All types with focus on Kin/therm.
If they haven't changed lately this are their stats:
EM damage: 16
Explosive damage: 16
Kinetic damage: 28
Thermal damage: 28
Damage Mod: 3.5
ROF: 1.75
DPS: 176

Sentries seem to sting more now than pre-Revelations, but that is entirely anecdotal and I haven't done any real tests.

Last i heard they did 355 DPS:
32% Thermal
32% Kinetic
18% EM
18% Explosive
Is how they were split up, approx.

176 x 2 = 352 so look at the damage % i posted. It`s approx correct and the best ship to setup for sentry-tanking by base is a Gallente Elite ship as they have high base Kinetic and Thermal. Actually Caldari is a pretty good choice aswell with only weakness as EM.

I think lowsec needs more sentry guns. I don't think the idea was to tank them for 20 seconds each in battleships while you pick on random blokes. That's what 0.0 is for =P
Plus, 4 tachyon beams slicing into a ship from different angles just looks real cool.

as long as they dont do over 1k dps its fine (as long as you got the isk for it that is :P)
