Today i was running a lvl 4 smuggler interception in lowsec.
Within about 3-4 minutes of starting the mission, i was jumped by 3 fgt roleplayer pirates.
I was in the first level of a deadspace mission. I convod one of them after the fact to ask how they did it, but he was too busy being a fgt roleplayer to tell me anything intelligent.
I can only assume they used scanprobes, but as far as i know it is not possible to scanprobe mission runners in such short time anymore. Actually i was under the impression that it was next to impossible after the last patch....
So does anyone have a clue how this is possible? Do i need to go back to being on high alert at all times in lowsec missions? --------------------

I understood it to be fixed too... but same thing happened to me yesterday. I guess either there's a bug/exploit somewhere, or the fix isn't working all the time.

I lol'd at 'fixed', it's low sec, it's not supposed to be perfectly super safe.
It's had the chance lowered, it's not impossible.

You are correct, this was fixed.
It was fixed as in : it is now harder to locate people in deadspace areas but it is not impossible.
"High Alert in low sec" it is. ___________________________ ~Jiekon

Sigh... thanks for killing mission running for me.
I run missions at times when i cant be on high alert, and theres no place for me to run decent missions in highsec without unbearable lag... so yeah missions are pretty much dead to me now. --------------------

You mean they managed to kill you 3 on 1 with NPCs already attacking you?
Wow, that's serious PvP here. At least you know have the chance to retaliate, your location agent giving accurate location intel in real time and those harcorde PvPers always ready for a good fair fight ____________________ A gentleman is someone who can play the bagpipe, but who does not. |

I dont know why you guys want fair fights in a mmorpg... I dont think that ever has existed in any of them? First person shooters are basically as close to fair you can get, and even those have camping/sniping that isnt "fair". --- Eve Wiki | Eve Tribune | Eve Pirate |

Personally i am not looking for any sort of fights when i run missions. im just looking to make a little isk so that i can go pvp on my other character in real pvp situations (when i say real that definitely doesnt include greifing mission runners so i can pretend to be a Gurstas pirate )
Now if there was anywhere i could go in highsec without rediculous lag i would be there instead of lowsec running missions, but there isnt. --------------------

It's lowsec. Yes, people can find you. It's harder, but it can be done. carebears like this make me cry. Just because you're a mission *****, doesn't mean that you're playing EVE-Offline. You're in lowsec. Get it in your head. You are in lowsec. There's scanprobes. Just because you cried enough that the devs made it harder to find you, doesn't mean people won't find you. As a matter of fact, I know more than a few people who decided to try even harder to find mission runners, just because of the crybabies.

It seems to me no one wants to have to work for anything now. I was doing missions in low sec yesterday and there were 3 pirates in the same system. I had the scanner up and was clicking scan every few seconds.
Lets not start having the game handed to us on a plate please. _______________________________

Thats simply inaccurate. There are tons of agents in high sec, and only the systems with the absolute highest quality are being lagged out sometimes, right? I mean, run a mission for a quality 15 agent instead of a quality 18 one, its not a big deal.
Use Chribbas latest eve-agents to find some nice agents, its easy. :)

Devs PLEASE don't listen to people like this. Lowsec should be dangerous. People that expect their cake (high quality missions) and eat it too (in complete safety) need to adjust their expectations. EVE should not adjust to them.
I don't really care how "lame" the PvP is should you be found on a mission. What people fail to realize is that they are whining all challenge out of the game.
And as far as I'm concerned, probing is still dorked. This chance based nonsense does not make for a good game.

If you want reward without risk you're playing the wrong game. And I don't know where you got this notion that all of high-sec is too laggy to mission in. Hell, I was in Jita recently and the lag was completely bearable.
If anything probing mission runners has been made too hard tbh.
