Exactly why are there no audit logs for POS to see who takes what and who puts in what? I think it should be implemented.
Sorry if this has been brought up before, but I did infact use the search-button to look for similar topics regarding POS.

Something should be done.
Either POS hangar logs, some way to lock your own ship (I never leave my car unlocked in my work garage...) or both.

I cant agree more. In addition its a bit unfair on corp's that the member audit section of corp managment dosnt show you exacly what a member takes from a hanger.
Means everything has to be put in audit cans.
CCP.. i know it wouldnt be too hard for you to do this, every corp wants it.
In addition can you set some function so corp's can limit the amount each person can take from the hangers per day, to avoid full hanger swipes?

Though i must add that the logs won't prevent thefts, will only help to show who the thief is. You can't petition after your hangar's cleaned out by a treacherous member. If thefts weren't a part of the game, wrecks and cans would only be accessable by owners.
Still a good idea, to detect overuse and abuses by corp members.

Agreed that it won't prevent theft m8, but it will pinpoint the problem instead of blaming a handful of inviduals that are probably innocent, and totally wrecking the flufiness in a corp. It will also free up more time for Alliance mining in Jita.

I could see this being implemented quite easily for the actual towers.
Possibly gui fix:
Make a "Logs" tab under the towers control menu.
Each item in the POS that can hold any type of unit of volume should have it's name under that log. (Also possibly numbering or option to name silos both on screen and under the control menu)
To the side of each item would be an expand arrow (like moon surveying is setup currently) so that the logs would be stored for which item recieved action (name of item) at such time (19:46:00), on such date(1-18-07), by whom (SpaceSlag), and for what type of action was taken (input/output).
For example:
Three people go to refuel/refit a POS.
Person A refuels the tower creating a logged items under the tower part of the log menu of what items were taken or put into the POS tower cargo hold.
Person B offlines 1 of 2 corp hangar arrays and unanchors it. - The offlined action would be held under the hangar actions, but the unanchoring would be held under the tower actions.
Person C anchors a ship maintenance array at the POS. - The anchoring action would be held under the tower actions, but the onlining of the array would be the first item under the "Ship Maintenance Array" item under the log main screen.
If a dev or GM likes this idea or would like to talk to me further, please evemail me with your thoughts/questions.

Its bad enough that anyone can have an alt. Its even worse that accounts can be traded so that you don't really know if that old buddy really is him....but have no logs as well.
Makes no sense, current system needs to be improved. Its not WoW, we are meant to have complex accurate tools of the future to hand

Its incredible that there is a sticky about corp theft prevention and yet one of the easiest way to track it is audit logs for POS's.
No it won't stop it but the amount of rows within a corp would be dramatically reduced.

The sad thing is that there apparently ARE logs, but players can't access them. Not only that, but at least half the GMs don't seem to understand that the logs can only be viewed by them. I had a petition a while back where several GMs kept telling me to check the logs, as if I had access.

There are of course logs of everything. Even if you fart ingame it'll be logged, it's just a matter of CCP being stubborn and don't realize the importance of listening to their customers (bad marketing error there CCP).

i dont care if it doesnt stop them but being able to see sho it was :P, current corp members are very respectfull and honest but also know if my guns lock they have around 1/4th of a second to make a deal to pay it back. i just love tracking corp members so free and easy :P
