PvE: Raven. Does missions fast, effeciently, and can choose damage type. PvP: Dominix. DomiNOS and drone-pwnage.

Raven wins missions hands down.
PvP, I'd say tempest. Good in both small gangs and fleets. Solo too.

PVP - Armageddon - topping a killmail with a T1 setup is priceless.
Missions - Raven - 100% damage type selection means most NPCs might as well structure tank.

Oh, BIG surprise. The majority of ships mentioned are: - missile + shield tank ships - NOS ships
Except for the minority who mentioned things like the Tempest and Typhoon - and most of these people are already very good with their ships, have no ego problem with avoiding fights with overpowered ships, and are dedicated to their enjoyment of certain ships. My respect to them.

PVE raven easily PvP is harder, for fleet the rohk, for ganks raven, it has ok damage plus strong tank, for medium gang work, geddon all the way, best isk for the buck. It outputs a huge amount of damage, has very nice tracking turrets, with tracking comps it can fire effectively at short to medium range so your fleet commander knows your dps is always on target, it can carry a good amount of rep drones to support people, the list goes on. In medium sized gang warfare, ou can't tank the damage if you are called primary, but you can with rep drone supprt, stay alive long to enough to make a difference. remeber, every volley that goes to you, is not hitting a gangmate. the 10% racial resist bonus to explosive is nice also.

pvp geddon (huge dmg vs price) and can shine in fleets and also in short range mission raven ratting dominix (you dont need ammo big cargo and can still be able to have 1vs1 even fitted for npc) my 2 cents

Nobody but ammar does em damage against armor though. Everybody and there mother has the ability to throw explosive damage at armor though, and often does. Omni tanking means that explosive is still the lowest resist on armor. So which is better, super resist on something that a few people shoots at, or good resist on something that everybody shoots at? (almost all ships either have a dronebay, or some missle hard points)
