There was no smacktalk prior, during or after the fight by any PAK pilot.

We just did it again, and it was a glorious battle.
Same situation as yesterday, only with about 14 Turby/Serial Chillerz this time vs 25-30 [BRUCE], mainly at a safespot again with various other kills in the same system.
[BRUCE] losses:
evoli rehathe - Dominix Folstrum - Raven Galtan Deus - Dominix Galtan Deus - Pod Gallena Starblade - Dominix Gallena Starblade - Celestis Ghostwolf - Celestis Kalligrapher - Ferox LLamasu Darklighter - Cyclone LLamasu Darklighter - Pod MOJOE MISTIQ - Dominix Rasula - Thorax Reidn - Taranis Ronstein - Megathron RPT Shyne - Abaddon Sathy - Thorax Xavier Nibroc - Caracal Zaphod Bee - Ferox
(There were other kills but so as not to pad our kill list with random missioners only [BRUCE] members are listed)
[TURBY] losses:
Damien Smith - Arazu (only ew ship there, primary had to be someone right?)
I had no pics of the actual fight but a corpmate did. Once I get them I'll post them up for those who are interested. Until then here's one of some of BRUCE's gang grouping up at their pos shortly before the main battle.
Once again we went looking for a decent fight and [BRUCE] came up with the goods.
Good fight [BRUCE].
Sry for the thread hijack btw.

Thanks for the useful education, Damien.
Part of being an alliance comprised heavily of new pilots is that after every fleet battle, we've learned quite a bit we can take into the next one. It's nice being on the bottom of the learning curve, knowing we've got a great deal of improvement ahead of us.
We've got a few new Fleet Commanders who're learning fast, and we're all appreciating the chance to learn large-scale tactics. TURBY is one of the few forces that has been around which is close to an even match for us, that we can come out and face, and actually faces us as well. (So many simply leave...)
Interesting good fun all around. Good hunting to you next time.... unless it's against us.
Now if only I'd have not been stuck out with in-laws both times you guys showed up!

For the record. Even if it was an honest mistake. Even if it was a total accident. Even if it seems like just payment for "smack talk" and general bad-behaviour in local. In my opinion there is no excuse for having two people occur on somebodies killmail for an arranged one-on-one duel and not recompense the victims loss.
Its not about the money. Its not about who died or why. Its about self-respect and precisely honouring your word. Eve is a universe full of villains and scoundrels and back-stabbers and general space scum. But the single combat participant can see a different side to matters and earn the respect of opponents and prove they are made of a finer substance than the baseline mediocrity of the rank and file.
If it was Star Fraction we'd be recompensing his ship and equipment and offering a refight of the duel.
Just my observation.

He hit Kehmour with a single volley of fire just as he was being finished off anyway - he hadn't a hope at this point.
Despite the fact of this pilots unfortunate mistake at the end (yes, mistake, Kehmour was already well into structure and soundy beaten at this stage, so there would have been no point or need for anyone else to get involved, even if we *were* that lame!), Kehmour has not been compensated. The hour long diatribe of smack we endured from his arrival in the system, through the duel to what I hope will be his eventual departure (he's still sitting here proclaiming his general superiority to absolutely everyone) is considered pennance enough on our part. Noone should have to endure this..
If you don't hear from me again, my brain has imploded from local. I think that anyone who has ever actually dealt with BRUCE knows very well how we conduct ourselves - we aren't worried in the least about an innocent mistake that Mr Smacktalk here was always going to blow up It goes without saying that the pilot was made aware of his mistake, and from Kehmours own post you can see that he realises it.
Next time don't honor the 1v1 and make sure you bring a dual sensor boosted stiletto to get the pod. Much more satisfying.

Edited by: KillmAll187 on 31/12/2006 17:17:34 That's been my experience with BRUCE. Bunch of cowards who only engage if they have 10x1 odds or so. I mean c'mon couldnt let a Raven beat a Myrm 1v1? You were gonna win anyways.
Pathetic!
Edit: Dishonoring a 1v1, that corp member should get podded. End of story.

tbh the whole area around aeschee is blob central, and its not just BRUCE. i pirate in aeschee sometimes and havent had any problems from BRUCE - they seem honest enough. turbulent subversion on the other hand are always good for a laugh - i remember one of their blobs (sorry gangs) chasing me around that area before some of their members started challenging me to 1v1s as if i would be stupid enough to accept :)

In our experience BRUCE are incapable of much 1v1, their tactic is entirely to blob. It's a rare thing to catch a wandering BRUCE and not find a surprisingly swift response of six or more (often many, many more).
Hey, that's their thing.
Every time they've managed to kill me it's been 17+ v/ 3 or less. Guess we should not go looking for a fight in their 'home' systems, because they most surely don't come out of them looking for us. -

And Killmall187, I don't remember you personally (you obviously haven't made any impact around here , but our KB suggests that you tried to pirate in the belts in our home system, and allowed your Eos to be jumped by several BS and support. Instead of being sore about it, I recommend you go and learn some tactics - do you expect half the gang to just sit around somewhere else with nothing to do because otherwise you might feel that it was unfair?

He also decided to jump a Machariel supported by a Navy Apocalypse in his Dominix, and then warp in his Deimos right on top of an vindicator (should have fitted a sensor booster for the occation).
During my short "leisurely" stay in Aeschee I have found BRUCE to be quite honorable however, so a small mistake when it was all over anyway should have some compensation, not a total ship refund in my opinion however.
