Due to considerable investment in ISS projects and the Drop of ISS shares due to the wars.
Combined with the inability to sell ISS shares in the last month due to the ISSO IPO
EMFI is looking at being unable to pay dividends for several months if you guys keep killing ISS.

ISS might aswell be dead for all the resistance they have shown so far.

I had hoped nobody was up to the hilt in ISS. I've never considered it stable.
Good luck though, if anyone can pull out of it, its EMFi

EMFI has alot (I had none in case anyone cared), but even if its worth NOTHING they can still recover in a few months.

well tbh, I don't really care.. my biggest shareholders are hitting ISS and they are the ones hurt.. AATP is doing really well though :)
The ISSO IPO really hurt as well since I couldn't pull out when I wanted to becuase everyone was buying ISSO shares.
But if this is what the public wants.. Then it is what they get..
I predict EMFI shares crashing.. I will buy them up at bottom values till I have NAV back over 10k I guess... and then we can continue to play ball..

I'm still waiting to hear from ISS on what's going to happen with Cassini shareholders.
It looks very bad for us that had a lot of money invested in ISS (in this case Cassini)

I like how nobodies like IMP jump on the bandwagon and start chest-thumping.
If D2, AAA, Goonfleet, IAC, YouWhat, Sparta and everyone else decides to gangbang you, what happens to IMP? They get squashed like a bug, with no resistance. IAC did nothing when they were blobbed, and neither would you. That's the point of blobbing.
It's also a lie. ISS is doing what it can, which can't be much.

if ALL ISS outposts tank, it will take 20months of no dividends for EMFI to recover.. I can probably reduce this by half becuase people will cash out (which means I will buy back EMFI at bottom prices with the isk I have) if only ISSCA dies (unlikely) and doesn't reimburse anything, or get taken back it will take 2-3 months of no dividends to recover.
At the end of the day, this is what people are doing, many shareholders are attacking ISS, I assume EMFI or ISS shareholders.

Hmmmm, i wonder why you have to run these "no profit" months ? i mean, why don't you just keep paying dividends from what you've still got ? It will be less ,but it will still be dividends.

Because of the business model of EMFI, we pay dividends of the value of the corp over 100bil.
if the value drops to 90bil for example.. it will take a few months to reach 100bil again.
Another option would be to "revaluate" EMFI to 5k/share and pay profit over the ammount over 5k/share (for example)
Anything like this would require a major vote (and more clarity what really is happening with the ISS shares, because the values are all over the place)
I think it is safe to say that for at least a few months EMFI will be below 100bil, even if AATP picks up in a major way.

Honestly, it sounds like bad management for a mutual fund to be so weighted to one stock.......

if you consider how secure stocks are in eve, it isn't a bad idea at the time. i'm not an investor, but i'm pretty sure you could have seen where she was investing stocks in. not saying a word for months than talking about what a bad idea it was when things go sour isn't a good idea.

Nice answer..........care to re-assure us the investors a little more ? or is someone going to get REAL rich real soon ?
We didn't invest in 1 stock.. but if the whole eve is going to gank every public corp they can.. a mutual fund won't make much profit now would it?
I never said you invested in one stock, what I am questioning is the judgement that led to being so heavily invested in ISS that this would have such a major impact. A mutual funds stability is based upon diversity of its hooldings, which, in this case seems prretty minimal.

Sorry, he is not in D2 or any other alliance. And I notice you convienantly decided not to respond to my question about someone getting real rich real soon, was that to close a question ? If you must know, my main was Lowenthall, which has been deleted, but you can look him up if you wish, before I deleted lowenthall, I transfered all his shares/assets to this char. Any why did I do that, because for almost 6months Lowenthall was inactive while I was away on military duty, thank you.
When I cam back I decided to make a new char and this is it.
Now, I was sitting in the EMFI channel, asking if anyone is around, no one answeres......so you want to talk....meet ya there.

I know EMFi's worth. And long before you consider buying up your own shares they will have been purchased.
As for the ISS thing, I dont make Policy decisions for Sparta. But I think that Selene started the ball rolling for the fall of ISS actually. When she started posting war stories she would say things like "So we started moving our assets to friendly outposts in the region" - yeah, they were talking about ISS.
Now people knew that ISS was a staging ground for Mercs, Pirates and Scum - but it had never been flaunted before.
I think thats what started things rolling.
Either way dont worry EMFI. Your not going anywhere, especially with that nice set of ZERO.

Nope...not in the channel, as I am there now. and again, what REAL answers have we had to any questions besides I will try to work it out.
I am sorry to me a promise of "I will try to work it out" is not answer.
Look at it this way, An announcement has been made that dividends will be on hold for possibly between 2 and 20months. No reason at all has been given for that number, its just a number.
Have we been promised updates on how things are improving dduring that time ?
Has there been any answers as to why a mnutual fund which advertised itself as being diversified was so heavily invested in one stock as to have this much effect ?
Has there been any posted plan to recover from this ?
Has there been or will there be any of the above ?
