Help me get good PVP again..Im starting to dream of bpo`s

Ugluuk Caldari Beyond Divinity Inc	Posted - 2006.12.29 02:38:00 - [1] Those who know me dont need an explanation but to those who dont know me this is what i do (did): I loved the solo part of pvp..Guerilla attacks in small gangs..take on 3-4 others to see how well my ship tanked etc etc.. Lately i have gotten LOTS of pvp, but no good fights.. So one day i saw the Myrmdion bpo and i bought it..Then i started to think, wtf is this thing really good for? After lots of very slow explaining i managed to put it into the lab to make bpc babies cause obviously, my minerals wouldn`t be enough for more than the low slots.. While the bpo hump around i came to my sences and tried figuring out what i was suffering from.. I got the "i have lost it" disease.. I cant find good fights anymore..I find pvp but it doesn`t make my heart beat like it used to.. The way Eve has changed with tanking as a big part of the game im ending up outside the system.. SO PEOPLE Help me with some good advices so i dont end up in Naga.. What shall Ugluuk do next? Make BYDI join an alliance? Recruit more? Finally surrender and adapt to how Eve has changed the last 10 patches? Stfu and hide? I need to get the good feeling back and wanna know what other Eve pilots find fun these days and then try some of it.. Beyond Divinity Inc - Giving the community what it dont want

Some good, some bad, different none the less. What we used to have in BYDI, i dont think u can recreate that. U can try, u can be paritially successful but in the end you will get bored, ****ed off, then either take a long break or leave eve. Christofer's suggestion is good, moving does help somewhat for a while but its a temporary solution rather then parmanent. Only suggestion I have is adapt and evolve.

Or you could join up with an alliance and perhaps find a purpose in fighting, like defending territory or fighting to take it. Get into some nice fleet fights. Most of us are still outlaws because instead of ratting we spend most of our time fighting the alliances in the area, true hit and run tactics. Its always hard to make sure that you don't get blobbed but thats part of the fun of it all. I'd give that a try if all else fails. I never think of the future - It comes soon enough

The first two are easier to fix than the last. If it's the last, apparently doing it LIVE ON TV seems to bring the rush back. I read a similar post before, those peeps were looking for same sized/minded corps,and throw warecs on eachother, as I figured it out almost like a turnbased system. All in the name of having good fun fights. If there¦s a will there¦s a way. My second thought of this, would be roaming, were others dont go so much, new regions, deep into contested space. No bigger idea go to "AlmostEmpire", wich would incl all the bigger alliances space. Then you will get blobbed in approx 10-60 seconds. I get fights..All the time..But it`s not like before when i could come in a BS and know that another Bs is the biggest i could meet.. The problem nowadays is that i expect to be ganked when i fight..Like yesterday.. Myrmidon vs Brutix and Crusader.. Scanned no one else around and thought, can kill him fast then run.. Afterall i had 6x heavy ion2 and 5x berserker2 so the dmg output is decent..But i became the victim of tanking.. I just managed to kill the brutix before the Hyperion and Dominix that came to help him got me.. But just so it is said..The brutix pilot was damn good and the fight amused me alot.. The sad part is: I knew i was gonna die so the best fun i had was to eject my cap charges, pick up the brutix loot before i died and see that it all got blown up on my deathmail.. I saw many comments on 0.0 and we have gone in there 5-6 times lately but we are a small corp and not too bothered about isk making and cant really put up much of a fight without doing it guerilla.. Works for 30-40 min and then we are trapped with dictor bubbles and massive gangs defending their home.. Damn people have been way too good at defending.. I guess my pvp style stopped when bigger ships than bs was introduced to Eve.. anyways, this post has really given me things to think about.. Lots of great input and just keep it coming.. Almost forgot..I soon have a CNR which will be thrown into battle as any other ship i have..Now that could be fun stuff..HEHE Beyond Divinity Inc - Giving the community what it dont want

I haven't had such a good fight for a long, long time, since I killed a T2 fitted Crow in T1 fitted Vengeance :) That been said, there are good fights, you just have to wait a bit.
