Originally by: Tiny Tove It's not a waste of his time to tell us what are exploits. We're supposed to keep ourselves informed. There isn't even anything in the rules that says "You must read the FAQ for the rest of the rules" - FAQS are supposed to be optional, and when you look in them for an answer, and that answer says "We're not telling you the answer, but you have to know the answer, so go out there and find out for yourself" how forlorn do you feel?
Right now, I hear a lot of the usual fanboy rhetoric. And YET AGAIN, nobody has showed me any official information.
So if CCP simply CANNOT BE BOTHERED to tell us what known exploits are in a sensible fashion, then they should come in here every single time a question is raised, or not punish anybody who breaks those rules.
I have no problem "wasting" the time of people I am paying. I do however have a problem paying people who waste my time. There should be no onus on me to waste my time trying to find out the rules of the game I pay to play.

I really don't understand why you assume people who understand that it is an exploit (hence people getting banned for doing it) and tell everyone else that is is are fanboys.
Eve-Search, which you obviously don't understand the functionality of, does not actually "contain" any information at all. The same thing that eve-search does could be done by going onto google and searching "myeve.eve-online.com insertwhateverhere" it just does it in a much more streamlined way. In fact the search results even link directly to these forums so that you are able to read the responses here so it can be that much more "official" for you.
Should there be a more comprehensive list? Probably, but on the other hand there are are major issues with creating such a list. You would have to update it almost every day. You would be allowing people who would otherwise not know about an exploit TO know about it. You would set up the arguement of "Well it's not on the exploit list so how am I supposed to know it's an exploit?" Doing such a thing creates a whole host of issues that might factor into their decision not to make and maintain such a comprehensive list.
It's an exploit, people have and will get banned for it and as far as CCP is concerned thats the end of the issue. |
