Its been done before, to many players see the frapses guys did in their intys popping bc's and bs's and seem to fink interceptors are mini iwin buttons.

As i have told you in local (after you and your 12 year old buddies gave me plenty of smack) most of us have responsibilities that take precendence over eve online. I have to look after younger brothers and sometimes that means i have to go afk at just the wrong moment. It amusing how far you and your "gpact" buddies will go to try and get one up on your opponents.
edit: yeah i dont give a rats ass if anyone thinks i am making an excuse, i think people who are in the same position/not morons will understand :)

It can happen, I lost a ship becasue I had some mods flashing ready to activate on locking sat afk outside a statio to get the phone.
impairor undocks, new player seeing the flashy red locks me, and receives an instant volley.
My cruiser tanks the sentries for about 5 seconds I come back and im in a pod. Happened month ago but I still laugh about it

if you actually told them that then this post is really lame.
look at the weapon used. wasp I, there is no way that could of hit a ceptor unless the guy was afk or logged. i believe him.

He could very well had to go afk during the attack. Though warping to a safespot would only be like 5 seconds so unless he was warp jammed it's a fishy storry
It's possible too that he had no time to waste starting a warp though. We'll never know for sure, just as always on a forum

I don't understand the big deal? So you destroyed an interceptor in a Covetor, big whoop-de-f******-do. Covetors piloted by people with the proper drone skills, drones, and mods can take out almost anyone in a close range frig.
Having said that, there are a LOT of ships, when properly kitted, that can take out interceptors. This doesn't mean an interceptor is a bad ship to pirate in (though solo is a bit risky.) Nor, do I think, it makes the person you popped an ontologically "bad" pilot. When you fly small frigs solo, often times you are taking a calculated risk.
You are risking your elite frig on the good chance that what you will attack isn't kitted to blow you up. If they are, you know you are dead.
I don't know either one of you, but this is NOT a kill mail I'd brag about. Now if you took down my Domi in your Covetor, that'd be a different story.

Personally, i'd have taken the 2 seconds to at least tell my ship to warp somewhere, but maybe it was an emergency. "stuff" happens.
The real one we should be laughing at is the coveter pilot who was mining alone in low-sec. If the ceptor had popped him, he'd be crying all day about ebil piwats.

He didn't bother to lock them and shoot them. Which shows the pilot couldn't fly. So the topic is really void.
I can understand how hard it is to take down 5 medium drones from a Dommy in a ceptor but yeah a pair of drones from a barge? Should be cake.
