Futile Zombie Privateers Privateer Alliance	Posted - 2007.01.05 10:04:00 - [151] Personally I like to think of Privateers as an annoyance....bit like a wasp buzzing around you that stings you every now and again. I dont think its fair to say we only gank haulers though. We certainly like doing that...who doesn't like free loot drops. I am sure most people, if given the opportunity, would gank an enemy hauler. But we certainly engage combat ships, and more often that haulers and miners. I'm not going to say look at the killboard as everyone knows how inaccurate those things are. Privateers the new m0o? Certainly not. I'm definately no great PVPer. But what Privateers allows, is people like me to have fun PVPing in a very relaxed style, with no rules. For this I am grateful and long may Privateers continue.

Convo me. I'll get in a shuttle, you get in a shuttle, we'll meet an agreed location, ALONE, you fire up fraps, i log off at a gate, log back in, measure. No funny business, no ganking, just two shuttles meeting and then going our seperate ways.

The vast majority of us fit 20km scramblers, warping directly to the gate puts one in scram range of everything and web range of most, and provides an escape route should things go poorly and the ability to instantly give chase should the target jump. being right on the gate so no matter what you're in range is the logical place to try and put yourself. So no, a smart person would not setup a trap over 20km away from the fight. A smart person would have a ganksquad waiting on the backside of the gate that then jumps in, "magically appearing" some 15km from gate. The same smart people apparently do it with such resounding success that the targets keep popping up on the forums screaming log in trap based on pure conjecture and misinformation. EDIT: You're barely 3 weeks old. You're going to have to try a lot harder than that to convince the veterans you're attempting to gank that you saw them do a log in trap. We've been doing this PVP thing since before you even heard of eve.

I would like to point our that we are a loosely organised group of individual pilots, some dont firty dirty on principle ( not me), all have their own style of play. We have no offical PR machine, no rules about posting on the KB and each pilot is left up to their own devices and are allowed to express their own opions. flame Ollos posts all you want, it doesnt bother the rest of us. The wisest amoung you would be viewing each member of Privs and each corp under our allaince banner individualy. Dont generalise the Privateer corp - its not your using your usual corp template. Sorted.

I somehow managed to run their gatecamp, and I had a m0o pilot chase me over 29 jumps to try and kill me. I got into empire, and sat on the gate. The m0o pilot jumped in and killed me, and got concorded in the process. I sent them an evemail asking wtf? and they told me that nobody gets away from m0o. That's how I remember m0o. You guys aren't even remotely in the same hemisphere. Nothing against you personally, but to get respect you have to do something worthy of respect.

It can be fun just to log in and go harass any one of our 30 war dec'd targets even some profits u could do it for fun or for training.
