Edited by: Lockheed on 10/12/2003 16:16:33 What is the ol sayin'? If it aint broke dont fix it. People have gotten used to flyin around beating pirate blockades. Pirates still make a hell of a lot of isk. Its no joke. With haulers being slowed to a stand still, and 8k distance until they can jump at these rates, it will take more people guarding the haulers. (time to only do missions, fly around in civ space, MINE only in systems with a base.) I am not gonna schedule a huge fleet to all move at once when so many live in different time zones. Small corps in alliances will suffer the most. This might be a chance for pvpers, and battles to start happening, but where do they get their materials for ships? I'll be hiking my prices for minerals to megatons of isk cause the only people buying will be the pirate that occasionally loses his ship which is fully covered by insurance. Ship builders along with miners should band together and really put the hurt on pirates. trit 14, pyer 24, mexa 32, iso 120, nocx 450, zyd 5k, mega 29k. If they wanna kill you everytime you pass though, when they lose a ship they gotta pay so you can pay for what you lost in cargo or the risk you stand to take everytime you hit one of those 8k traveling points to a gate. No way will i strike up a payment plan for safe passage through a pirate infected area. ITs plain stupid. I know you devs are on this game continuously. The majority of us have jobs and cannot afford to play eve 24-7. The balancing is getting way outtahand. TIME is a huge issue for us. I got an idea. Take a damn poll and see what your players in eve want. If they are paying for the stuff lets see what the vote would call for. where is my poll button! Dont do it on the website, cause more pirates hang out here than anywhere else. When I was a n00b i did not know there were forums so pls do it like one of those downtime messages, where they cannot ignore it and have to select no or yes. Everyone would have voting power then. Remember its good business practice to assume the customer is always right. I wont stand by and play a game that is 80% pirated cause that will be the only way to make isk.
Kill a ship with mods it tends to lose quite a few things that it was equipped with. The former "named" mod that was so expensive on the market is then sent back to deleted data and the block of space on the hard drive that was used to name such an item is then recycled to eve. This would require much more mining, much more trading to get a replacement bs IF you have the TIME. If you dont this means you have to play less time, spread over more days. It just keeps your subscription longer.
