Edited by: Erwin on 20/12/2006 15:47:26 UNA Recruitment
The UnAssociated (UNA) would like to invite you to take a look at our organization to see if you might find your long term home here with us. If you do not love pvp then I suggest you stop reading any further.
Prologue: Alliances are a powerful yet often frustrating thing about eve. We at UNA know this all to well and have had bad experiences in the past. We offer something different in this regard. An alliance not made up of a group of individual corps, but a family divided only by time zone. Together we form what we believe to be a unique and awesome environment in which to play EVE.
Who we are: UNA is based on already established friendships between the corps under its umbrella. We have fought many wars together and strive to perfect the art of old school pvp combat. We are all corps that put the cohesion of the group above our individual interests. This in turn has shown us that working well together along with great leadership is a very scary thing to your enemy.
The UNA has its roots in Querious. Most of the players under its umbrella all come from the old FIX school of pvp. Through our wars in Syndicate and Geminate, more people have joined our organization. We have grown to include 3 dedicated pvp corps. They are Disciples of the Night, Wreckless Abandon, and Naughty 40. We have all fought together in Geminate, and even at times fought against each other. Out of mutual respect and the love of pvp we have come together and stand behind one goal.
Our Goal: Our goals do not include a region grab, or to build as many capital ships as we can. We are here to advance the art of pvp and to create an alliance where this is paramount. We also strive to foster the bonds we have made between the people in our alliance. This goes above isk and any potential gains we might make as a group. We are all family styled corps. We do not want to grow huge in numbers. We strive to beat the odds and to do so through greater cohesion and skill.
Structure: The major downfall of most alliances is that they grow to quickly or too broad. We have set the total number of corporations in our alliance to a maximum of 6. All corps are the same in nature. Fully based on pvp and well known to each other before coming in and/or splitting from existing corps that have gotten to be too big.
There is one leader that makes decisions and is supported by the other CEOÆs when it comes to advice and decision making. There is no rule by democratic means here. People are listened to, but this does not give them a vote in any form (except to leave in protest). The alliance will grow like a tree, slowly, and pruned from time to time to make sure it is in a healthy state. This process will take a long time and will have our constant vigilance set upon it.
Relations: Relations have always been good within UNA. Since we all agree on the nature of the game and how we want to play it, differences are always minor. We feel that anyone coming into our organization needs to fit into our way of thinking and feel they can grow within the organization both as a pvpr and as a member of the UNA.
Our relations with our friends are identified by others as ôtrustworthy and honestö. We do not start the burning of bridges and we do not forget our friends. This is, however, a game and the friendships we have made have been tested by the changing of the political landscape from time to time. If old friends are on the other side of the battle line they know that we will fire as to not forsake our new friends. This is the way of eve. The true friendships we have made can withstand this with ease.

Edited by: Erwin on 20/12/2006 15:54:16 Edited by: Erwin on 20/12/2006 15:46:01 PVP: We have proven ourselves to those around us. We are not a starter pvp organization. Long histories and experience abound in the corporations that make up UNA. Our excellent and decisive gang leaders are some of the best in the game. Our pvp corporations specialize in roaming gangs. Most of us love to be on the offensive at all times and strive for those memorable (non blob) fights that you remember for a long time. We operate mainly out of point-zero. Our new Killboard might be some help to you.
Recruitment: All recruitment in UNA goes through one gate. Our procedure for selecting people does not differ among the individual corps. If selected as a good potential candidate you will be interviewed by one of the recruiters. If this interview goes well you will eventually be placed in one of our corps depending on which time zone you play in.
Many people have become hesitant in trying out new corps for fear that they will be stuck with another bad decision for along time. Once you have been accepted to join our corp, you will be with us on a trial basis. After a month we will reevaluate everyoneÆs membership and talk with each individual to make sure that they are happy and that the alliance is happy with them.
The alliance recruitment director is Alastorr Frost. If you would like to discuss joining us with someone in your specific time zone or "Frosty"is not available then use the information below.

I've only good things to say about Wreck, they are highly organised both in the direction and organisation of everyday corp matters and even more so in PVP.
They run regular gangs with great success, and are mature and level headed and are great people to have as friends, on top of this even if I was an enemy of the corp I would have nothing but respect for them as their conduct is immaculate.
Great corp leadership, great gang leadership, great corp, highly recommended.

I still remember the first day i left my old alliance for the lack of pvp they offered, that day i joined the great bunch of wreckless abandon and have enjoyed it ever since. The experience of the core members of the corp have expanded my knowledge of pvp by tenfold. The organization and leadership of pvp gangs within the corp has make my stay a pleasant one so far. With one of the best FC's in eve pvp gangs are always stacked with fun and lots of killing. Kudo's to SGB!
Wreckless abandon definatlly has boosted my interest in the game ever since i joined them, UNA is a alliance of corporations who have fought alongside for many times, joining will make sure you get the pvp your looking for!

My corp had not been in the Alliance for long until the first major PvP battle occurred, and what fun it was! Regular roaming gangs ftw! The leaders are great, both regarding PvP competence (and all its branches) and social aspects.
If you like PvP and want to learn it, this is the place to be.

Before joining Asuya (who merged with c6 and became wreckless abandon) my pvp experience was limited to killing noobships in .4.
These guys taught me everything I know about pvp in EVE, they gradually led me to become a gang leader of smaller roaming and camping gangs and now I hold a pretty decent place on our killboards.
So why am I telling you this? Because my experience is that Wreckless Abandon is a place for players to grow, not only as pvp'ers but also into the social structure of a really cool corp with some crazy and cuddly (read: sgb) people.

I can vouch for all the statements made in the first couple of posts. This is for serious pvp people who are tired of the politics. Anyone who has been there seen that done that type players who have been around should take a long hard look here.
Although not a member, I know these folks from top down and can tell you for a fact they dont follow the normal allinace political nightmare methology. I can also attest that those who are putting this together have a solid track record of success. Experience has no equal, and lessons learned are absolutely applied here. Hard core pvp people welcome to mecca.

Spoke with Aueryn in public channel, but figured I would post here as well. I am interested and would appreciate a mail or convo from a recruitment officer. I would love to find out more about you guys. Understand recruitment is on hold currently tho due to war.
Ackaroth Gallente 17.9m sp Can fly pretty much all Gallente ships. Usually I'm in a Dominix, rocking the ogre 2's, but thats because I'm usually ratting. For pvp I like to stay in elite frigs or cruisers, mainly because I don't have a super amount of pvp experience.

I've been in Wreck/UNA (or one of it's predecessors) for a long time now. We have a good group of people, enjoy our pvp and don't like to get too involved in the politics that usually comes with alliances.
Were also looking for more fellow Aussies.
