Many people fly a destroyer the wrong way and immediately come to the conclusion that they are not worth the trouble to fly. The reality is that the destroyer can be an extremely powerful and fearsome foe. A well run destroyer flown by a skilled pilot can kill a tech 2 interceptor one on one. A well run destroyer is extremely effective at gate camping and locking down space, able to get the signal resolution over 1800 with the proper fitting. In a destroyer pack, a fleet of 15 destroyers would strike fear into the heart of any battleship pilot with the brains to back up his firepower. In this class you will learn the ins and outs of destroyers. You will learn how to fit them to be effective in a 1 vs. 1 situation as well as how to set up a destroyer for gate camping and wolf packing. You will learn how to maximize the strengths of destroyers, namely their firepower, and reduce the impact of their weaknesses of speed and fragility. Destroyers are the specialty and favorite ship of the instructor and I will show you how to get the most out of yours. You will also learn how to use warp disruption bubbles and advanced tactics that employ the use of bookmarks. This is an advanced level course with prerequisites. It builds upon the knowledge you acquired in PVP-BASIC and takes you to the next level of skill in PvP Operations. You will learn all sorts of tactics and tricks when flying in light ships of all kinds. This is a long awaited course and should be a ton of fun. After completing this course you will be able to fly both a frigate and destroyer very well in PvP and be extremely effective with a few of your friends. Isnt it time you learned how to fight back?

As a side note, I love the skeptics, they make great targets and often learn the very hard way. Ill take my 15 destroyers vs your Domi any day. If you want set up the battle and AGONY will be there. Isnt it time you learned how to fight back?

I guarantee that a competent Domi pilot could obliterate an improperly trained destroyer fleet. Fortunately we train them properly. Its not just a matter of getting in the dessy, mounting some guns and a point. There is a lot more to it and that is what we teach our pilots. Your comments are very uneducated and I will refer you to those that fight AGONY consistently. They rarely underestimate us anymore. Bigger guns wont win the day. More skillpoints wont win the day. Training (training the player), education, leadership and courage win the day. The vast majority of AGONY pilots have under 10 million skill points and are some of the most respected PvPers amoung those we fight. Ever seen a Merlin destroy a Crow? Ever seen a Rifter solo a Harpy and an Ares at the same time? All that isnt skill points, its player skill. We turn newbies into powerful fighting soldiers and remove their fears of both carebears and people like you. Quite frankly, agony calls pilots like you "Pinyatas". We hit them hard enough and lots of candy comes flying out. You better check your arrogance at the door or learn the hard way. Isnt it time you learned how to fight back?

So basically what you are saying is that 15 destroyers will own a battleship? I don't even know what to say to that ... You dont believe? Its amazing how many people have so little faith. You dont need millions of skillpoints or millions of ISK in hardware. If you dont believe that I suggest you watch that movie. Isnt it time you learned how to fight back?

It depends really. 10 untrained frig pilots would probably have a BS wipe the floor with them. 10 well trained frig pilots would fry the BS wihtout casualties. If you think PvP in eve is an ISK, Skillpoint or Number of ships war then you are very wrong. Isnt it time you learned how to fight back?

As always, we would like to remind you that you are free to come fly with us an time. As RuleoftheBone pointed out, we don't have a problem helping you rat to get course funds. As a final note to this post, I wanted to discuss the "pirate" ways and "just go do it" theories espoused by Karlemgne. Although you could learn to be a lawyer eventually on your own just by reading books, we go to schools to train. The reason is simple, the instructors have the experience to guide us around the mistakes and to show us where the pitfalls are. So as it is with Eve. As many students have said, the small amount of isk you invest with us pays back many times over in ships NOT lost to stupid mistakes we can guide you around. Pirates like Karlemgne definitely dont want the aveage miner/hauler/industrialist to be trained in pvp. If they start chasing him off for a change then his business of mayhem goes south. Furthermore, assuming Karlemgne is a super duper PvPer, he has an obviously huge ego which is one thing that will get you killed fast in pvp. Finally, he is trying to show you that he knows a huge amount of knowledge about pvp but the reality is he doesnt. Piracy is an easy way of life. The only difficuly is to find the targets. When you warp in with your ship against a guy mining, how much resistance can he possibly put up? Ratters are similarly disadvantaged to someone set up for pvp. Setting up a ship for ratting and for pvp are vastly different. Take for example the case where the ratter is fighting Serpentis rats. He is tanked high on kinetic and thermal. The pirate outfits EMP and the guy melts. This is just one of many facets that are important to remember. So we can see that shooting at people that are neither prepared nor trained to protect themselves is not especially difficult. Therefore, most pirates have very limited skill in pvp which is reflected by their "its just the setup" and "its just a blob" or "its just f1 through f8" attitudes. The reality is that when you go up against people in 0.0 who are prepared and willing to fight back, the situation gets quite a bit more dicey. There is always an elemnt of luck to be sure, but the highly skilled pilot will, over time, win far more than they lose. These skills include things far beyond what you will learn in basic and wolfpacks but those courses form the foundation. When you put a well trained organization against a bunch of pirates, the result is invariably a slaughter of pirates. Agony pilots have become so well trained that many interceptor pilots will decline to engage one of our tech 1 frigates 1 on 1. Those who have fought us many times rarely underestimate us. As for the "blob", a blob to this guy is when you dont show up in something that they can shoot down without effort. Pirates will chide you when your fleet hits them and taunt you to fly your cruiser into the face of their tech 2 fitted battleship, caling you a coward if you dont engage. You must learn to forget all of them. Analyze the tactical situation and use the tactic that is appropriate at the time and place. Who cares what the sour grapes opponent calls you. If he thinks yo uare a stupid blob, how stupid was he to sit on the gate without intel on the other side? Tactics is not charging blindly into the cannons of the enemy. Fly with your brains and not your balls and the pirates will have very bad days. As for teaching 1v1 tactics, we simply havent gotten around to it. A 1v1 against a skilled opponent (this means all of pirac is excluded) takes a significant amount of skill. We simply dont teach that right now for any number of reasons, such as manpower, time, security concerns and so on. Isnt it time you learned how to fight back?
