I am sick of Pend giving me a rookie ship every time my clones ship is lost!
I would like players who have over a certain amount of trade skill points (or maybe Tycoon) to get a swift diplomatic shuttle with good shielding and target breakers when I dock in a pod instead of a rookie ship.
Instead of 1 tritanium I want a cigar in its luxury cargo space.
The diplomat businessmen of EVE negotiate with PEND to get their own private account and re ship options, these are a mark of status among capsules as well as a means of transport should one find themselves docking after suffering the indignity of being blown up on the way from region A to region B to modify orders. Diplomats are tired of warmongers and trolls shooting them. After all businessmen supply them with the very goods and services the criminals just used to blow them up.

Why should this be limited to those with trade skills?
I'm all for a new set of rookie ships, but I feel they should apply with a different criteria. Maybe after a year of playing, you get this option?

I'd be happy to simply not have to trash a rookie ship every time I dock a pod at a station I'm not based in.
EvE is hard. It's harder if you're stupid.
I couldn't have said it better.
Hello, Mr Carebear. Would you like some cheese with that whine?

Technically you do not HAVE to trash a rookie ship. You could just ignore it. I know, I know, that's crazy talk...
Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. So, why do I post here?

I think the game should give out custom ship based on your play history.
Mags would get an anvil shaped ship that had the words "hard core" on the side of it.
I'd get one that looked like a largish rubber bladder with an attached hose device.
I think it would be well worth the time, effort and server upgrades to make many many different rookie ships. |

Over a decade you would end up w/ a rookie ship in top station of way too many systems. |

This wouldn't be that hard to implement. Make them linked to an implant like gold pods. Let people buy the privilege of upgraded rookie ships. Might be a nice feature and easy income generator for CCP. |

Looks like a good idea, to start we can have implants (or any other choice) for the existing rookie ships |

Just think of it as stations you have knocked up?

CCP get enough money IMHO we should not have to buy privileges in New Edan, we should be able to earn them. |

Yea CCP. It's unfair that you give us a 40m long SPACESHIP which has armour and shielding capable of surviving ANTIMATTER artillery rounds being fired at it even before you put any modules on it. Which can travel at significantly FTL speeds. We demand a 200m long spaceship instead.
Actually think about what a 'rookie ship' really is before you complain. |

not associated with implants or we lose our custom rookie ship when we get podded, that's kinda counter productive because loosing a ship and a podding are so closely related.
linking them with a set of skills that reflect play type; explorer, fighter, shipping, tradesman, diplomat, assassin, manufacturer, carebare/miner etc that way we don't have our ship re set to that gawd awful rookie ship we are so sick of seeing.
Can fit into more than one or all play types? can choose any default re ship! |

First of all we/me are not demanding anything, we are asking (or humbly requesting if you will) for different 40m long SPACESHIPS. EVE is about SPACESHIPS, but they put sound into space because it makes it cooler, therefore breaking psychics! because it is a game.
therefore because it is about fun spaceships I am asking they put more types of spaceships into the spaceship game to make it more fun: specifically MORE FUN FOR VETERAN PLAYERS.

Fun? Well here's a fun fact: We have sound in space because they are synthesised sounds being fed into the capsule because early Jove capsuleers needed/wanted sound in order to not get freaked out by complete silence. Therefore, physics are not broken! Extra point, you see the outside of your ship with the aid of camera drones that feed the signal to your capsule.
On topic, having a selectable replacement starter ship would be fun, give it a little style. Especially if you could unlock different types through something like the Opportunities System. I however don't agree with the shuttle idea, because if you lose everything (I know, doesn't happen much, but its a possibility in EVE.) You want something that can shoot some guns. |

Ok well I want the option "turn off simulated space sounds"
By 'shuttle' I mean rookie default ship so fighter would get a ship with two "tech two civilian guns" They reload twice as fast as civilian gateling guns but still do a laughable 7dps only because they have no mining laser, it would be 2 x 7dps as there would be two tech to civ gat cannons firing 14dps -TWICE AS FAST- lol.
I won't lie I want nothing more than a space limousine that is hard to warp scram or lock.
explorers would get a ship with a civilian probe scanner, civilian relic analyzer, civilian data analyzer as default.
logistics would get a ship with a civilian cargo extender instead of gun and a mining laser encase they really have had a bad day.
miners -well derp- would get two mining lasers on a ship that looks surprisingly like a venture only less dps or speed or something. |
