OC / SA HISTORY
In the ôearly daysö Omega Corp came to Stain in search of a home. We found that Interstellar Elite, a corp we had known and previously fought side by side with was now a founder of the Stain Alliance. SA consisted of 3 primary corpsà IE, The Collective and MASS. After some talks, Omega Corp joined the Stain Alliance, claimed and settled into our territory consisting of 3 constellations in the rear of Stain.
Our territory was untamed and had rogues and pirates including m0o frequently operating there. We began military operations to secure our new home. We also invited our old ally Solar Wind to come and join us. We convinced them of the abundance of the area and offered them 1 of our 3 constellations as their home. We sponsored them and they became SA members as well.
Much to our dismay the SA were loath to initiate hostilities against m0o (the remaining pirates of our territory) and allowed m0o to roam as it pleased throughout Stain. Omega Corp fought against m0o with assistance from a Solar Wind officer named Thirdstorm and drove m0o out of our home.
OC sent war fleets to every call to arms of the SA. Omega Corp was a dedicated and committed member of the SA by anyoneÆs standards. OC had always been primarily focused on military tactics and strategy. We believe that Omega Corp has always been a primary asset in the strength of SA.
EV comes to Stain Everlasting Vendetta was granted a hunting pass but soon was found to have a large mining operation within OC territory. We rallied forces to launch an assault on the poachers and informed the SA council of what was about to occur. IE intervened speaking with EV and announced that EV would now become a member of SA and was given a territory in another area of Stain. We of OC did not like this since we felt EV had already shown their true nature but the deal had already been made.
Over the next couple months two more incidents of EV illegally mining in our territory occurred. One was claimed to be a mistake by some uniformed members (although an officer was present). The other incident was when a small 4 man corp we shared our territory with merged with EV. They tried claiming that the acquisition of these 3 members gave them mining rights to our territory but the SA council ruled against them and they were told to return to their own territory. The bad blood was well sown in these days and relations between our corps were tense.
SA Politics In time, several more corps were brought into the SA without votes of existing members and with little or no probationary periods to prove themselves. Approximately 2 months ago EV began a political initiative to ôredistrictö all territory in stain to divide it equally among the SA corps. OC protested on the basis that not all corps were contributing equally to the SA military needs and therefore equal territory was not justified. Our protests fell on deaf ears as the newer corps unanimously voted for the redistricting.
Being outvoted and still wanting to remain a ôgood memberö of the SA, Omega Corp offered to relinquish 8 of the 10 systems in our territory. We also clearly designated our 2 primary HQ systems as not available for redistricting.
The Ultimatum
On 11-26-03 the SA Council decided that OC would not be allowed to retain our 2 HQÆs and offered 1 HQ and a different system of their choosing. Heated arguments went on for hours and the SA council gave OC one week to decide as they put it, ôto accept the decision or leave Stain by choice or by forceö.
Solar Wind our oldest ally was present and backed the EV against OC even after we pointed out that the redistricting map drawn up by EV gave EV 3 HQ stations in their territory with the rest of the constellation designated as ôsharedö. In effect giving EV an entire constellation while the rest of the SA were 10-30 jumps away. Apparently our offer of 8 of our 10 systems was not good enough and the SA corps were blind to the EV biased map.
Our Decision Omega Corp firmly believes our offer was more than generous. We feel betrayed by our old allies Solar Wind. One corp, MASS voiced in OCÆs favor and that was appreciated. Our decision is to not allow EV and its cronies to force OC out of Stain. We have fought hard for SA since the moment we arrived and have well earned out territory. We do not intend to simply walk away.

War Declaration OC declares war on Everlasting Vendetta and Solar Wind.
OC withdraws its previous offer to surrender 8 of the 10 systems.
In the light of Solar Winds betrayal, OC reclaims itÆs 3rd constellation (WULNA) formerly given to Solar Wind by OC.
OC declares the RPS-OK system as the OC border and violation of that border will be considered an act of war.
OC requests that any SA corps that wish to remain neutral should contact Specter, declare their neutrality and remain beyond the RPS-OK system until the war is resolved.
SA corps that initiate open hostilities against Omega Corp will be placed on a KOS list and will be subject to guerilla raids anywhere in Stain. We are making an effort to separate traitors emboldened by EV from the corps that simply fear being ejected from stain by a Council that has been manipulated by EV.
CA / OC cease fire offered. As we believe weÆve been betrayed by those we called ôfriendsö, OC will no longer fight the SA war against CA. Omega Corp formally offers CA a cease fire between OC and CA. OC has ceased hostile operations against CA and will continue to honor that as a show of good faith as long as hostilities are not initiated against OC.
Accusations EV has accused us of plotting against EV and MASS. We challenge them to show one instance of OC saying anything but good about MASS. EV has proven their colors since they arrived in Stain and the hatred between our corps has been mutual. MASS on the other hand have always been good allies and we have never had any issues with them or their members.
Conclusion. Omega Corp believes we have done everything to avoid this situation with the exception of complete submission to what we deem as unreasonable demands. OC is prepared to fight to our last breath against the mob rule tyranny that has swept over the SA spearheaded by EV. We do not believe this will be a short war although we are confident in our military capability to cause great harm to the SA corps that attempt to do harm to Omega Corp. We fully understand that the OC territory will be breached on many occasions but we vow to make this war extremely costly to those that attack OC. We firmly believe that the SA cannot afford this war and it has the potential to destroy the SA.

First 24 hours of the war:
EV launches a sneak attack under the guise of a peace agreement reached with the SA Council 2 hours prior. 1 OC Indy and 1 OC Megathron are destroyed.
OC withdraws to assess the situation and decides to only attack SA corps that initiate hostilities aganst OC. We understand this position gives any SA corp that intends to wage war a beginning advantage we are willing to make that sacrifice in an effort to spare corps bearing no hostile intentions being drawn into a war they do not desire.
The first OC raids result in 1 EV Apoc and 1 SW Dom being destroyed. Our raids will increase in frequency and intensity as time goes on and more corps become targets by their own actions.

I for one cannot believe this matter could not be settled diplomatically. The Stain Alliance has always been known for its integrity and stability. Surely some settlement or compromise could have been reached to accomodate Omega's concerns, but it appears that I am wrong. It also now appears that Stain is taking the path of Venal...if Omega wishes to shatter all that we have fought and died for here in Stain...then so be it. I for one shall answer the call to arms.

Edited by: Korath on 04/12/2003 20:11:03 Well it's obvious EV has inserted a mole into our corp. Will be nice to find out who it is. The question here is how long has this mole been with us? Obviously since before war was declared on us when we were still allies just waiting for the chance to use something against us. Funny how an "ally" starts planting moles into corps they're supposed to be working with and not against. With friends like these, who needs enemeis right? Regardless of all kinds of useful information, the use of 'moles' is lower than low in my opinion. Perhaps the rest of the SA should carefully go over their rosters, maybe EV has a mole in your corp as well. Go ahead EV, play your tapes, I'm sure its out of context. Maybe I should post the chat we all had in the CEO channel last week when you guys kept bashing us for 4 hours strait. That should give everyone all kinds of dirt to read in addition to your tapes.

In my eyes, it looks like EV dont care if a civil-war in SA will tare it apart, just aslong as they get to bust OC ball$.
OC however was going to give up 8/10 systems and thereby keeping 2 and we surely dont like the idÚa of SA getting ripped apart by this war, but we had no choise in the matter.

It will be interesting to see what kind of proof is presented.. It doesnt matter if it came from a mole or not, if it did, then OC Command should be more careful with plotting against allies infront of members... (if thats whats presented)
Im just wondering with all this testosterone filled warshouting and asskissing from CA forces if OC will drop their honour and accept help from the pirate forces they used to fight against...

Think about this TRIGGER.
Appearently EV planted a mole inside Omega along time ago, possibly planning for this all along. What kind of "allied" places a mole inside a friendly Corp, and for what reason.
And have you ever tought about that EV might have a mole in MASS , waiting for the exact same situation .
I seriosly hope that the Council will do a re-vote - for the Stain Alliance sake.
Omega Corp had NO whatsoever plans on going to war with EV or SWC 1 week ago, and we have not recived any new members since this "war" broke out - that meens that EV must have placed their mole inside OC long before this was accured.
So i ask again.
Can you trust a Corp that puts Moles inside an Allied Corps ranks .
NO

What I don't understand is why SA would vote on something that was supposed to "balance" the ownership of systems with stations and/or bistot belts if everyone in SA was not willing to give up their systems to be re distributed. Was it for every corp to have only one system with a station in it and the rest as shared stations/belts? If this was the plan, then that would mean that everyone, MASS, EV, SW, R-I etc.. everyone would have to agree to these even terms.
All I am seeing is supposedly everything in Stain was balanced accept for OC? OC was the "only" corp in stain that had more than one station? I haven't seen this "map" that EV drew out and how they decided to "evenly" divide everything up among the SA corps. All I am seeing is OC getting pushed out because EV doesn't like them.
Right now all I can imagine is EV doing a

Long story short, we had 29 bistot producing belts in our 2 systems, the rest of the alliance had anywhere from 16-22 bistot producing belts. We also had a station in both our systems. Some other corps had to go a whopping 1 jump to get from a bistot producing belt to a station. We had already given up 8 bistot producing systems.
It's not even about the bistot for us at this point but apparently it is for everyone else. We refused to roll over after we fought for months through 3 wars to secure this area only to have it stripped away from us. It's the principle of the thing. When the roid spawn is fixed (hopefully with the patch this month) it won't even freakin matter who has how many belts. So here we are at war because we wouldn't roll over.

When we broke of from the CA after a membership drop out we decided to join a more peacfull alliance.
During this time we sorted out any enmities between us stain and curse alliances. We had a nap with stain and a nap with curse.
Out of both of them the Stainers kept on shooting our ships, those who shot our ships were EV. All my other encounters with SA corps were always good except with EV so i have little to no respect for EV at all.
Other SA corps i haven't had any goings with except mass. MASS showed the signs of some intelligent people thus they have an incling of an idea.
While i dont wanna drag the CA into this to much. Due to some mix ups with things that wern't supposed to happen we were lightly accused of being spies for the CFS and probably SA as well by a few people in the CA. Through all that they still didn't shoot our ships or cause trouble.
Thus my overall assesment is EV do as they please to suit there means. Good luck OC i tend to agree with you.

Temerlyn, what has happend was probably due to orders of STK and Xetic being enemies (this was before I joined). If any of your ships have been destroyed recently, have you contacted Civil Deity or any other high ranking member of the corporation?
EV is in no way "doing what it wants" and "manipulating" the alliance. I'm sure you can see the staggering oppisition we have against the CA. Unlike the CA the SA has not actively sought out new member corporations and since the beggining of the conflict we have basically stayed the same. What is happening right now are subtle changes in the alliance and removal of dead weight.
OC was not dead weight but as stated, first order of buisness was re-distributing the fields. While this may seem to the critics and cynics to put EV at a very advantageous position when it comes to ore reserves, this is only temporary until new corporations are brought into the alliance and take up space. The only reason EV looks like it is taking "advantage" of the situation is because of where we are positioned.
We could have moved ourself to the north and have other corporations move to the south, but that probably was not considered as an option because it would involve EVERY corporation shifting their operations to new and relatively unknown areas.
The fact of the matter is that OC was informed of the proposed changes by the High Council of the Stain Alliance and did not want to co-operate, they were given a week to change their minds but instead actively planned against the alliance while spouting rhetoric of support. (Since I am a pilot I do not have access to as much intel as officers and High Council members in my alliance, but I offer you this glimpse, Reclaimer is seen here alluding to OC treachery. So we give OC an ultimatum and they talk to Curse about a NAP behind our backs while telling us they will fight them to the death? They were just buying time)
While I cannot comment on any planted moles because I know nothing about it, I imagine it was just a SA member who was against OC's planned betrayel of the alliance.
What has happend has not been from the actions of one corporation, rather it is the will of the Stain Alliance.
(The above views expressed are purely my own and is not to be confused with an official response from EV or the Stain Alliance. These views are based off of my view of the eve universe and the actions and morals of the coporations in this universe)
Taken from the May 29th 2003 Devchat at EveGate . <Muaddid> Q: When will sentry gun and station and similar construction pods be introduced on the market? <Hellmar> we have various player owned entities already implemented. Sentry guns, power/shield generators, field repair mini-stations, mobile refineries. We are still working out the last tidbits of how they can be over taken, what is the penalty of having a sentry gun kill a n00b etc. and we have been a bit busy with plugging the holes that people have found.I would say that you'd start to see these items on the market in about 2-3 weeks, very expensive to begin with |

The part I like most from your link is this: ô ! NOW Omega Corp....there are some real fighters!! ô
Would anyone else here not have spent this time preparing for a war? In the end we decided to (my understanding) accept the offer, until we reached the point in game of player owned space items, then we would leave space peacefully. There were of course other ideas as tempers were hot. However, our decision for peace, at the end, was our decision. We chose to not go to war, you made the decision, and you attacked us. I do not claim the moral high road, but we were going to work for peace, and our reasons are our own.
And so far, EV is the only member of the SA whom has spoken in this forum, with the exception of TriggerÆs post. I can honestly say I would like to hear your side(s) of the story. This isnÆt a flaming contest between OC and EV so please speak up.

My little side noteà
This is why eve is such a great game. Reading these forums it is easy to see that people are actually passionate about their feelings, myself included. This is so far beyond what can happen in a normal game, what you see here is part of eve. Propaganda, misinformation, moles, and beliefsùthat are argued out in plane view of the public. Allies turning against each other, simple differences of opinions have the ability to escalate into a large civil war.
Anyways, back to waiting for a Stain member whom is not OC/EV æs opinion.

When we were given the ultimatum, Omega Corp immediately began preparing for war with EV, SW and any other corp that would move against OC. We made it clear for months we would not give up those 2 systems. The Council gave us a deadline of 1 week to render our final decision. A good leader would utilize that time to fortify... and fortify we did.
We moved the corp battlefleets out of Curse to reinforce our positions within Stain. We ramped up production and now have billions in battle ready BS's, support vessels and vast stockpiles of ammo, missiles and gear. We are positioned to wage a very long war with little income required. We intend to prevent any hostile SA corp and their members from profiting from their decision to betray Omega Corp and steal our territory with politics, votes and threats.
Since our war against CA was on behalf of the SA and based on possible EV misinformation concerning timelines and certain events we immediately decided to call for a cease fire with the CA. Why would we continue to fight that offensive war for the SA? I made contact with CA to discuss peace and made no effort to conceal this. Everyone knows that the CA TS server has been compromised but I made no effort to conceal my identity as I logged on to discuss the cease fire as Duke Droklar / Specter. I could have easily logged on as anything but chose to fly my name.
Many possible courses of action have been discussed within Omega Corp including alignment changes of the corp. Not suprising I would say in light of current events. These possibilities are still being discussed and considered. That is an internal matter and you can be assured that if that occurs the entire eve community will know about it. One thing we have always remained firm on is that we would never be pirates as it is completely unappealing to us and seems quite boring to be honest.
Quote: quote: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- We have fought hard for SA since the moment we arrived and have well earned out territory. We do not intend to simply walk away. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
You were never there when required.
Your lack of commitment to defending your precious mining systems is what caused your dismissal from SA.
I look forward to driving you out of SA territory. -Joshua Calvert
Only a fool would fail to recognise that OC was committing more effort in Curse pressing the SA war with the CA than any other corp. Even with that effort, OC still responded to any SA defense calls within Stain that we deemed as a real threat.
I look forward to EV trying to drive us out as well. Btw, has Con Mal replaced his Raven yet? OC has been fighting wars for over a year. Months of warfare in Curse has honed our skills in guerilla warfare and you are about to learn first hand the truth of the what it means to be an enemy of Omega Corp.
Quote: This will be the only response from MASS. We follow strictly to the council's decision and we will, if required , enforce the decision. -Trigger
Regardless of this, OC will not be the first to initiate hostilities on the corp and people we have respected from before most of the members in the alliance even heard of the Stain Alliance. We will however respond in kind if forced into doing so. We hope it doesnt come to that.
EV and SW need every friend they can get in an attempt to survive this. All OC wants is for others to stand aside as we take these pretenders to school. However absolutely nothing will prevent the retribution that will be befall them.
Quote: You are way behind my dear. We are already in it. And the only reason i will give you is this; It's personal. -SirMolle (Evol)
If you have something to say then do so. Disgruntled member that couldnt cut it in OC? A member of a corp in beta who got their asses handed to them? TAOSP perhaps? OC and EVOL have had no encounters whatsoever so it must be something like that. Lets hear an offical statement from EVOL on the matter.
CA: One thing I have said from when this whole matter started within the SA... "I have yet to see the CA turn on their own". No matter what one believes about the CA, one cannot deny this aspect of their honor. Can't say the same thing for EV and SW.
SA: EV claimed we were being greedy. We offered 80% of our territory and that wasn't good enough for your leaders. It seems quite clear where the greed lies. Remember this if your leaders drag your corp into this war and you come under attack from OC forces.

Edited by: DREAMWORKS on 05/12/2003 10:08:31 I know OC as in: My old corp dismissed and all the PvP'ers joined OC.
They killed more ships in the first 2 weeks than we did when we were anti pirate corporation in 4 months, offcourse because they had whole curse as target but also because they didnt had to gather the resources anymore...
They PvP'ed without gathering resources, all in name off Omega, Stain Alliance. They fought for Stain, they killed 1-3 battleships a week and they were only 3-5 people of whole Omega. That is 150-300mil damage in the name of stain, i don't call that "little". If only 5 do such dmg, how much do the other 120 members?
Everlasting Vendetta has made a decision to drive larger corporations out Stain it seems, to personally gain more power. They were preparing for this, if you remember the day where 50 man mining op went to stain and Everlasting Vendetta bragged about how much money they made... Even back then i suspect them of preparing of something, shame they chose the wrong party to pull a leg out.
And to think of it they could have had 8 from the 10 systems, it is even more a fault they made since the previous mentioned baby roid fix.
Stain lost its agressor Omega to beat down their enemies, so they "hire"/call in Evolution in promise of Bistot fields.
Let's see how long it will last if Evolution did their job, if they will be asked to leave stain. __________________________

It does not matter who EV brings in. They cannot stop us from prosecuting this war. The best they can do is prevent us from running ops for a short while in one area of Stain. We are specialists in lightning raids striking the enemies weaknesses.
How exactly can they stop us? The only way they are ever safe now is when they are in a massive blip. How long can they keep that up? A couple hours here or there for a couple days of the week? We have been running ops nearly 18 hours per day in multiple shifts. We dont need money, we have an enormous volume of corporate ships at our disposal and we dont have CA to fight anymore. We are 100% focused on the death and destruction of those that have attacked us.
If they are camping us with a massive blip who exactly is defending Stain from CA? EV and cronies really dont understand what they have started. Weve been fighting what?... 40-50 corps in the CA virtually by ourselves for 2 months. Will introducing evol or any other corp have any effect on us whatsoever?

Edited by: Domon on 05/12/2003 11:57:32 Wow,
I'm gone for a little while and the universe blows up! But boy do I have something to say about all this.
I have been a member of OC since before many people had even cruisers after the game went public. I am a high ranking and trusted member of Omega Corp. So therefore, I think I have a soap box to stand on and gain some small amount of credibility to these words I write.
I have been on our TS server many many times and have had many many conversations with members and leader of my corp. All are fun loving, hard working individuals who form the glory that is Omega Corp. When times were good and relations were good, NEVER ONCE have I been privy to any conversations between ANY members of Omega Corp where our corp was allegedly plotting against SA. And believe me, if there were any, I would know about it.
However, it IS true that there are some hard feelings among our members at the treatment that has been given to us, myself included. This comes to us after we personally turned the tide in the securing of SA initially in turning out the pirate squatters and to other wars that SA has deemed necessary.
OC has ALWAYS fielded a force when it was called upon us. Being on the ass end of Stain, it is pretty hard to be on time for every battle at the front when you have at least 30 hops... When war broke out with Curse, we fielded a force EVERY DAY in Curse, sometimes lasting a whole day. This force has varied in size, but never in ferocity. When OC was on patrol in Curse, fear walked in our wake (as members of CA have posted to this thread alredy). Let me put it this way: Any member of CA can tell you we can hold our own.
I would like to point out that we basically did this BY OURSELVES. Here and there we had people I have come to respect join us, most notably from MASS and a few from Old Farts. EV even joined us a few times and they fought well as far as I can tell. But that may be just because they weren't in charge of the operation: all they had to do was what they were told . (EV, I hope you learned well on your recon missions to see how we fight. BTW, I'm actually a bit surprised after seeing how effective we are that you'd even WANT to fight the war in the first place...but I digress). I know I'm forgetting some corps that joined us on occasion, but let me stress this: It was OCCASIONAL. Most of the time, it was only OUR forces that held down CA.
All that said, EV and other corps that have done nearly nothing to ensure the security of Stain have been mining away safely while OC fronted a war for them. BTW, you can say that you 'defended' Stain, but you didn't really...Sure you had some good sized forces to defend against some good sized incursions, but rarely, if at all, did those two big blips meet and you actually did some pvp. And when they did..what happened? SA got beat and beat bad(BTW, OC was not in charge of any of the milops that went down like this, while we may have had members supporting the op).
Stain Alliance has had the luxury of a hard working corp working the front lines for them, but they will soon see WHY we are good at what we do. We personally (not Stain Alliance) laid waste to Curse, consisting of how many corporations? Some of them even call themselves dedicated PvP'ers.
Actually, I have to tip my hat to some corps in Curse that actually went after us. I know I can't remember them all, but Shinra and Black Omega Corp (nice name, btw...deliberate?) have fought valiantly against us. We actually had some good natured conflicts between rival corps. Not just some leet dude trash talking on local and not backing up what they say (like some corps chose to do).
Let me assure you, anyone who goes against us in this will lose. How much they lose will be up to them before they call for a white flag.
So I say, bring it on! EVOL? We'll be glad to take your cargo cannisters.
In parting, I could respond to all the EV statements against us here and prove them false, but it is simply not worth my time. This post was originally going to quote each thing I wanted to comment on and reply to it, but I looked at all the things I wanted to quote and it proved a daunting task even for me. So basically the above book is a compilation of what I feel.

I might not like CA much more than stain, but at least they stick by each other.

Ah there is the Omega Corp we all know and hate
. You guys blown your own horn so hard I'm wondering what your daytime job is.
"Fear walked on your wake", "laying waste to Curse" .
The only fear we had when you guys were in curse was that we would be to late to catch you running. As for putting things on the line I'm sorry but I always found Omegas strategy of using mostly BBs fitted with base modules rather weak, hell you could you'd need to lose 40 of those to equal a BS loss, and then you run and hide behind the fact that your "only in a BB" when you meet someone who wants to engage you. The rare times you guy do engage and get your ass kicked of course it was you were only in a BB. I'll tell you what, why don''t get in one of the BSs you piled up and put your money where your mouth is.

Iluyen: It makes no sense for a few bb's on a wolf pack op to engage a BS group when their objective is disruption and catchng enemies with their pants down. You don't win a war by exchanging losses. You win wars by costing the enemy losses with little losses to yourself. Haven't noticed your corp engaging an alliance of 40-50 corps for 2 months solo. You see I'm not the one claiming to "lay waste to Stain" or "make them tremble in fear". I have no problem with your tactics as such. What I do have a problem with is you selling them as "honorable" and pretending you are an "uber" pvp corp. As you yourself said you have had a lot of practice using guerillia tactics (that involve you attacking miners and indies then running when anyone with a gun fitted on their ship gets in system). A valid tactic no doubt (although I think the game mechanics are a bit fubared at the moment and make it to easy to run away and hide in safespots, stations, logging out, etc)but a long way from what you pretend to be. And your still hiding behind the fact that your in a BB. Tell me with all the BSs you alledgedly have in reserve why is it a wolf pack of BBs and not a wolf pack of BSs? Everlasting is right you dont put anything on the line and you greatly exagerate the effect you had on curse.
Let me make it clear to you your not a good pvper your a muppet attacking non pvp-ers. Come to think of it now I describe you you sound a lot like Tank CEO. Maybe you should consider pirating after all.

War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. i dont think anybody can win something without own bases that could be destroyed. every ship is only a ship. a destroyed ship, who cares really .... a base with a real logistic keyfunction, equipment and BPc re the thing that would hurt. but up to that date, war is only a waste of ships and very small amounts of equipment. nothing that could really hurt a corp.

OC-EV/SW war so far comes to 6 EV/SW Battleships and 1 BB dead, loss on OC side has been 1 megathron, 1 bestower (on a pre-emptive EV/SW strike after we had agreed to SA terms) and 2 BBs yesterday. There have been no indy kills for us yet, but we will gladly take what we can get, our cruise missiles do not discriminate.

Many OC engaged several battleships solo in the past few days with a BB, sure we didn't kill them solo, but we sure as hell didn't run straight off the bat.
I'm sure you never sat in a camped station before lol . Actually it's amazing how 2-3 people in a station can lock-down 12-15 people by doing absolutely nothing.
Quote: Tell me with all the BSs you alledgedly have in reserve why is it a wolf pack of BBs and not a wolf pack of BSs? Everlasting is right you dont put anything on the line and you greatly exagerate the effect you had on curse.
Most OC ops always have BS support, BBs make up a large proportion of our fleet as do other ships. We try to take advantage of the game mechanics, yes, everyone does, why don't you fly a rifter in pvp instead of your Tempest? It gives you an advantage, that is why, we use fleet setups that give us the most advantages and it does work.
Quote: Let me make it clear to you your not a good pvper your a muppet attacking non pvp-ers. Come to think of it now I describe you you sound a lot like Tank CEO. Maybe you should consider pirating after all.
Hmmm, everyone in Eve must be some sort of PvPer, because it is a pvp game. Same applies for Pvp corps. I'm sure not everyone in OC likes pvp that much either, they all just probably hide it.
It's only been a short time since OC has stopped operations in and around Curse towards CA, so personally I don't expect some corps to forgive us straight away, tensions will still be there for awhile at least. Even though i've fought CA along with my comrades I have infact gained alot of respect for them, they always fight the good battle and always stick up for eachother, unlike our current enemies, Everlasting Vendetta and Solar Wind.

Your just doing what I said annoyed me about OC i.e. hiding behind the BB excuse whenever it suits them. It doesnt matter how you try and sell it your taking no risks period.
As for pvping, I know the difference between a no risk kill that takes no skill and a battle that was what I consider "real" pvp. (wich doesnt mean I don't kill when there is no risk involved ) You go play your researcher and pretend to be pvping another researcher if you want:)

Iluyen, for someone who is suppose to be good a PvP you sure don't seem to understand tactics.
I'll do it simple. In REAL wars, you want to do maximum damage with minimum damaged taken. So, for instance, if we are in a fight and destroy 1 bs but we lost destroyed 2-3 or even 20 bb, we come out on top (75-150m loses to 5-10m or 60m). This my Iluyen is what is called "tactics".

I'm sorry if you disagree with proven tactics. Seems as though you have a personaly grudge with OC *shrug* EV is accepting members I hear.
I really don't see your point. You're arguing to us about tactics that are proven in attacking an enemy for an extended amount of time.
The way I see it, our offensive fleets are extremely like CCP visioned and what most other players would like to see. A few battleships supported by alot of smaller ships. If all of the eve-populous went by your vision of combat, everyone one fly around in uninsured battleships, as insurance would be deemed "cowardly"...."OMG he has insurance!, that coward, he'll loose next to nothing in a fight and will have another ship straight away". Unless you yourself fly around in an unisured Battleship your rhetoric has no meaning and you are simply a hipocrit. EVERYONE plans for the event that if they do loose something that loss will be minimal, it happens out of game and it happens ingame. I'm sorry if you do not comprehend that.

Sentry guns, power/shield generators, field repair mini-stations, mobile refineries. Considering that EV, and probably most of the rest of SA thought it would be war I am just a little surprised at how basily only EV has posted here (of the SA corps). One would think that the other corps would want to avoid this if it is not truly what they want. Just an interesting thought to go on.

I understand Torment, Archon and the rest of those in RI. I also understand what a massivley difficult decision this is. Especially with the EV spin being whispered and the ramifications of actually standing up against EV.
It would be the wrong decision to stand by us simply out of old ties if you honestly believe the council is right in this matter and we are wrong.

At that time, I believed what I said. However we failed to get the last BS that was reported...A little battle confusion and I'm sorry for it. And later after the post, I learned that we lost a BB. So if you count the one Domon killed earlier, thats 3 BS to one BB. So let the official record of that day stand at that.
BTW, before going to bed, I went back to change the post and as you can see it is posted by Lanfear (one of my alts), and I couldn't figure out how to edit the post with her as the poster.

Raidakaoz, oh no no no, you don't... I was playing around with ya'll in t-nn last night (didn't see ya there, btw...)
This is a no bullcrap story. I have an evemail from one of the enemy I fought. If you don't believe my story, message him in game...
It was me in a raven, just me. Ya'll used FoF missiles all right, but I didn't run...oh no.
There were seven of you. Using tactics, I made one of you dock with shields down and 3/4ths of his armor/hull gone there were seven enemies against me at the time. A little later, one SW member docked his three ships to go afk (ya'll know who I'm talkin about now :-) so there were 3 left outside the station. I didn't log off until I had to go to sleep. I think I can speak for everyone present that we all had fun.
Not only did I take on seven enemies, but I survived it and even made one person dock. This shows you the heart with which OC puts towards war, which I think none but an idiot or an ignorant can deny.
Anyways, I'd like to say to the participants, thanks for the fun. It certainly was the best time I've had in Eve in a long time.
Just so ya'll don't think I'm lying about that evemail... here it is...
2003.12.11 03:28:00 While like most enemies we all encounter there is always a desire to destroy. However i just wanted to say that tangling with you today was the most fun i've had against any other player out to destroy me :) Very few peeps who shoot at me ever earn my respect.

You act as though there is some big secret. Empress of TC one of the few SA corps I still respect asked in council (during the early days) if any were interested in going in on a Scorp and they would receive an infinite copy for 200mill (or there abouts). OC as well as 1-2 other SA corps said yes and the deal was completed in due time. This is no different from any other group purchase plan that has been done a million times in Eve. The price was about normal, we advanced the money to TC and we got what we bargained for.
So what exactly is your point? Did we get some huge bargain? No, normal biz deal between allies. The main benefit was working a deal of this size with a trusted ally. Of course we wouldnt have trusted money up front to anyone BUT a trusted ally.

I was referring to another matter. Sorry for the misunderstanding. I will relate it now as I know it.
Back in the days when we were all on the chase for original bs bp, Omega and SW, as allies, made a pact, to work together and make a joined purchase for the apoc original bp. To our dismay and surprise, when us, SW had 50% of the bp cost, Omega could not contribute with the other half.
No biggie, we continued to raise the money on our own and we've been among the first 5-10 corps in Eve to purchase an apoc orignal bp.
And now the thing that bothers me, that u forgot to mention, comes. You have asked us for an infinte apoc bpc at below the market price. If I remember correctly, we've sold it to u at about 200M below the market price at that moment. We were allies and friends, so we did it.
What did u do afterwards? Shortly after acquiring the infinite apoc bpc from us, u've sold it on the market, behind our backs, at normal market price.
That was one the things that broke the good relationships between our corps. And I suspect it was your decision to do so, Mr. Duke $ollar, not your corp.
I have, most probably wrongly, assumed that u've used the profit u've gained from that shameful stunt and whatever isk u had at that moment to buy an original scorpion bp. From what u've said, I assume u've probably had enough isk to purchase the scorpion bpc but still, u have taken advantage of our friendship and trust and made profit from our hard work.
I'm sure u'll find some excuses for this. For me, there are none u can put on the table. It was plain and simple, laim.
Jag.
P.S. On Monday, your infinite scorpion bpc will become limited. I am looking forward to the day when it will have 0 runs left .

Quote: And now the thing that bothers me, that u forgot to mention, comes.
Sorry to burst you bubble but we still have that blueprint. It was never sold.

Ahhhh, so that is what you're so uninformed and misguided about. Let see how the public feels about who is being ridiculous on the matter.
#1 SW offers an unaffiliated, non allied, could've been drawn from a hat corp, to purchase an unlimited copy of the Apoc for around 150 mill.
#2 I get wind of this and speak to SW. I am appauled to think that they did not even ask us if we were interested in an obviously good deal that they were offering to just anybody.
#3 SW withdraws the offer AFTER it had been agreed to and demands 250 mill if OC wants the same deal.
#4 After some haggling we agree to 200 mill and we receive the unlimited copy me1.
#5 A couple months go by and the Apoc copy no longer serves our needs. We offer it on trade channel at 400 mill (starting price, was hoping for about 300).
#6 SW gets bent out of shape claiming that we should sell it back to them at what we paid for it.
First of all, the deal was made very business like by SW with no consideration towards allies or EVEN what they had offered a corp SW didnt even know.
Secondly, what we do with OUR copy is absolutley none of your business when no "favors" were granted to us when we acquired it. So what exactly do you think we OWE you???
Thirdly, OC & SW agreed long before this that "sharing" ownership of originals was not a good idea.
Btw, I noticed you got nice and fat off the constellation of rares that OC GAVE you. Of course none of that ever figures into the SW mindset.

Quote: You act as though there is some big secret.

Errr, dude. How is an apoc unlimited bpc for 200M worse than a scorp unlimited bpc for 200M? . Oh, u do know that an apoc original bp costs about 2 times more than a scorp original bp, do u? Thus, also the unlimited bpc's prices must also have around the same ratio.

Um, I think you didn't read Dukes post right, this is how I read it.
1) SW put apoc unlimited bp on OPEN market for 150mil. 2) OC show interest. 3) SW pull it off open market and say OC can have it for 250. 4) OC haggle it down to 200mil.
Why did SW charge OC 250mil when they were going to sell it to the open market for 150mil?

No, I think U didn't read it right:

I admit, I was not aware of this. However, I've investigated and it turns out that it was not a random corp, but a corp with which we had dealings. Third might know more about this issue, I'll ask him. Don't tell me u didn't have dealings with corps outside SA. OTA from C4 comes to my mind. As for the price u've mentioned, I highly doubt it. We were friends back then. And 200M was a VERY good price, stop *****in .
Anyway, it was not on the market.
I've said what I had to say on this matter. I think the truth is pretty obvious. One has only to look at Duke $ollar's posts to see that .

Being OTA myself I can safelly say that when we joined the C4 alliance it was NOT pointed at SA. *remembers fast moves from Curse to SA in the middle of the build up.

Please quote where I said 200 or even 250 was an "unfair" price. No what I said was SW wanted to charge OC more than they were going to charge another corp.

And this other corp gave you a constellation of rares in Stain? When SW complained they had run out of rares this other corp gave you another 3 systems? If you are aware of all OC has done for SW since beta and through retail than it cannot be seen as anything other than a slap in the face from a corp of ingrates to offer us a higher price than what they offered to another corp.
At the time we were helping SW we viewed it as "building relations and helping to strengthen an ally" however SW actions in the past months have been straying far from friendly until they became completely traitorous.
