On Saturday the 6th of December a Privateer scout reported gate camps in the system of Jeni in the Kor-Azor region.
When asked about details the scout mentioned among other a Moros class drednought and a Nidhoggur class Carrier.
These news set things in motion for the still few but brave Privateers in the region, whom quickly amassed 2 dreadnoughts of their own to counter the pirates whom in their own device continued to camp in the system though jumping the capital ships about.
The battle group from Privateers waited for the opportune moment and struck hard... the battle raged on while waiting for the hostile capital ships to engage in the frenzy... then came the order "Carrier aggresed pop the cyno" and almost in an instant the friendly 'dreads' jumped in and honed their guns onto the unsuspecting carrier.
Only moments later the enemy dread came in to aid his fellow comrades, but at the sight of the sheer numbers arrayed against them decided this to be a futile venture and as promptly as he had arrived he fled the scene again.
The carrier was grasping for straws. He could not jump, as the keen Privateers were using several warp scramblers to disrupt his warp fields and the gate officials would not let him pass, saying his ship was simply to large for the travel. Even his mighty fighters seemed to do no damage at all against which ever target he send them after. After what must have seemed like hours, the carriers tank succumbed to the fire and slowly, but surely the Nidhoggur christened "Big Boy" was taken apart by the fire of the Privateer dreads and cruisers.
I write this to you to state that Privateers have reached another milestone. We have officially brought a hostile Capital class vessel to its knees for the first time in our own history.
This kill was for all Privateers. The forgotten, the precent and those to come.

it would be more epic if 2 dreadnaught capitals werent involved in taking down 1 capital with minimal offensive capability.
now if it was a load of battleships nailing a carrier, id be reading with interest.

So let me get this straight,
you jumped into a carrier with hugely superior numbers and firepower, and you managed to kill what just 1 carrier?
wow, you guys are the new superpower of EVE.
seriously though, this forum is cluttered enough with out 50 threads from empire hugging griefers that have no content. If everyone who killed 1 carrier wrote a thread about it then your post would already be about 5 pages deep.
do all the real alliance members a favour and restrict your posts to general discussion thread which is where they belong.

Guys, you need to relax a little. 0.0 had Goonfleet, Empire has Privateers. The former had the exact same reaction and now they are accepted as part of EVE. Not liked, but they persist, and people are having to deal with it. Privateers will go the same way too, if we keep up the momentum.
If some people flying the ticker killed a capital ship, let the newbies celebrate, even if they do look daft doing so. And however obnoxious some of our members get, bear in mind that through our Empire warring we are doing the game a favour. None of you want Empire to stay the god-mode safe haven that it is. It just pains you that the people with the greatest opportunity to do something about it, are not a big-name corp you can subsequently respect.
