were a youngster.

Why is it that I think the game rocks, even though people sit in this forum moaning all day? Why not use your social skills and communicate with your corp members instead? makes a much funnier game.. Unless you have coded a mmorpg yourself I suggest you stove it

I dunno, as time progresses, i'm finding myself less perturbed at the lateness of patches, more at the lack of content period. I don't mean the game is nothing, but as a percent compared to what is supposedly ancient history... it's very small.
If noone knows what I'm talking about, read the POTW's. Supposedly, all this stuff is already in the world, we aren't re-living history. Very few are actually ingame (Villinon, being one, and that was released after release, so).
The POTW's are what brought me to this game, and I'm jsut a tad dissapointed at not having them; it seems like if they are "planned" features, CCP should be releaseing them now, not before the game was made and leave everyone hanging.

good words amerson. lol i love the game thats it we as players are the ones that have to think ccp gave us a pallet and then we must paint the world as we see fit. to this day i have fun every time i play even when i lose ships it still rocks as a game.
so i come here and laugh at what the people here are like in the real world. but i just shake my head and say it takes all kinds and i go back playing see ya in space.

Quote: We don't use Information Central anymore since we've added the News feature (that displays current news on both the website and in-game) and the dev blog. That's why you haven't seen new posts there since September.
Might I suggest one last post in Information Central stating this?

Was on my list of things to do, but I hadn't gotten that far yet. I'll take a few minutes now to scratch that one off my list.

Well, nice that you're back. You now have about 100 posts by JoeDirt to delete, since he's posted the same thing in about every thread in every forum...

As far as the current status of things here at CCP goes....
Pann,
on a related note, perhaps you could let us know what is going on with the news or "headlines" on the main www.eve-online.com page? The last entry is from October?!
I made a similar post a while back about it which you can read here. I only bring it up since you are talking about news and since you are reassuring us that all is well at CCP. :-)

Coroner, our marketing manager who usually handles the main page news updates, has been busier than a one-legged man in a butt kicking contest working on some of the same kinds of secret projects I have. Expect to see a windfall of big things happening on the site very soon. And I don't mean that "soonÖ" BS. I mean the "Sincerely, we are about ready to blow the roof off this mutha" soon.

Cool... we going to get Bop Guns in Tech II? That would be funking great.

Quote: Though my official title is community manager, I do much, much more than just community manager-type stuff. I've been working on some secret projects that have kept me otherwise engaged for some time now. Rule of thumb to file away for future reference: if I'm quiet, that's kind of a good sign because it means something big's about to happen.

As far as the current status of things here at CCP goes, what I can tell you is that we are not going broke, we are very close to unveiling some new goodies in-game and here on the website and the live dev chat we're having on Dec. 4th, sponsored by EveGate, will be a chance for everyone to get the scoop on what to expect with the big Tech 2 update that's coming mid-December (if testing continues to go well.)
So, how should we interpret the resent days of "more-than-frequent" posting from u then?
Indeed nice to see u back on the forums again. ........ There is a fine line between gate camping and just standing by a gate, looking like an idiot... |

Quote: Mid December is cool.
If you can't wait a few weeks for the patch then you've got far too much time on your hands.
I would prefer a patch to come out later and have fewer bugs then one to come out now and have a lot.
Besides, if they were to rush a patch out to appease some peoples impatience, they'd only come back on here and whine and moan about all the bugs thats in it.
The irony is whenever someone has asked for a patch update they always say 2-3 weeks ...
But on the flipside I was expecting mid-december when dates like the 21st/24th of November were thrown around.
You left OC, Archon???
From a marketing standpoint it makes sense...kinda. Big content update to catch people during Xmas break.
Long while ago mate, call me ingame
