So, as you all know, with Revelations, the Covops Cloak II now takes only 50 CPU at Covops lvl 4, and 0 at 5. I have the skill at 4, and would like some setups.
I've got a probe launcher and a cloak in the highs, as well as a salvager (why not, right?). I have nanofiber internals in the lows (love those things). My problem is the mids. What on earth do I stick into a ship that's paper thin and is unlikely to uncloak near an enemy (or live very long if it does). I've been considering sensor dampeners and a 20km scram, maybe along with an injector to help with cap.
Thoughs?

I usually leave the midslots be (had a MWD before WTZ). As you say yourself, the ship is paper thin, and in my opinion its better to risk a cheap inty for doing the scrambling then to uncloak a 100M ship that can't sustain itself for any worth. Besides, you will only occasionally have time to target and scramble your foe before he warps off or instafries you because of your targeting delay.

I would consider sticking a ECCM in there, it helps against being probed yourself. And as I heard being cloaked doesn't prevent you from being scanned.
Something I found interesting... ECCM can be activated while cloaked and keeps running. Makes me think it was intended to probe cloaked ships aswell.

I have two fittings. I DO NOT have any probe skills so at the moment my cheetah is only for scouting. However, I do have one that incorporates a probe launcher. Relevant skills are electronics upgrades V, engineering upgrades V, electronics V, engineering V, advanced weapons upgrade V, Covert Ops IV. Anyways here they are:
1 x cov ops cloak 2 x 125mm or 150mm II (really does not matter all that much which you choose)
1 x named MWD 2 x cap recharger I or named 1 x named small batter (will help negate the cap effects of the MWD)
2 x local inertial stabilizers 1 x MAPC
IF you had covert ops to level V and the above mentioned skills, you can fit this:
1 x cov ops cloak 1 x 125mm II (not sure the 150mm II will fit) 1 x probe launcher (recon will fit with 125mm II and probe will fit with 150mm II)
1 x named MWD 2 x cap recharger 1 x small battery II (if you have covert ops IV then you need to try something else do to CPU issues)
1 x MAPC 2 x local inertial stabilizers

Hmm, I didn't know about the ECCM. May have to read up on that. Might as well, oodles of CPU left and nothing to fit.
Also, the MAPC seems like an interesting idea.....might use it to fit an MWD and battery do to the whole plusing MWD trick.

You can NOT be probed down while cloaked. TomB said 6 months ago that it would be possible but that feature was never implemented. Maybe it will be some time in the future but not atm. ---------------------------------------- A Guide to Scan Probing in Revelations |

Yea I have to agree with alot of what has been said already. ATM there does not seem a point in fitting ECCM. When cloaked ships do become probable, then it will be worth it. Also, I do not fit tackling gear because the cov ops cloak is just too expensive. Even still, a recon can do a better job and hold its own a bit more if you really want a tackling probed ship.
The MWD is great if you happen to jump into a bubble or warp into a bubble and cannot cloak do to a corpse, ship, etc. being near you. The small battery will allow you to warp farther distances while still maintaining the speed of the MWD.

Always fit a propulsion mod onto your cov ops. When jumping in a dictor/bubble camp, burst it once before cloaking right after. If you don't, people will approach your last known location and decloak you.

Yes, people keep telling me that....only I've gotten out of two bubble camps without one....lag ftw, I guess

cloak, probes MWD, ECM bursts, cap battery II fitting/speed mods
reasoning: cap battery II for those long warps through 0.0, i dunno if the ship got better since i last flew one, but they ran out after 60 AU
