So, since Ollo was flamed so far that now he probably tastes like boot, I would like to point out a new, uhmmm, coincidence that has occured.
I am prepared for the flames, you have to be once you join this alliance.
But sit down for this, for Leto is about to tell you a story:
A few systems away from Bhizheba there was a group (note: group does not mean blob, rather a few or a couple would be closer to the truth) of Privateers, doing their stuff. Ganking, yarring and generally bumping and shooting stuff. One had a glorius idea, and that idea included a pipe, some ships and tents.
Into Tash-Murkon we go, me gaily typing along to the glorious lyrics of Tenacious D. 'Light up the stage, 'cuz it's time for a showdown.' Little did I know what fate those words would bring me.
In Tash-Murkon there were CVA, they put up good fights. Into Bhizheba we went. There was one little red box with a star in it, and he was not at our gate. One person was sent to check the stations and we waited at Tash-Murkon gate, to hopefully snag some CVA coming through. None did and the station report came back as clear.
One person was left to watch the Tash gate, made sense since there were war-targets in Tash-Murkon, and we were hungry for corpses (BTW, where are our x-mas presents CCP? I want to shoot some corpses!). The rest warped to the Amarr gate. Lo and behold there was a shiny Thorax with drones deployed. We had firepower enough, or so we though to destroy this lonely Thorax.
Engaged as we were we still noticed that the local was rising, and the Privateer on the Tash gate noticed it as well, and said no one had come through his side. The group (couple) of us who had engaged the Thorax were a hefty 500m from the Amarr gate. Oooh, no activation here.
By now the local reds had risen from one to eight. Weird. And then we same reds come screaming towards us. They had warped in, just as they showed up in local. Could it be?
Login trap.
So, Leto is about to name and shame these individuals.
AXE. Sorry guys. Apparently blobs just don't cut it anymore?
Ollo was right, population of EVE-O, we have the killboards to prove it. And the thought processes. We Privateers pick our fights, and three or four vs eight just isn't one we would choose.
On a good note, the Thorax popped, two of us survived. Bad news, thorax dropped crappy loot, and I can't use the drones.

Not quite. Different systems means different things. Also his could have been, this one was.
Also much better grammar, spelling, etc.
Annnnnd shows that if his was, that means they do it consistently. Didn't people used to not like RA for the same thing?

There are about 3 other gates IIRC in bhizheba.
How do you know they didn't JUMP IN and warp?
Do you have axiom in your address books? Are you paying attention if they log in and out? Or are you just assuming?

There are in fact 5 gates like he says above, so...... How do you know they didn't jump in and warp to you? Might even be a very short warp between gates?

Total of five in that system.
And address books are a pointless exercise when you just made all of Empire 0.0 for yourself.
I have no opinion on this, except to say there are inevitably lamers on all sides of any war, and pointing the finger at someone only makes things worse when your own side lets you down later.

I still use my adressbook for hostiles.... pointless to some because of local, but I use mine to get an idea of how many people are online, and a general idea about how many people an enemy fleet can muster up if needed.

I'm betting you guys weren't watching the Romi gate. It's a common mistake b/c a lot of ships travel between Tash and Amarr, but going through Romi is the direct route to Jita from Tash.

Fraps or STFU. Consistently outfoxing your scouts in systems with 5 gates is not grounds to shout "logonski!" every time it happens.

From what i can gather, you park ships in a place, bait a trap, watch with cov-ops talking through teamspeak, then logon when the bait is taken, and win.
This is condonable how ? Warning: May contain flaming, trolling, swearing, typos, crimes against grammar, obscure reference to old films, in jokes, rambling, ranting and references to EvE. |

nah tbh the 2 ships i lost to axe using this i havent petititioned ill take the loss on the chin yes we were outsmarted by CVA and AXE with their creative use of ts and logging in still reckon if youre not in a mission and u log out then in within 2 minutes or even normally u should be dropped up to 4 au away from youre last point and have a 1 minute cant warp time.
But this should also be concurrent with if u log out while aggroed or in a bubble that u are logged back in at the exact point where u left.
This will fix the logging out to avoid being killed bit and a 30 minute stay in space if u are aggroed or in a bubble. ( will fix RA and others like em again)

So you're saying that AXE & CVA cooperated on a login trap to kill 3-4 of your ships? Or is it just that AXE somehow knew you would be in Bhizheba and all logged off there waiting for your "fleet" to show up?

no seperate events the axe losses were up near jita earlier in the day. CVA losses i wasnt involved in but they were logging in and off a lot near bhiz as i listened over alliance channel
so yes other privateers are now watching and naming and shaming as they occour.
Please read my posts i should have said they were seperate incidents. But there u go should clarify things for u

Ollo, you're just being stupid. No one is doing log-on traps in empire. Especially not CVA or Axe.
You're just trying to think of excuses as your alliance seems to be performing quite badly against anyone who can fight back. Screaming of logonski when you have zero idea how it has been used shows that.
There's no need for anyone to use log-on tactics on any situation that you have described. They just jumped in from different gate, and warped in. If the gates are close enough, it won't take long.
Well, now that you have succeeded in destroying any credibility that Privateers might have had in some point, I wish you nice fighting. Seems I have to move out from 0.0 back to empire at some point to kill you guys.

again)
Firstly although extermly lame login traps are not at this time classifed as an exploit so petetioning it would get you know where.
Secondly in neither thread have you even shown any proof that login traps even took place. Only that you clearly don't understand the method of bait and people jumping into the system.

are log in traps legal yes are they lame yes have CVA and AXE used them yes ( adding names to buddy list and seeing them all log in within 20 seconds of each other and appare on top of the gate) priceless do privateers take losses yes do we petition most dont we have fun we dont mind the losses and despite the chest thumping there are a lot of kills to do we run away from blobs ( aka pick our own fights sure we do) so do cva 3 of their pilots ran away from us just after dt and dockted at station when we had 8 in local
do we care no we went and pawned some FIX and oxide guy that were nearby i logged out to go to bed after that and the bhiz thing occoured a bit after that.
are we having fun and making a profit generally yes.
is privateers full of spies that still get involved and shoot other alliances that their mains hate sure
are we signing up more pirate corps all the time ( surreptitious being CEO is the one to contact) just going on what im hearing yes we are
excluding griefing fellow privateers are we allowed to post on the forums sure
are we respected by the highly structured greedy 0.0 alliances that continue to run missions in empire - probably not
are our killboards accurate mostly yes im one that posts all losses and kills moreso for my own records and self review but also to help keep an accurate picture
i also encourage privateers to post their own killlosses why because we are more about fun and profit than seriousness regarding rankings etc
if some guy losses 20 ships but gets 10 kills but has fun in the process do we care no we just say bad luck offer some advice and move on
are log in traps lame yeah they are but are used by those that take heavy losses and cant run a logged in gang without getting scared.
Privateer members i think are now watching and gathering evidence to name and shame expect more threads to appear as evidence is gathered its all part of the bob type propaganda and naming and shaming lamers as it occours

LOL. So.. what your saying is that before your first OP the other day about AXE you had them on buddy list and watched them log in and appear on the gate? Funny that you didn't mention that the first time you posted it.
If you didn't have them in your buddy list then, and you weren't involved in the second alleged incident then you have no bloody clue that they logged on and appeared at the gate as you JUSt said you were asleep.
If you are going to keep these idiotic accusations going then at least keep your story straight. Better yet just own up to the fact your getting your arses spanked by the people your war deccing.

CVA does put up very good fights, and I, myself, don't think they use logon.
Admittedly, no, there was no one on the Romi gate. And I might've made a mistake, admittedly. But there are generally people in that pipe that would call out a blob like that.
Also with the size of the ships unless they all had inertia stabs and nanofibers, good luck trying to get a BS to warp from Romi to Amarr in the span of the few parts of seconds it takes local to update.
As well as try getting most of the gang there, at the same time. Usually there is (with the current state of EVE) session change in progress lags, black screens of death, etc.

I have to thank Privateer alliance for keep Axe's name in the public eye. As I have stated before, Axe doesn't use login traps. Our pilots do login, they do bait, they do chase, sometimes they die, sometimes they win but mostly, we just try to have fun.
After a very draining war with -A-, chasing Privateers around and generally having fun is what we need right now and I thank Goonies and Privateers for providing us with some targets (altho my experiences with both parties has been minimal as they are either docked or logging by the time I get on to play).
(Now for a little self-promotion plug ) Having fun and rebuilding Axe is what this time is all about. DDC is actively recruiting new pilots and corps to Axe. So if your interested in some fun, like shooting Privateers and making them whine about Loginski traps, look us up. We are always interested in eager young pilots lookin to shoot things.

I am not sure the exact proper way to post chat logs, but I have one with an AXE member. He said all I need to know, and that maybe Steel and you non-believer might want to have a chat with some of the AXE members. This AXE member that I talked to was very honourable and was going to clear the system of AXE for us to 1 v 1 or even 2 v 1 (two of us, one of him).

So what happened to your whole name and shame? You supposedly have an admitted loginski player in Axe, but your protecting his identity? Well, I have it on good authority because I saw a Privateer in local talking to a roid that Privateers are nothing more than ISS alts who are fustrated with IAC Or maybe they are BoB alts, like the rest of us as another Privateer stated to my BoB alt in a conversation I can't disclose here because I don't want Molle to know Cyvok is my alt.
Please, you guys are being stupid with this whole thing. Does every single Axe member not practice loginski tricks? Probably not. But this type of action is not condoned by me and if I find a person doing it with absolute proof, not just someone's alt talkin to an alt who heard from his brothers alt that his father is playing on, which he let his dog use for the nite, then that Axe member will most likely be booted in very short order, unless of course it was his alt that his brother let the cat use that nite.
Bottomline, prove to me that Axe is doing this or stop with the smear campaign. You have show neither me nor Eve in general that Axe is doing anything but fighting you guys 100% fair and honorable.

Please, you smear a whole alliance with your accusations but 1 guy is worth your protection, especially if it furthers your goals to continue to smear the alliance and of course, protect your alt so you can continue to retrieve valuable intel about the Axe loggin trappers no doubt.

I could say the same thing, I was in Sirpala earlier, engaged a lone privateer and within 20 seconds 4-5 more showed up from another system, however im not stupid enough to come here and scream login trap.

do we care no we went and pawned some FIX and oxide guy that were nearby i logged out to go to bed after that and the bhiz thing occoured a bit after that.
are we having fun and making a profit generally yes.
is privateers full of spies that still get involved and shoot other alliances that their mains hate sure
are we signing up more pirate corps all the time ( surreptitious being CEO is the one to contact) just going on what im hearing yes we are
excluding griefing fellow privateers are we allowed to post on the forums sure
are we respected by the highly structured greedy 0.0 alliances that continue to run missions in empire - probably not
are our killboards accurate mostly yes im one that posts all losses and kills moreso for my own records and self review but also to help keep an accurate picture
i also encourage privateers to post their own killlosses why because we are more about fun and profit than seriousness regarding rankings etc
if some guy losses 20 ships but gets 10 kills but has fun in the process do we care no we just say bad luck offer some advice and move on
are log in traps lame yeah they are but are used by those that take heavy losses and cant run a logged in gang without getting scared.
Privateer members i think are now watching and gathering evidence to name and shame expect more threads to appear as evidence is gathered its all part of the bob type propaganda and naming and shaming lamers as it occours
I don't no about Axe, but i know CVA dont use login trap's ive had a long history off fighting these guy's and there a gd bunch of pvper's i highly doubt there using login trap's m8

Edited by: Keorythe on 04/01/2007 03:14:18 I know the incident you are talking about. The ships that "magically" appeared did so at a gate that one of your people were watching. That person was within 10km from the ships that jumped in and bypassed because there were bigger ships to fry...literally. And yes many were ****ed about being outrun by that Claymore with an MWD who got away.
The log on's and off's were due to players having their overview bugged in lag fest Jita (namely red negatives showing as red star war dec's when they weren't) and trying to fix it by logging. The bugged overview caused the losses of 3 ships from "concordking" and was considered a serious issue. Not a single incident occurred where someone logged in on top of another player to fight.
Gratz on that ASCN hauler kill though

You had 2 of 5 gates covered, took some cheap bait, got ganked, and to quote:
"Admittedly, no, there was no one on the Romi gate. And I might've made a mistake, admittedly. But there are generally people in that pipe that would call out a blob like that."
You feel justified in this libel on the grounds that 'there are generally people in that pipe?' Whatever have you been smoking? gtfo my internets
PS: I can only locate ONE SINGLE privateer loss to axe in the system Bhizebha, from both AXE and PRVTR killboards, since Jan 1. And that's odd, because we're total killmail *****s, they're normally posted inside of 5 minutes
EDIT: This alleged thorax kill is nowhere to be found on either killboard, either. The last kills in Bhizheba from prvtr were on the 1st, a caracal, thrasher, griffin, and kestrel. You wouldn't just be making things up, now would you?

The downside of the Privateers is the lack of the usage of one KB, we post them all over the place and generally they are hard to track down. I will attempt to find it, though. Shouldn't be that difficult, just need to search my alt's name.
Also, please explain the very quick warpage for BSes, without a full set of istabs, from different directions <2 seconds after appearing in local of a system with a fast update on the local, due to lack of inhabitants.
To the person who wants FRAPS, buy me a new (probably external) harddrive, so I can FRAPS every second I am on EVE, without filling up the rest of my harddrive. = )! Ty.

CVA and log in traps? Thats just plain bullship. From my own encounters, they just know how to trap / bait and counter as any decent pirate will. Makes them interesting and dangerous to fight in low sec Empire.

Please explain how you don't feel like a fool posting this after admitting you not only didn't have all gates covered, but very well may have been mistaken. A low traffic system, such as Bhiz, is not a logical place for a log in trap anyway. Hell, empire itself is not a logical place for log in traps, there are too many stations and alternate routes for it to be at all plausible.

I don't feel like a fool for the sole reason that I am itching to post the chatlog, but if I do so and omit the name you will then claim that it is faked. But without me posting it you wont admit to the use of login tactics.
I talked to the guy immediately after I ran into Tash Murkon, away from the blob that somehow warped from many directions, almost the same time and much quicker than it would've taken to warp to Romi, of course unless they all had istabs, which I mentioned earlier.
I admit to possibly being mistaken because of the counter points given. But I doubt I am, for the points I have given, and the conversation I had with a soon to be ex-AXE member.

I still haven't heard a good explanation of why the hell we would have set up our UBAR SECRT L0G1N TRP!!!!!1111! on some random gate in Bhiz.

When I realized I omitted it, I made 'Doh' sound, smacked my forehead, etc. And I refuse to edit the OP, otherwise it will look like I have changed my opinion, removed something, etc.
Next, calling someone poor is uncalled for. Rather, I think my funds would be better used elsewhere, than purchasing a new HDD. Also I tried to outline the foolishness of frapsing every moment in EvE.
And to another poster, I also wonder why you would set login traps at all, you guys seem fairly adept. But you do. And perhaps it was to get some easy kills with few losses.
I was one of the two who survived. So I am not crying about losing anything. I take every loss as it comes.
There are also posts on our forums (get your spies to check, we know they are there) about it.
Bhizheba looks to be like a good congregation point for AXE. We see their blobs all the time in Amarr, and surrounding systems, a good place as any to congregate is in a lagless system (not Ashab, Amarr, Chaven, Tash, Sarum Prime (on the occaision) and such).
Edited to make this clear: I never claimed any other alliance did this, CVA included (in the non-login trapping).

First Off - Axe is way to busy running all around space killing and being killed atm to sit in empire and wait for you guys to show up to log on and gank you.
Second Off - Would a log on trap in empire even work, maybe my log on is longer than others in empire, near Jita even worse. But logging in even 5 people same time to show up at the same gate together would almost be impossible in empire i would think.
Third Off - I am out of things to say, I am kinda ticked the CCP lets these guys post the same post after post like this about the same thing with no proof, no nothing, but thats CCP for you.

1) No we sure don't, and you have yet to furnish a rational basis for this accusation. Put up or shut up. 2) We get easy kills with few losses regardless, if there's to be a 'winner' of this mindless little war we're ahead not only in total ship kills, but isk value destroyed as well. And by no small margin.
As for the Bhiz and surrounding area, there's a very good reason you'll often see larger AXE gangs there: We also have an active war with goonswarm. And what are the goons famous for? You guessed it, overwhelming numbers. if you don't like getting ganked by 'blobs' (see my posts in the other logonski thread for my thoughts on alleged blobbing, in fact I'll save you the searching: Linkage) maybe you should try looking for haulers somewhere we don't need to operate in large groups.

I don't beleive your use (or non-use, as it were) of WCS ever came into question here. But I am kind of tired so it's possible I missed that argument.
Anyway, we're here for fun, it's a game, logging out of game to gank a bunch of gankers that attacked a lone thorax they outnumbered (omgblobzorz!) isn't how we do things. Hopefully the irony of you crying about blobbing when attacking a solo ship with a gang, and then getting worked, has not gone overlooked. I know you prefer to call it a 'group,' but since the killmail cannot be located, nor any of your lossmails, and you haven't given any factual information on this incident, we don't really know it wasn't a blob now do we?
EDIT: For those of you getting tired of reading at this point in the thread, allow me to summarize.
Originally by: Leto Twin we were trying to blob a thorax, and axe h4xploited to defeat our blob. it was ok when we tried to gang bang a thorax, but not ok when you outnumbered us by a ratio less than our original ratio against the thorax. oh, and i have no proof of any of this.

In my time in the Privateers I've not seen a PRVTR blob.
This topic was based around the login/offs of the members of AXE, not their blobs. I believe my 'whine' was of the login/offs of AXE. Of course, not so much a whine, as I lost nothing and therefore nothing to whine about, as much as another name and shame.

Bhizeba is a fairly small system, meaning they would arrive within 30 seconds of the jump in, if that.

Speaking of strange tactics, I was just wondering why AXE have now started ganking members of ASCN?
Didn't we try to help you with your AAA problem and weren't we all supposed to be great mates? If you want fights then fine, though as you may have noticed we are a bit preoccupied atm, but ganking people who have you set to +10 is a bit lame no?
Which part of AXE is Resetting ALL Standings, Friends and Foes alike, to 0.0 on Jan 1, 2007, didn't you understand? Everyone else seemed to get the memo when Axe left Impass. I think thats over 2 weeks of notice of a standings change. Not like I suddenly dropped a rock on your head and said SURPRISE! YOUR NOT BLUE ANYMORE!
But to make ya feel better: SURPRISE! YOUR NOT BLUE ANYMORE!
Normally these resets are more like "a reset except for all the people we were friends with, oh and those five others". Oh well.
Glad now i spent those evening in 68ft trying to help you guys out. Still i look forward to ganking you repeatedly in the future.
Therein lies the difference between Xetic and non-Xetic.

What nights in 68ft? I seriously don't think I ever saw you in 68. I know cause if I had I would have been asking to join the -A- gangs to shoot you.

I brought a large ASCN gang down when you were trying (and failing) to take down the main AAA POS in 68ft, we even got the titan lined up to come in and were trying to get our dread fleet together as you could not manage to get a single one online, I was also there the following evening where I lost a megathron to AAA, and funnily enough I never saw you, or any other leads there either other than Kezz.
And yes, you would need to join a AAA gang to have any chance.

That, uh, wouldn't be much of a reset, now would it?

TBH ASCN calling anyone a failure is kinda like the kettle calling the pot black. Think I have that saying right. Just like half ASCN that left that shoots us when we helped defend AZN in the Iron / G war. Or just like we helped defend PS in the BoB war when you failed. Guess what mate, it happens you move on and learn from it. What I think Axe learned (This is from me not actualy SteelRat) is that all the friends in the world do you no good except make the game boring. In the past week I have had more fun not worrying about who I can and cant shoot than I have had in Eve in a long time. I miss some of the 100+ fleets, but we will get those again I am sure as well when we decide on our new home.

How do you know they didn't JUMP IN and warp?
Do you have axiom in your address books? Are you paying attention if they log in and out? Or are you just assuming?
Total of five in that system.
And address books are a pointless exercise when you just made all of Empire 0.0 for yourself.
I have no opinion on this, except to say there are inevitably lamers on all sides of any war, and pointing the finger at someone only makes things worse when your own side lets you down later.
I still use my adressbook for hostiles.... pointless to some because of local, but I use mine to get an idea of how many people are online, and a general idea about how many people an enemy fleet can muster up if needed.
but we have almost 40 active alliance wars and i dont want my buddylist to look as my old bookmark list did

15000 + names god no ive just got my list down to 40-50 old time and new contacts that i speak to often.
we have standings displayed in local for a reason now tho id like to see local totally removed to make war more dangerous and fun only finding youre prey when u land on top of em
All posts made by myself represent my personal opinion only - they do not represent the rest of the privateer alliacne unless they decide to agree with what im saying

Which research agent has the Tech II Tin Foil hat as a predictable? Are Privateers selling that module to raise their isk?

I remember that Tenfingers guy was there in a BS to help us alot. He even helped us run the gatecamp throughout the night. I went to bed around an hour before DT. I awoke to something like. "AAA overran the Gatecamp, Get to the POS!" I was like..oh ****. But I think that was they day we finally got their POS. Oh well GOOD TIMES!!!!
