I really hope CCP will make you rob some floors!
Good for you am not your boss
I said IF. How would I know what they really feel? All I know is that I would be sick of all the whining in these forums, and I see a lot of really unjustified treatment of the ccp staff. People whine for every little thing and dont care at all about the people who have to read it. We all make mistakes. There is absolutely no reason to insult the devs, the company or anyone else just to get your point across. Saying they should be fired is way out of line too. If you read my post, you see how I managed to tell them how I felt about this without being a real jerk (I hope). Why cant everybody? There are real people behind these cartoon characters. Dont forget that.
Im a major fan of this game. I like the devs a lot. I tell them my opinions while still being considerate of their feelings (at least I try). I really dont see why everybody dont treat them with respect even when you disagree. I really dont.

I think the bolded part indicates why some people have different attitudes than yours. Fans tend to take everything in good faith (i.e. automatically assume what CCP says is the actual truth) while those of us that are just customers and not fans tend to always read 'the bottom line' to everything CCP does and naturally assume we are not being told (all of the) truth. Having said that, I agree that there are limits and that calling people morons or asking for them to be fired is beyond those limits.
It is important to remember that CCP is a fast growing company and not a single person. The devs that post here answer to somebody else and no matter how good their intentons are there are a lot of things that thay do not have control of, including how they allocate their time and what they are allowed to tell us. ________________

Originally by: Sharkbait I will clear up alittle here... ...we have been experiencing proxy server deaths, which is something very new with Revelations. It only happens when the proxy servers are under a lot of load,
so i spoke to Valar and asked him when he needed to do some database maintenance so i could do the stress test at the same time. All we needed really was people to log in and test anything, just basically load the proxy servers tbh.
But today i had to go out of the office and in a rush i forgot to ask the people that update SISI to change the needed settings so you could connect with your TQ client. Which resulted in a lot of people patching up to a version of the client that is not compatable with Tranquility. For this i can only apologize.
Flame away
Listen, I'm devoted to this game and am more than happy to help out whenever I can.
I tried to get on during the stress test but couldn't and was concerned that I'd actually done something wrong. It would have been really helpful for someone on the day to have just posted to say it's gone wrong and we could all have got on with our lives. That really would have saved me a lot of wasted time.
Anyway, still happy to help out if you need to do this again. |

You're right Jim, I was rude by calling anyone here a moron, I strike that one word from my post above. I wonder though am I wrong in having pretty low expectations at this point?
