Edited by: Excesse on 09/01/2007 17:26:18 I believe the suggestion being made is that ISS will be UNABLE to retake the outposts in future, considering the latest standpoints of their "friends" (which they had to buy, incidentally) who did all the fighting on ISS's behalf back when ISS thought they could shoot up IAC without any repercussions.
For those catching up on the 'politics' of all of this, it's perhaps worth highlighting that ISS weren't able to "pro-actively defend" (using ISS's own terminology there) themselves and the main thrust of the attack which resulted in the F4 outpost being taken was made by MC/LV/FIX et al, with token cheering from ISS in the grandstand.
Regardless - good job IAC.

The two Northern outposts fell, and so did Marginis, to numbers that an alliance like ISS could not hope to match.
ZXIC (Tycho) also was seiged, however we've restored that particular station, although a TCF large POS is present. That said we were able to hold ZXIC because only IAC, some Goons and IMP tried to stop us recharging the shields of the POS, rather than the full hostile coalition who are a bit busy elsewhere. We were only outnumbered once, and that wasn't for long enough.
This will continue for a while I guess. The fights last night were actually fun though, rather than a total blob fest.

yeah that was the first encounter in zxic where we picked some of your guys off with ceptor raids, shame the lag from drones was so much though, as you can see in the fraps.
Then there was a much bigger battleship engagement, we jumped our BS fleet into zxic and your guys ran, then doubled back and jumped out of ZX, then after chasing for about 3 systems your guys stopped on a gate and again deployed drones, making ubar lag festival of 2007 :D... still you ran again and we decided to loot this time, nice fights, but please, try not so much drones >< the server, she cannot take it! ______________________________________

Hehe, was that when we took the bubble down and were moving back to base after saving the pos's. Not quite running.
edit and you use drones to kill ceptors, imagine us not deploying drones against all those ceptors

All I can see on the ISS Fraps is lots of red dying and warping .... maybe you have a IAC edited forum copy. Its nice to see fair fights when you haven't got IAC/GOONS/AAA/SOD in mass blobs.

Edited by: Halafian on 09/01/2007 18:21:07 Well, I wasn't there, but from what I see on the boards, in the middle of all that running away and drone lag exploiting, ISS successfully restored its POS's in ZXIC and inflicted nearly 2-1 damage on IAC and friends, both in ship kills and isk value.
Not a bad night's work. Sorry I missed it. Good job ISS. Sounds like a good time was had by all.

that 2 - 1 ratio depends on how you value things, also, the modules at that offline POS and 18(ish) dead fighters doesn't get reported on any kill mail. Furthermore, many of ISS's kills were aginst an IMP gang that jumped in early from KDF, into the ISS bubble camp.

ISS will cease smack posting in this thread. The simple fact is that we won a battle, however we usually chase off their inty fleets.
It is the first time they've brought out the battleships and not pasted us, which was nice :)
Lets not get into isk measuring. The shareholders have taken quite a hammering from losing these stations, and I don't think they really want to hear about this.

you are right that f4 is not taken back yet on the map, but this is due to the way sovereignty works in revelations, its takes 5 days to take sov (2 days left now i think) before we can take the station in f4 again. the ISS have had less pos claiming sov in f4 since the initial attack on friday night/saturday morning. ______________________________________

I don't see where you got that from? My view of it is that the backstabbing ISS did time and time again, and the nonexisting control of ISS pilots is what have brought it to this, alongside with Count's nose up in the air.
And, yes, I'mm entitled to write about this, as I was a member of IAC a long time, and was a member when some of those backstabbings occured.
Two sides of the same coin. Those who see ISS as positioning their outposts where it will make the most profit for shareholders, and/or most convenient for passing traffic. And those who see ISS as putting the outpost too close to their borders, and/or the enemy using it as a staging post. I believe both viewpoints have been seen by both sides, in the case of more than one outpost.
Unfortunately for ISS, they cannot simply move their outpost out of the way when an alliance grows.
Edit: Ouch, hadn't realised ISS had lost both northern stations.
