OC / SA HISTORY
In the ôearly daysö Omega Corp came to Stain in search of a home. We found that Interstellar Elite, a corp we had known and previously fought side by side with was now a founder of the Stain Alliance. SA consisted of 3 primary corpsà IE, The Collective and MASS. After some talks, Omega Corp joined the Stain Alliance, claimed and settled into our territory consisting of 3 constellations in the rear of Stain.
Our territory was untamed and had rogues and pirates including m0o frequently operating there. We began military operations to secure our new home. We also invited our old ally Solar Wind to come and join us. We convinced them of the abundance of the area and offered them 1 of our 3 constellations as their home. We sponsored them and they became SA members as well.
Much to our dismay the SA were loath to initiate hostilities against m0o (the remaining pirates of our territory) and allowed m0o to roam as it pleased throughout Stain. Omega Corp fought against m0o with assistance from a Solar Wind officer named Thirdstorm and drove m0o out of our home.
OC sent war fleets to every call to arms of the SA. Omega Corp was a dedicated and committed member of the SA by anyoneÆs standards. OC had always been primarily focused on military tactics and strategy. We believe that Omega Corp has always been a primary asset in the strength of SA.
EV comes to Stain Everlasting Vendetta was granted a hunting pass but soon was found to have a large mining operation within OC territory. We rallied forces to launch an assault on the poachers and informed the SA council of what was about to occur. IE intervened speaking with EV and announced that EV would now become a member of SA and was given a territory in another area of Stain. We of OC did not like this since we felt EV had already shown their true nature but the deal had already been made.
Over the next couple months two more incidents of EV illegally mining in our territory occurred. One was claimed to be a mistake by some uniformed members (although an officer was present). The other incident was when a small 4 man corp we shared our territory with merged with EV. They tried claiming that the acquisition of these 3 members gave them mining rights to our territory but the SA council ruled against them and they were told to return to their own territory. The bad blood was well sown in these days and relations between our corps were tense.
SA Politics In time, several more corps were brought into the SA without votes of existing members and with little or no probationary periods to prove themselves. Approximately 2 months ago EV began a political initiative to ôredistrictö all territory in stain to divide it equally among the SA corps. OC protested on the basis that not all corps were contributing equally to the SA military needs and therefore equal territory was not justified. Our protests fell on deaf ears as the newer corps unanimously voted for the redistricting.
Being outvoted and still wanting to remain a ôgood memberö of the SA, Omega Corp offered to relinquish 8 of the 10 systems in our territory. We also clearly designated our 2 primary HQ systems as not available for redistricting.
The Ultimatum
On 11-26-03 the SA Council decided that OC would not be allowed to retain our 2 HQÆs and offered 1 HQ and a different system of their choosing. Heated arguments went on for hours and the SA council gave OC one week to decide as they put it, ôto accept the decision or leave Stain by choice or by forceö.
Solar Wind our oldest ally was present and backed the EV against OC even after we pointed out that the redistricting map drawn up by EV gave EV 3 HQ stations in their territory with the rest of the constellation designated as ôsharedö. In effect giving EV an entire constellation while the rest of the SA were 10-30 jumps away. Apparently our offer of 8 of our 10 systems was not good enough and the SA corps were blind to the EV biased map.
Our Decision Omega Corp firmly believes our offer was more than generous. We feel betrayed by our old allies Solar Wind. One corp, MASS voiced in OCÆs favor and that was appreciated. Our decision is to not allow EV and its cronies to force OC out of Stain. We have fought hard for SA since the moment we arrived and have well earned out territory. We do not intend to simply walk away.

War Declaration OC declares war on Everlasting Vendetta and Solar Wind.
OC withdraws its previous offer to surrender 8 of the 10 systems.
In the light of Solar Winds betrayal, OC reclaims itÆs 3rd constellation (WULNA) formerly given to Solar Wind by OC.
OC declares the RPS-OK system as the OC border and violation of that border will be considered an act of war.
OC requests that any SA corps that wish to remain neutral should contact Specter, declare their neutrality and remain beyond the RPS-OK system until the war is resolved.
SA corps that initiate open hostilities against Omega Corp will be placed on a KOS list and will be subject to guerilla raids anywhere in Stain. We are making an effort to separate traitors emboldened by EV from the corps that simply fear being ejected from stain by a Council that has been manipulated by EV.
CA / OC cease fire offered. As we believe weÆve been betrayed by those we called ôfriendsö, OC will no longer fight the SA war against CA. Omega Corp formally offers CA a cease fire between OC and CA. OC has ceased hostile operations against CA and will continue to honor that as a show of good faith as long as hostilities are not initiated against OC.
Accusations EV has accused us of plotting against EV and MASS. We challenge them to show one instance of OC saying anything but good about MASS. EV has proven their colors since they arrived in Stain and the hatred between our corps has been mutual. MASS on the other hand have always been good allies and we have never had any issues with them or their members.
Conclusion. Omega Corp believes we have done everything to avoid this situation with the exception of complete submission to what we deem as unreasonable demands. OC is prepared to fight to our last breath against the mob rule tyranny that has swept over the SA spearheaded by EV. We do not believe this will be a short war although we are confident in our military capability to cause great harm to the SA corps that attempt to do harm to Omega Corp. We fully understand that the OC territory will be breached on many occasions but we vow to make this war extremely costly to those that attack OC. We firmly believe that the SA cannot afford this war and it has the potential to destroy the SA.

First 24 hours of the war:
EV launches a sneak attack under the guise of a peace agreement reached with the SA Council 2 hours prior. 1 OC Indy and 1 OC Megathron are destroyed.
OC withdraws to assess the situation and decides to only attack SA corps that initiate hostilities aganst OC. We understand this position gives any SA corp that intends to wage war a beginning advantage we are willing to make that sacrifice in an effort to spare corps bearing no hostile intentions being drawn into a war they do not desire.
The first OC raids result in 1 EV Apoc and 1 SW Dom being destroyed. Our raids will increase in frequency and intensity as time goes on and more corps become targets by their own actions.

Good luck on your mission to gain back what SA took from you and give back to you. I am sure CA can do something to help, though I'm not the one that makes the decision about that.

I for one cannot believe this matter could not be settled diplomatically. The Stain Alliance has always been known for its integrity and stability. Surely some settlement or compromise could have been reached to accomodate Omega's concerns, but it appears that I am wrong. It also now appears that Stain is taking the path of Venal...if Omega wishes to shatter all that we have fought and died for here in Stain...then so be it. I for one shall answer the call to arms.

Edited by: Korath on 04/12/2003 20:11:03 Well it's obvious EV has inserted a mole into our corp. Will be nice to find out who it is. The question here is how long has this mole been with us? Obviously since before war was declared on us when we were still allies just waiting for the chance to use something against us. Funny how an "ally" starts planting moles into corps they're supposed to be working with and not against. With friends like these, who needs enemeis right? Regardless of all kinds of useful information, the use of 'moles' is lower than low in my opinion. Perhaps the rest of the SA should carefully go over their rosters, maybe EV has a mole in your corp as well. Go ahead EV, play your tapes, I'm sure its out of context. Maybe I should post the chat we all had in the CEO channel last week when you guys kept bashing us for 4 hours strait. That should give everyone all kinds of dirt to read in addition to your tapes.

In my eyes, it looks like EV dont care if a civil-war in SA will tare it apart, just aslong as they get to bust OC ball$.
OC however was going to give up 8/10 systems and thereby keeping 2 and we surely dont like the idÚa of SA getting ripped apart by this war, but we had no choise in the matter.

It will be interesting to see what kind of proof is presented.. It doesnt matter if it came from a mole or not, if it did, then OC Command should be more careful with plotting against allies infront of members... (if thats whats presented)
Im just wondering with all this testosterone filled warshouting and asskissing from CA forces if OC will drop their honour and accept help from the pirate forces they used to fight against...

Not sure who you are but your information is false. Everlasting Vendetta has always respected and gone with the councils majority votes. Unless you can prove otherwise your claim holds no merit. We have always been a respectable corp with respectable means.
And no we're not getting any of OC's systems out of it. We have another EQUAL state that was 100% approved by the rest of the council.

you meen EV¦s .
In my eyes it seems like EV is manipulating the council.
We have NO desire to fight MASS and will surely not make the first hostile act towards you.
Think about this TRIGGER.
Appearently EV planted a mole inside Omega along time ago, possibly planning for this all along. What kind of "allied" places a mole inside a friendly Corp, and for what reason.
And have you ever tought about that EV might have a mole in MASS , waiting for the exact same situation .
I seriosly hope that the Council will do a re-vote - for the Stain Alliance sake.
Omega Corp had NO whatsoever plans on going to war with EV or SWC 1 week ago, and we have not recived any new members since this "war" broke out - that meens that EV must have placed their mole inside OC long before this was accured.
So i ask again.
Can you trust a Corp that puts Moles inside an Allied Corps ranks .
NO

What I don't understand is why SA would vote on something that was supposed to "balance" the ownership of systems with stations and/or bistot belts if everyone in SA was not willing to give up their systems to be re distributed. Was it for every corp to have only one system with a station in it and the rest as shared stations/belts? If this was the plan, then that would mean that everyone, MASS, EV, SW, R-I etc.. everyone would have to agree to these even terms.
All I am seeing is supposedly everything in Stain was balanced accept for OC? OC was the "only" corp in stain that had more than one station? I haven't seen this "map" that EV drew out and how they decided to "evenly" divide everything up among the SA corps. All I am seeing is OC getting pushed out because EV doesn't like them.
Right now all I can imagine is EV doing a

Long story short, we had 29 bistot producing belts in our 2 systems, the rest of the alliance had anywhere from 16-22 bistot producing belts. We also had a station in both our systems. Some other corps had to go a whopping 1 jump to get from a bistot producing belt to a station. We had already given up 8 bistot producing systems.
It's not even about the bistot for us at this point but apparently it is for everyone else. We refused to roll over after we fought for months through 3 wars to secure this area only to have it stripped away from us. It's the principle of the thing. When the roid spawn is fixed (hopefully with the patch this month) it won't even freakin matter who has how many belts. So here we are at war because we wouldn't roll over.
