no but theres a market for GTCs and its 100% legit in terms of the rules since GTC exchance is allowed. Same thing. Buy GTC with your ISk and then sell GTC for cash.

But if you are meaning Isk farmers, CCP have stated on many occations that they are completely againt the selling of isk for RL money, and ban many account (they have given figures before but dont like to do it - but its alot).

If you think you know somone who sells or buys isk for money you should petition them and the GM's will look into it.

Then I am waiting on "CCP" to nuke the people on my long list of ICE Farmers in EveryShore Region..... and thats "just" one region.....

I know I am not the only one with outstanding petions against these guys....

CCP doesnt like ppl that sell ISK for real cash.

Btw, most ppl should learn the difference between a farmer, a legit miner, a macro miner and an ISK seller.

to be honest the only thing that irks me about isk farmers is they live in npc corps, untouchable like gods, the ones that come to complexes are at least fair game :D

If you've petitioned them and nothing has happened...then you're making unfounded accusations which could actually be construed as harrassment. CCP are the sole arbitrators of who is and is not breaking the rules on macro'ing. Report them and get on with playing Eve, allready. A witch hunt helps noone, and raises the profile of the farmers.

Their public (which is what the OP asked) policy is clear: farming ISK to sell for RL money is against the T&C and will get you closed. Their private policy is far more interesting - I suspect it's more along the lines of "don't bother them too much as they pay subscriptions - but close a few occasionally so the real players don't whine too much".

The best ISK sellers are the complex farmers. When complexs where farmed twice a day 24/7 for months by the same character, it's obvious that his RL job is Eve.
Also you guys don't consider the moguls of ISK selling, a normal ISK seller doesn't bother to find clients, the mogul does and he has a site and he has a crew, who stays non-stop on messenger to give best "customer services" and response. And if I didn't make myself clear, a mogul is a spider, he sits on his web and hundreds of providers send him the ISK, he then sells it and sends back the RL cash, and of course he has a 30-60% part from the value in RL cash which he keeps for himself.
A mogul can make between 2-10k euros per month profit, I even heard this, that the total cash flow of one of this mogul's was untill now 200-300k euros ( the amount of money recevied for selling the ISK,GC,credits)and he is a small one, cause of course a mogul doesn't sell in only one game.
And the list can continue, also if someone job's is EVE of course he will be able to log at 2-4 am and protect his assests, it's not about alarm clocks, it's about his life style ...

Farmers and macro miners are good. In the case of macro mining it's about time Eve put in the tools for automated mining so more legit miners could set up big operations. The reason I say they are good is because what they bring to the table. These people are very motivated and constant, they show up everyday and fight in the game literally for their paycheck. They make for some wonderful opponents. For farmers and macro miners the only downside I see is the fact they can hide in NPC corps, which really needs to go away. We had one batch of farmers that our corp had been messing with for a month or two actually form a corp and bring in reenforcements to try to drive us out. That was the most fun I've had yet in Eve since 24/7 these guys were after us. Of course it went very poorly for them as PvP is not the same as Farming. After two weeks of making us rich with the componenets they dropped they broke up and went back to hiding in NPC corps. While hassling them was still fun it just wasn't the same as the open warfare.

If CCP was smart they'd start hiring the farmers to play as NPC's in the game. Farmers aren't usually as good as PvP'ers but they are a hell of alot more interesting than your standard NPC or Rat.
