With the reviving of CA alot of memories came back. As you read in the other threads alot of hate and frustration came back. But alot of good memories where also made that time, so i wonder who got some nice tales or screenshots from the good old time.
I remember all the great fleet fights in the Catch/Stain and Curse region. Some nights we had like 5 fleet fights all over the pipe. Was always a suprise who would win, CA mostly long range and SA (and me) trying too get close range and gank the hell out of them. I surely miss those fights. Moving up and down, closing down U-Q then d87, waiting on the gate too HLW. Then hearing that CA have alot more at the other side and still jumping in. I still thank Trigger, Razzil, Aeryn, Zeal, Dalman and other well known SA guys too be primary
I miss the old dudes aswell that are missing or just very inactive. I still hope Aeryn Sun and Zeal Dragon come back playing active.
I still got a few nice screens from the fleet fights we had in U-QVWD and HLW. Also a few funny from the start of XF.
U-QVWD Fights U-QVWD Fights 2 HLW-HP Fights HWL-HP Fights 2 OMG WTF SETUP!! XF birth camping the only way in Nice trophy
Please keep these a bit civil for once ________________________ HC MasiEEE - DICE

I was apart of the Fountain Alliance raids into Curse Space in late 2004/2005?
I remember travelling there from mn5>nol>curse to where most of my corp we're on map. In my blackbird without instas and without scouts most of the way, and being stopped by some members from Stain Alliance. The SA member was like wtf u doing here. I was like look at my corporation info in FA!!! -hahaha
i think that blackbird is still in fountain moffballed.
also around that time, there was a computer gaming shop in ipswich town, that i sometimes went too, called lgi. There were few stain members and even jadrut and dezzyb0y used to play there.
only one or two years ago seems like a decade in mmo sence. a different equally fun time, still is.

I was happy when I saw that CA was forming up again. Some of my best memories in eve is from the war against CA we had when TC was in xetic :D

Wahey, that's a hardcore old-skool 'pest setup you have here MasiEEE, I'm especially fond of the 2 lasers with MF & Radio ("that'll surprise the *******!!")
Seeing that interface certainly brings back some sweet memories.

I joined XF as a noob from Empire during the SPRUM, CA Empire war, the days of camping Yulai for 8 hours without seeing a single target, after the war I went to 0.0 (2-R in Feyth) Where I joined up with as many XF gangs as I could.
One paticular gang of note was when I was in a vigil, the CA fleet was one jump away and Yoristar was leading the gang. We were Safespotted waiting for reinforcements (it seemed liked we did that a lot), TS had been silent for about 30 minutes, when some guy comes on and says "hey Yori, mind if I take the frigates out harass the CA support" So all the frigates were ordered to warp to this this guy and we proceeeded to fly around the system ganking the lone CA frigates, tbh I was in shock that we could actually kill somthing at this point, it was great fun, then we got a shout that there was a hostile BS alone at a gate, all frigs warped and we started pounding on the Apoc, our frig leader shouts on TS "Yori, get your F-ing gang in here and get this BS down" The whole XF fleet warped in just as they did, CA jumped in and there was a big battle at the gate, when I say big battle I mean everyone shouting "warp the F out" lol
So our fearless frig leader that I admired so much got half our gang killed, but afterwards I thought oh that was fun!! Our fearless frig leader was Cartiff btw.
During that war I gained a lot of respect for a lot of people, TC, Olyyy, Cartiff, ATUK, Conram. Then CA disbanded and I left. I have no screenshots but I had a lot fun flying my 250 rail Thorax with sensor boosters and 5 reactor control Units.
It's great being Amarr that flys Minmintar aint it?

I was never involved in the whole CA vs SA thing, was far too young at the time, sat mining in high sec.
I do remember mining with a guy from SA, and him spending hours telling me about how CA were trying to take over the south, like some sort of evil empire, with only Stain Alliance fighting for the good of the community etc. Just that story was enough to make me carry on paying the subscription to eve.
I also remember when we started kr0m, some CA guy from, stronghold? I think, offered to pay so that we would set CA to blue.
Although I did join MASS and Everlasting Vendetta (with my old char) I never got in on the action (too busy trying to get some isk), but the backstory that went along with the SA vs. CA, thing was enough to encourage me to keep playing and maybe try to be a part of the next evil empire or the people they were fighting.
(I do have some screen shots of the period, but they are of ity mk3's and thorax's)

Edited by: Fendragun on 18/01/2007 09:34:19 i remember my first combat against CA being a part of the 50 man bs fleet coming to ca and getting it handed to us.
then as part of xanadu we used to come down and lay the smack down alot.
as an ATUK director i remember leading a fleet of SA / ATUK into a ca gate camp and killing lots.
lots of happy memories for me
oh and btw those that missed those epic fleet fights from back in the day missed how the game is meant to be played, god they were fun.
btw masie who let you in dice :P

Edited by: Rod Blaine on 18/01/2007 09:51:51 I might be in that shot in a mega actually, if it's a 2003 one where we were like 'guarding'the entrance against SA and Evol gankers coming from u-q and so on.
Glad then that it isn't my setup you're seeing :p
First days of Xetic were fun, altho I still have an aversion for hauling left over from them. Glad we joined CA after an abortive fleet strike (John Bishop and 3 other CTEC BS incl me :p) on an Evolution gatecamp. At least that cut down on the hauling.
Damn you CCP, mobile refineries in dec 2003 my ass

then my corp back then, the black ops, went to immensea, i rlly enjoyed the politics thingie - when the ceo habigor went inactiove for some months i did my best to keep the corp alive but gave up (they made it tho, props to mire!) in the end and joined death row inc. - a corp im rlly proud to have in my corporation history.

Ah XF, nothing like having 600 odd in alliance chat and 10 in gang trying to hold off a 50man enemy fleet, so the bears back in the regions behind could mine in peace. Then some idiot spoils it all by sending an alliance mail aking for peeps to kill the gate rats as their shooting his hauler. I had to go postal on his ass that time.

Sounds like my Xetic allright.
Altho there once was something of a stand made that included the bears. I think it was against SA during a period of failing neutrality, somewhere in Immensea in an XT minnig hangout. Think we didn't do that bad etiher, altho you never knew when noone had killboards back then.
All in all the signs were clear from the start tbh. Didn't quite get why not more of the somewhat combatative people left when it was clear that no retaliation would be sought no matter what. that's one of the things that shaped Xetic through all the years after. We let people know we were pushovers. Bad idea that.

haha ill never forget ur reply was a classic. never seen so many replies to an alliance mail before, and then the ones with the usual DONT NOT REPLY at the end which ofc spiraled out of control.
