Can anyone confirm this?
Im hearing Rumours of Omega corp selling out and going to join Curse, with the intent of wiping MASS/EV out in particular.
I hear this is due to several systems that were specified as mining for certain leading PvP corps been recalled by the carebear leaders.
Several SA corps have reputedly asked for help from CA/FA in the upcoming Civil war.
Yes im an alt, but im a member of the FA, who would not dislike Stain to go down in flames
And yes, as soon as my contact gets on line i'll have certain evidence to back this up with |

Well, by saying that you reveal that you are absolutely not a ranking member of the FA.
There is an article at www.eveguardian.com that explains it all.
I feel sorry for OC, but things are as they are, so...
But, we're growing stronger. And I think CA can verify that

Here's a brief history of what lead up to what is currently going on in Stain. I'll let my CEO make his post as to what is actually happening now and in the future with OC since all this has gone down. I will add though that we feel completely betrayed by the SA. We were told history doesn't mean anything in our arguement to keep at least part of our territory. Our response was; History doesn't mean anything to those that weren't part of it, namely those that stripped us of our territory.
OC / SA HISTORY
In the “early days” Omega Corp came to Stain in search of a home. We found that Interstellar Elite, a corp we had known and previously fought side by side with was now a founder of the Stain Alliance. SA consisted of 3 primary corps… IE, The Collective and MASS. After some talks, Omega Corp joined the Stain Alliance, claimed and settled into our territory consisting of 3 constellations in the rear of Stain.
Our territory was untamed and had rogues and pirates including m0o frequently operating there. We began military operations to secure our new home. We also invited our old ally Solar Wind to come and join us. We convinced them of the abundance of the area and offered them 1 of our 3 constellations as their home. We sponsored them and they became SA members as well.
Much to our dismay the SA were loath to initiate hostilities against m0o (the remaining pirates of our territory) and allowed m0o to roam as it pleased throughout Stain. Omega Corp fought against m0o with assistance from a Solar Wind officer named Thirdstorm and drove m0o out of our home.
OC sent war fleets to every call to arms of the SA. Omega Corp was a dedicated and committed member of the SA by anyone’s standards. OC had always been primarily focused on military tactics and strategy. We believe that Omega Corp has always been a primary asset in the strength of SA.
EV comes to Stain Everlasting Vendetta was granted a hunting pass but soon was found to have a large mining operation within OC territory. We rallied forces to launch an assault on the poachers and informed the SA council of what was about to occur. IE intervened speaking with EV and announced that EV would now become a member of SA and was given a territory in another area of Stain. We of OC did not like this since we felt EV had already shown their true nature but the deal had already been made.
Over the next couple months two more incidents of EV illegally mining in our territory occurred. One was claimed to be a mistake by some uniformed members (although an officer was present). The other incident was when a small 4 man corp we shared our territory with merged with EV. They tried claiming that the acquisition of these 3 members gave them mining rights to our territory but the SA council ruled against them and they were told to return to their own territory. The bad blood was well sown in these days and relations between our corps were tense.
SA Politics In time, several more corps were brought into the SA without votes of existing members and with little or no probationary periods to prove themselves. Approximately 2 months ago EV began a political initiative to “redistrict” all territory in stain to divide it equally among the SA corps. OC protested on the basis that not all corps were contributing equally to the SA military needs and therefore equal territory was not justified. Our protests fell on deaf ears as the newer corps unanimously voted for the redistricting.
Being outvoted and still wanting to remain a “good member” of the SA, Omega Corp offered to relinquish 8 of the 10 systems in our territory. We also clearly designated our 2 primary HQ systems as not available for redistricting.
The Ultimatum
On 11-26-03 the SA Council decided that OC would not be allowed to retain our 2 HQ’s and offered 1 HQ and a different system of their choosing. Heated arguments went on for hours and the SA council gave OC one week to decide as they put it, “to accept the decision or leave Stain by choice or by force”.
Solar Wind our oldest ally was present and backed the SA against OC even after we pointed out that the redistricting map drawn up by EV gave EV 3 HQ stations in their territory with the rest of the constellation designated as “shared”. In effect giving EV an entire constellation while the rest of the SA were 10-30 jumps away. Apparently our offer of 8 of our 10 systems was not good enough and were blind to the EV biased map.
So here we find ourselves in this situation...more info is to come.

Nice one sided story of the situation Korath. Of course I do not expect you to be unbiased, it still makes a laugh a little. Contrary to what you may beleive, I did respect Omega. Did you forget EV gave you what you wanted in hopes of peace? The rest of the Corporations felt that you did not deserve it guess. Funny that...

Kid... dont kid yourself. I actually didnt think that it was biased, though I will admit my judgement could be clouded. At this point all the sneaky, devious crap you guys pulled would make anyone lose a little objectivity. Fact is, you guys got careless, got caught and now feel "betrayed" cuz things didnt go your way.

Yet another example of the whole problem right there- why is EV giving out anything? A nice demonstration of EVs attitude in uh blue and white.

Secondly you can't give something to someone who already owns it.
And while I'm at it, belt count was a stupid way to redraw the map to begin with. Gee I wonder who's idea was it to do it that way? Hmm lets think, probably the corp who ended up with a whole constellation. Omega Corp Advertisement

Edited by: Centuri on 04/12/2003 00:50:17 Lol, nice bestower kill guys
The fact is OC has "earned" the territory we have. We gave 80% of our territory for the good of the alliance and in return requested that we keep two of our HQs. Considering that OC did almost ALL the offenisve sorties on Curse I think we have earned those systems. The only thing EV do all day is camped HED or DSS and run when the usual CA force comes to oust them. OC commited serious assets to the war effort while other SA corps were busy spending all their cash on BPOs and whatnot. I personally have spent a considerable amount of time in Curse and have NEVER seen any other SA corp in there other than OC. Most of the corps, and I emphasise most, not all, are a bunch of freeloaders. The SA council let's any ol' tard into the SA now and they get exactly the same territory as every other member even though they've done ***k all for the alliance.
I'm glad you guys don't think of this as a serious civil war, you just hired in Evolution to paint in the lines of the proposed EV map? Lol.
You guys managed to camp OC territory all of 2 hours I think, after which Solar Wind have been on the run all night so far.

Maybe if you knew of the background on the situation you wouldnt sound so daft to current SA members. Old Farts CEO Greyhound was given the duty to draw the map. He quit, so then the question was posed: "Who would do it?" No one responded, so EV decided we would do it. We scouted all the systems out and spent many hours trying to create the most equal map possible. Belt count is the only way to make sure all bistot spawns were evenly distributed. Obviously at this point anyone can see that OC was not in favor of equality. Equality wasnt the demand of EV, it was the decision of the SA Council.
In regards to EV ending up with a whole constellation, again you show your ignorance. You did not take the time, or Specter did not show you the bylaws of the new map. EV has no more bistot belts than anyone else. It is funny that we bend over backwards trying to divide up the belts evenly among SA members, all the while not trying to make anyone move around. Many corps, including OC, pleaded not to be moved. So EV moves instead and you are criticizing us for our move?
Really what it boils down to is OC tried to get more than their fair share. All their claims of "it was ours to begin with" are the result of their greed with bistot. Why were they even in the SA if they didnt want to share? Once equality was forced on them by the SA Council, they resort to threatening the Council with war. When we call their bluff they back down and agree to the Councils terms. Unfortunately, they got careless and intelligence networks from a number of SA corporations reported OC plotting to betray SA. But its all EV's fault right? I agree that their is bad blood between the two corporations, but the difference between EV and OC is that OC takes it personal while EV tries to solve problems. So please, get off your high horse and fight or get the hell out.

Edited by: Centuri on 04/12/2003 01:03:16 Yes, the map was done sneakily, EV have no more bistot systems than anyone else, but on the proposed map EV is TOTALLY cordoned off from the rest of SA by a stretch of "shared" mining systems, which effectively put EV 30-40 jumps away from everyone else in SA. No doubt EV will have these "shared" systems that are conviently placed around EV territory raped in a few days making them useless to anyone.

Check with your CEO, Omega did approve of the map. The problem was the rest of the SA council got tired of OC taking advantage of everyone and the SA declared war on OC.
I am not here to forever debate this with you though. If you lack the proper information to make an objective argument, then I am done.

Lol, yes OC was taking "advantage" of everyone. OC spending billions on SAs wars, much more than any other corp in SA is taking "advantage". Only time I ever see EV fighting CA is in the weekly DSS camp where we all gather around the sun and fry marshmallows till the bad CA people go away.
The only SA corps I see activaly fighting CA are MASS and a few of the smaller corps, the rest are freeloaders and use the "equality" line way too much. Equality does not equal fair, my good sir.

Actually, I didn't run out of the grid, and yes I did run 60 or so kms, range is pretty important when you are using a limited amount of dampeners. I could have mwd'd away from your fofs all day if I had wanted to, and no I was not set up for caldari. Your skills are lacking my friend.

Omega Corporation:
Its sad to see you leave, but the alliance needs changes and changes are being done. It is through your own non-compliance that you find yourself in this current situation. I hope that you resolve this quickly by negotiating a ceasefire and leaving stain and finding a new home. I hope you will not side with Curse as that would go against the principles you fought for while in this alliance.
Taken from the May 29th 2003 Devchat at EveGate . <Muaddid> Q: When will sentry gun and station and similar construction pods be introduced on the market? <Hellmar> we have various player owned entities already implemented. Sentry guns, power/shield generators, field repair mini-stations, mobile refineries. We are still working out the last tidbits of how they can be over taken, what is the penalty of having a sentry gun kill a n00b etc. and we have been a bit busy with plugging the holes that people have found.I would say that you'd start to see these items on the market in about 2-3 weeks, very expensive to begin with |
